00:00An office in Manila was attacked by a love and cryptocurrency scam.

00:07Almost 70 people were arrested.

00:10Emil Sumangin witnessed it.

00:12The warrant to disclose computer data issued by the court was a big hit.

00:19Ray of the BNP Anti-Cybercrime Group has this office space in Malate, Manila,

00:25which is known to be visited by online scammers.

00:30According to the PNPACG, 68 people were arrested.

00:34They received more than 50 complaints against the establishment since January.

00:39Their modus here is to make the people they talk to on the website fall in love with a dating app.

00:46And later on, when they were able to win the hearts of the victims,

00:52they encouraged them to invest in cryptocurrency.

00:57This is a modus of an investment scam where they use not dollars or pesos,

01:05but instead cryptocurrency.

01:07Most of the victims are looking for a partner based abroad.

01:11And if they can't find one, the victims are automatically blocked on the website.

01:17The victims are also foreign nationals.

01:20The suspects are still in the raided office space while the Bureau of Immigration and Manila City Hall

01:27is waiting for them to proceed with the arrests and the evidence.

01:32We are still trying to get the names of the arrested.
