00:00Hi, my name is Ria Ramesh and I'm reporting for Lancashire Post. Today we're going to
00:06ask the people, if money was no object, where would be the best place to live in Lancashire?
00:12To be fair, Longridge is quite a nice place if you've got the money, because I live in
00:18Longridge anyway, but definitely like round Ribble Valley would be Longridge. I can't
00:23think of anywhere else. Liven is alright. You could also go like Thorne and Cleve and
00:30Thorne and Colwyn. Then you'd want to see as well, because when it's nice weather. I'm
00:34backing anywhere in Ribble Valley. Clitherow is quite nice as well, I'd live in Clitherow
00:38if I had the money. Where are you guys from? I'm from Preston. I live in Kirkham. Ribble
00:46Valley. I'd live somewhere in the lakes, like Derwent Water. Anywhere else? No, I don't
00:59think so. Definitely in the lakes somewhere. Liven is a good one. I'd go with that as well.
01:05So I think the best place to live in Lancashire is Adlington, which is the village that I
01:10live in. It's just past Chorley and towards Holton Lake. It is between Chorley and Horwich
01:18and it is probably one of the nicest villages that I've lived in. There's so many people
01:24there and they're just really friendly and once you get talking to them, you can talk
01:29to them for absolutely hours about absolutely anything. Obviously there's a few nice pubs
01:36here and there where you can go to mingle but just walking through the street, you'll
01:41pass by people, you know, give them a smile and a nod and they'll give it right back.
01:46In some other places, you'll find that they'll just give you a bit of a grimace. Everybody
01:53knows everybody in Adlington and if you're brand new to the community, people will make
01:58sure that you feel very welcome while you're there. This man chose Preston as one of the
02:03best places in Lancashire. Preston is one of the best places to live. It's not too
02:07expensive, it's affordable, lovely areas depending on what area you live in. The town centre
02:13is really vibrant, there's plenty of shopping malls, there's a deep little retail park,
02:18absolutely massive. You've got all the flannels, all the food places and this shop, Cold Cabin,
02:23which has been here for 27 years, 28 years, is the best phone shop in town and you want
02:28to come here and buy all these stuff from us.
