00:00Today we're trying Free Reign Coffee, which is a new coffee line founded by
00:05Kohlhauser, who plays Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone. The Free Reign Coffee comes
00:10in seven different flavors. Today we're trying the light roast, which is called
00:14Prospect, and the dark roast, which is called American Dirt. So let's start with
00:18the light. Great. Cheers. Cheers. This is the Prospect, the light roast.
00:23Prospect. Smooth, mild, and bright. Oh, that's good. Oh, it is smooth, mild, and
00:30bright. It's good. It's really not like very bitter at all. No. This is like a
00:35sipping on the Yellowstone Ranch porch. Yes. Gazing off into the Montana sunset
00:40type of coffee. As Yellowstone fans and Us Weekly readers are surely aware, Kevin
00:45Costner is not coming back to the show, but his storyline has not been wrapped
00:49up. So we are going to brainstorm different ways that we think John Dutton
00:54could be written off of Yellowstone in the final episodes. It's misleading that
00:58he has a voiceover in the trailer. As our detective, Eliza Thompson, found out,
01:01that is old footage, old quote. So we are like, what are they gonna do with John
01:05Dutton? We need to wrap this up. We're devastated. My first instinct was they're
01:10gonna kill him off, and I think one way that he could die is Beth, as she's
01:14trying to get revenge on her brother Jamie, will accidentally kill her dad
01:18John, whether that's by like poison in the whiskey or the coffee, or maybe just
01:22straight up by a gun. She might, she's gonna shoot the wrong Dutton. I like the
01:26idea that she's gonna use poison. It's Beth! She could have them brew it at the
01:31ranch. I also thought, you know, getting killed off, but in a way that has less to
01:38do with the Duttons. So when when the first half of the season ended, we had
01:43John as governor of Montana, and clearly like Jamie was trying to get him out of
01:49the governorship, and so I thought, what if they arrested him on, you know, some
01:54trumped-up charges of corruption, and he goes to prison, and then while he's in
01:58prison, he runs into some old people that, you know, have been screwed over by the
02:04Yellowstone ranch hands, and they kill him off in prison. That's a good one. And
02:08so it's like Jamie's fault, kind of, but really it's just like a random guy gets
02:13him. And you won't have to see it, obviously, because he will be off camera.
02:16Okay, so if he doesn't die, which I feel like they're gonna kill him, because
02:21even though like the show was set up with him being ill, they've
02:24kind of dropped that storyline. So if he doesn't die, my other guess is that
02:28Piper Perabo, his love interest, brings him to New York, and they just go full
02:33Coyote Ugly, and I need to fight the moonlight with Liam Rimes, and he's just,
02:36he gives it up, and he's just, he's moving to the mixed city with Piper Perabo.
02:40But you know what, there's one option we still didn't discuss, which is what if he
02:43gets taken to the train station? That's, that would be crazy. So his ranchers
02:47turn on him, Rip, or someone else takes him to the train station. If you know, you
02:52know, that would be nuts. Who would do it, though? Would it, it would be Rip? Rip is
02:56the lead conductor. He takes him to the train station. But would Beth be able to
03:02forgive him? Well, also, would Rip even do that? Because Rip is like, like, John
03:07Dutton is like a father figure to him, basically. So then we get a little
03:12Shakespearean. So maybe the ranchers... Now that, now I'm kind of into this. Okay, maybe,
03:16or just some of the lower-level ranchers. Taylor Sheridan, call us if you need those scripts finished.
03:19And we know you have like 75 spinoffs, so we can write one. Okay, so we're also
03:24going to try the dark roast flavor, which is called American Dirt. I love that name.
03:31Even just pouring it, I can tell, you poured some already? Yes. I can already
03:35tell it's definitely darker in color. So that, I think, means it's gonna have a
03:41little bit of a stronger flavor. It is definitely a strong smell. Yeah, this is a
03:47more traditional, like, wake up and smell the coffee smell. It's very earthy. Does that
03:55make sense? Oh, that's good, too. Yeah. The back of the bag says it's bold and
04:02smooth, which is true. It's not as light as the light roast, but it's still not as
04:09heavy as you might think of a dark roast being. Very drinkable. Very drinkable, good
04:13with cream. Get up and get after it. Yeah. That's what this is giving. I'm also, I
04:18also did not put cream in this one yet, and it is a lot smoother drinking
04:24than normally a black coffee would be. Than you would expect. Yeah. Rip Wheeler
04:28knows his coffee. He knows his coffee. So the backstory here is that hanging out
04:32in Montana and Wyoming where they they film Yellowstone, he was excited to get
04:38to understand the cowboy life, and so that was what inspired him to create
04:42Free Reign Coffee, and he wanted the flavors to embody the spirit of the
04:46West. Do you feel like he has succeeded here? I really do, and they are very
04:51smooth. I feel as though I am a cowboy. Please, please tell me, how can I get
04:55this coffee? Freereigncoffee.com. They also have mugs like the one Sarah is
04:59drinking from. It comes in both ground coffee bean bags like these, which are
05:03$16 each per bag, or you can get coffee pods for, you know, your Keurig or
05:08Nespresso, and those are $12 for a box of 12. Oh, that's not a bad deal.
