Defender Jack Murray was Elgin City's match winner against Stranraer
Transcript
00:00Yes, it went well for us. Obviously, it was a tough game the way things worked out in
00:05the second half with Russell obviously getting sent off, but I think the boys dug deep and
00:10they were happy, delighted with the three points in the end.
00:12It was a late goal last week against Clyde in the cup that kept you in it. It was a very
00:15early goal today, less than two minutes. That's a flying start, isn't it?
00:19Yes, that's exactly what we're after. I thought we were going to kick on from there, but maybe
00:23it didn't quite go that way. Credit to Stranraer, I thought they gave us a difficult game today.
00:29It's clearly a message from the manager for you to get to the end of a lot of these set
00:32pieces and crosses and get yourself in that box whenever you can and you're doing the business.
00:36Yes, it's down to the boys as well, obviously, putting that delivery in, which gives you
00:40something to go on attack. I thought it was a great ball. I can't remember who played
00:43it in today, but yes, it was a great ball in.
00:45Keehan?
00:45Was it Keehan's ball? Yes, it was a great delivery.
00:48So, you've got six goals now, is it?
00:50Six now, yes. I think it's gone well for me so far. Obviously, getting on the score sheets
00:56is what you want to do. There's no better feeling than scoring a goal, but we were happy
00:59with a clean sheet today as well. So, yes, it was a good Saturday for us.
01:02That's the bread-and-butter stuff that I defended, you know, the clean sheet and you had to work
01:07hard to keep that clean sheet.
01:08Yes, we did. There were a few tired legs today, obviously, with the game last week as well,
01:12going into the extra time. There were a few heavy legs today, but yes, we grinded it out.
01:16There have been a few changes, obviously, down to injuries, suspensions and whatnot.
01:21But, yes, I think you know what you're going to get from the boys that are coming in.
01:24Yes, you've just got to do a decent job and that's what we've done today.
01:28So, 11 games in, six wins, five draws, still unbeaten and joint top in terms of points
01:33with these five. Could you ask for a much better start?
01:36Yes, we've looked into probably a couple of draws that we should have probably turned
01:39into wins. But, overall, you can't really complain. It's been a good start, but that's
01:44all it is, is a start, isn't it? So, we've got to keep it going.
01:47It must be a really good dressing room as well just now, is it?
01:49Yes, it is. It's buzzing just now. Yes, the lads are confident and we believe we can go
01:53into any game and win.
01:54And the fans are giving you good backing here as well.
01:56I can sense that the crowds are getting a little bit bigger, a bit more belief that
02:00the team is really going places.
02:01Yes, definitely. There was a good turnout there today, yes.
02:04So, we've just got to keep that coming and hopefully they can spur us on in tough moments.
