00:00Fennec's window is a Tyneside tradition dating back to 1971, with their first display devoted to Gamberwick Green,
00:07which was a popular children's TV programme that came out in 1966.
00:11Since then, Fennec have made short a change theme every year, such as their Aladdin display in 1975,
00:18their Jungle Fantasy in 1989, the Santa's Workshop in 2003,
00:23and they even did a 40 years of Fennec window back in 2011.
00:28Fennec have said the display tells a heartwarming story of Foggy, a determined partridge with a special Christmas wish.
00:34As thousands come to Newcastle just to see the exhibit every festive season,
00:38we spoke with the public about their thoughts on this year's display.
00:42Honestly, it's amazing. I would say it's to top it from last year. It's better than last year.
00:49I'm just glad it's back to the traditional Fennec's window.
00:54That's what the kids love. It's really lovely.
00:59I think the costume is a little bit better than last year.
01:02It looks so good and white, so transparent for kids to see.
01:06People struggling with their eye levels, so I don't know, I'm just saying a random talk.
01:10But I think it's quite better than last year.
01:13I think it's going down in tradition, it's making Newcastle really look good.
01:19The way the point houses have come out here and looking at it, it's really, really good.
01:24The shop's done well with us this year. I think a lot of people are happy about it.
01:29I think it's fantastic. It is every year. We come up most years because we have family up here.
01:35I love coming down Northumberland Street, but Fennec's shop window, it's always the highlight.
01:41I like doing a little video for little relatives back home and that, including my daughter.
01:47Who's 27?
01:51It's very imaginative every year. There's something different.
01:54It's not just based on one theme. Everything surrounding Christmas is lovely. It's great.
