00:00So do you think that, um, all right, so, so judge has these monster seasons, 62, 58, 144
00:10RBIs.
00:11Do you feel that we, we said earlier in the show that he will not be remembered for any
00:17of that.
00:18Frankly, he's going to be remembered for being a post-season flop.
00:21He has been since he has been in over 50 games in, in playoffs over his short career.
00:30And now I mean, he's hitting, Oh 91, Austin Wells is hitting a hundred.
00:36I mean, honestly, I have never seen a superstar this bad in any sport ever in a big game,
00:45in a big moment, in a big light, in a big spotlight, like the world series, this guy
00:49made the world series and he is the most anemic at bat.
00:54He misses by two feet and he swings at everything.
00:58He's out within 45 seconds.
01:02Well that's the modern game, Scott.
01:04And that's part of baseball's problem now is that they have taught batters that that
01:10hitting the ball out of the park is the primary goal and making contact and getting on base
01:16and all that stuff and moving the runners and all that stuff means less than if you
01:21hit the ball, it's got to go out of the park.
01:23And that's why you can have a circumstance where somebody could be, you know, a 50 home
01:28run guy and a 144 RBI guy or whatever.
01:33And he only hits 230.
01:34I mean, that, that happens or some approximation to that happens in major league baseball every
01:39year now, because that's what they've been taught.
01:42And so that's how you wind up to some extent.
01:44That's how you wind up with a guy hitting 090 in postseason baseball.
01:49I agree with you that that will be a part of his memory.
01:53However, he does get the chance, I don't think this year, but he gets the chance next year
01:58and he still has several years after that where he'll be considered to be in his prime
02:02where he can change the narrative, but he has to change it.
02:06If it stays like this, this will haunt his legacy without a doubt.
02:12If there hadn't been the 2006 season for Peyton Manning with the Colts, then that's
02:20what they would remember in Indy is that he was as great a regular season quarterback
02:24as anyone's ever been.
02:26But then the postseason came along and he didn't get it done.
02:28If it hadn't been for them getting that Superbowl, that's what people would think about.
02:33But he got that one and then he kind of got the one, you got to give him some credit for
02:37the one in Denver several years later.
02:40And as a result of that, that's not what people think about when they think about Peyton
02:44Manning.
02:45But it came very close.
02:46And that's why I have to say about Judge that he's not going to change it this year, almost
02:51certainly, but he'll have to change it himself in the next couple of years.
02:57This year.
02:58What are you, a comedian?
02:59Like, hey, hey, we have we saw that we saw the Red Sox come from four down.
03:04We did.
03:05We did.
03:06We saw it happen.
03:07It did happen.
03:08Stop!
03:09You already know that's not happening.
03:10It's not going to happen, but I have to allow for the possibility.
03:13That's not happening.
