00:00Disney plus is finally adding one of users most demanded features a top 10 list but how will it

00:08work and what can you expect to see on it? I'm tech writer Matt Mohn Hickson and here's all you

00:13need to know. Next time you open up your Disney plus app if you're struggling for inspiration to

00:17decide what to watch there will now be a list of the 10 most popular films and tv shows on the

00:23streaming service right now kind of like the list they've got on Netflix. Disney says that it will

00:30factor in both the content available to you so based on your region and also your subscription

00:36like there's some tiers that around the world where if you don't pay for a higher tier you

00:41don't get access to certain content like in the US the Hulu I think you have to pay to get

00:47what was Hulu content on Disney plus they've recently merged and also if you've got any

00:54settings like content rating settings so if you've got kids that use your app and you don't

00:59want them to see things that are 12 plus or 15 plus or 18 plus that won't appear in the top 10

01:05list even if it is trending it won't appear there because of your settings and for deciding what

01:11goes in the top 10 itself as well as those factors already mentioned Disney says it will based on

01:17things like the total views of an episode and a movie within a day so like the most recent day

01:24the last 24 hours or so and also the growing popularity of new titles released so if something's

01:29trending up it will start to appear on the list and then I guess if it's trending it'll trend higher

01:34and higher in the list as it gains more popularity the top 10 list will be available for almost all

01:40Disney plus profiles the company said the only exception right now is junior mode which is like

01:47yeah for kids that's not going to have a top 10 list at the moment maybe that'll come down the

01:52line but not currently and hopefully that'll give some nice inspiration for when you really can't

01:58pick what to watch on a weekend when you're having a binge
