00:00We have seen that the Edufin Index confirms this year's fragility in terms of financial education of some targets.
00:13In particular, I focus on young people, where this year there is an important novelty,
00:19and therefore the inclusion in schools, as you know, by law, of financial education.
00:24And precisely for this reason, with the integration of the Edufin Index,
00:27we wanted to conduct a further market research on parents and teachers,
00:31to understand the expectations, from this point of view, for the inclusion of financial education in schools.
00:37What emerges in super-supersynthesis?
00:40First of all, today the level of knowledge of this novelty is still low,
00:46only one out of four teachers is familiar with this novelty of the law,
00:53and half of the parents have never heard of it.
00:56In terms of expectations, the judgment of this novelty is very positive,
01:02two out of three teachers, and also two out of three teachers among parents,
01:05have high expectations for this novelty,
01:08and eight out of ten parents say they are very happy, in general.
01:14What are the expectations in terms of what topics to deal with by the parents?
01:20The parents claim to have some priorities,
01:23the first thing is to teach their children how to manage a payment,
01:27the other thing is how to behave in the face of fraud,
01:31and then in general, let's say, the system and the value of money,
01:35and a little, let's say, the functioning of the financial system.
01:39The last interesting evidence, in my opinion,
01:42is also the expectation of the teachers' preparation.
01:46The parents are particularly positive,
01:50and therefore 66% of the parents believe that the teachers are ready
01:56for this kind of, let's say, culture to be transmitted to their children,
02:02and that therefore they are all prepared, or at least part of them.
02:05The teachers have a little less confidence in this regard,
02:07and therefore a little more than half of the teachers claim to be prepared,
02:10or in any case, in short, to have, let's say, some foundations,
02:15so we certainly have a theme of training of the teachers
02:20in order to be able to be sure of, let's say,
02:23obtaining excellent results also from this point of view.
02:25What we are doing, in support of this novelty, let's say,
02:30within the school, is to follow, as an insurance alliance,
02:34together with AIF, the Italian Association of Financial Educators,
02:37a project, already in this school year,
02:40where we are going to bring, let's say, to put in common
02:43our competences as a private institution,
02:45precisely, which works with the public sector,
02:47and therefore to put in common our competences
02:49and support teachers in their training
02:52and the students to also have, a little, all the answers,
02:55in anticipation that, clearly, this novelty then takes place in a complete way.
