The Lord Shiva Statue at Murudeshwara is the world's second-largest Shiva statue, after the one in Nepal. It's near the old Murudeshwara Temple in the town of Murudeshwara. The statue and temple are situated on the seashore in Murudeshwara, which is situated on the Arabian Sea coast.
Murudeshwar Temple's 72-meter-high Gopuram, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, was completed in 2008. To go to the top, you can take the elevator. The statue was created by Shivamogga's Kashinath and several other sculptors at a cost of around $50 million, which was funded by industrialist and philanthropist R. N. Shetty.
