00:00I'm going to start with a very basic, silly question that I'm sure you get all the time.
00:04Why did you make your movie?
00:06Pete Docter asked me.
00:08Oh, simple enough answer.
00:10I seriously, I had on my calendar, I had a meeting pop up, which was with Pete Docter,
00:17who's our chief creative officer and the director of the first film,
00:20and Jim Morris, our president at Pixar.
00:22She said, Jim, Pete, Kelsey meeting Jim's office.
00:26I'm like, uh-oh, what is this meeting?
00:28This is either the best meeting or the worst meeting in the world.
00:32It ended up being the best.
00:33That was the one where Pete was thinking about worlds we could go and revisit.
00:39And I was like, oh, I think he might ask me to do a sequel.
00:41I was thinking about all the movies that I worked on.
00:43And then he said, Inside Out.
00:46And it kind of threw me.
00:47I was like, oh, my God, me?
00:49He goes, yeah, I think you'd be a good person to go off and see if there's an idea.
00:53So that's kind of where it all sparked from,
00:55that random meeting that was on my calendar.
