00:00The government's ideal institution is the PIA.
00:04It wants to make all the institutions in Pakistan the same way they made the PIA.
00:10And it wants to fill it with so many people that there is no end to it.
00:15For example, it is an absurd argument to say that the judges should be increased in the Supreme Court for pendency.
00:23At present, the Supreme Court of the United States has nine judges.
00:28The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom has 12 judges.
00:32The Supreme Court of Germany has 16 judges.
00:34The Supreme Court of India, which is four times bigger than us, has 33 judges, but fewer judges.
00:42You never come to the conclusion that we are reducing the pendency by filling the Supreme Court with judges.
00:50You had also asked Dr. Singh that the total number of cases pending in the lower courts in Pakistan is approximately 4.7 million.
00:59That is, 4.5 million cases which are pending are not a priority for the government.
01:04There are 50,000 pending cases, and I can tell you that half of them are resolvable and have no significance.
01:16There are cases in the Supreme Court of which 25,000 are important and have to be resolved.
01:21And it has nothing to do with the legal community.
01:27You have seen that the principle of separation was destroyed through the 26th amendment.
01:35Now they do not understand that the remaining 17 judges in the Supreme Court should not be more than 13 in Pakistan.
01:43There are still more than 5 judges in the Supreme Court, if you look at the international standards.
01:48They want the judges to write the decision first and then send it to the law minister to see it.
02:01And then if he agrees, the decision should be announced or not.
02:05The government wants to end the existence of the Supreme Court as an institution.
02:10And they have tried the same in the 26th amendment.
02:13And now that the 17 judges are not being discussed, they want to take it to 25.
02:19And then look at the destruction that is happening.
02:22The non-league should have thought about this.
02:26Where in the world is the Supreme Court based on the provinces?
02:29This is the province's quota, this is the province's quota.
02:32The 18th amendment has destroyed the federation in Pakistan.
02:37And now when the Supreme Court, last line, with your permission,
02:42When you will distribute the Supreme Court on the provinces, you are destroying the federation.
02:49I don't understand that no one is going to talk about this there.
02:52Tell me one more example in the world where the Supreme Court is based on the provinces and not on the federation.
02:58You said that there should be 13 judges according to the population of Pakistan.
03:05There are more than 25, which was the example of other countries.
