00:51Solas, Dragon Age Inquisition
00:54You are Mythal's creature now.
00:57Everything you do, whether you know it or not, will be for her.
01:01You have given up a part of yourself.
01:03Solas basically has the personality of a disgruntled, pretentious old man.
01:08Making him really isn't easy, as he tends to disapprove of so many things the player
01:13does or says.
01:14Most players are likely to only get the occasional Solas slightly approves, and that's the best
01:20one can hope for.
01:21If you want to get with the moody, bald mage, you must be an elven female inquisitor and
01:26ask a lot of questions.
01:40Any other combinations will yield no romantic love from Solas.
01:45Getting on his good side will eventually lead to a dreamy stroll in the Fade, followed by
01:49a passionate kiss.
01:51He'll even dance with you, but don't expect a long-term relationship.
01:56Solas has a secret lupine identity that changes things.
02:04Meryl, Dragon Age 2
02:17Meryl is great.
02:18She's very naive, yet also a little complicated.
02:21She likes to dabble in blood magic, is a bit of a pariah to her clan, and becomes obsessed
02:27with reconstructing an eluvium, a magic crossroads mirror, dangerous for a variety of reasons.
02:42The first hesitation in the Meryl romance comes from her anxieties towards being with
02:47a human, what her clan will think, and the true dangers of pursuing her mirror project.
02:53Basically, Meryl has a lot going on.
02:56However, she will be 100% committed to the relationship long-term, should you stick with
03:01her long enough to see her grow and mature.
03:15Leliana, Dragon Age Origins
03:25Leliana comes from a difficult background, after which she has found faith in the Maker.
03:30She can also be romanced by either male or female players.
03:34Since she is a pious woman, Leliana will be attracted to and quickly approve of good behavior
03:40and a helpful attitude.
03:41So don't try anything if you've decided to go renegade, as it won't be easy.
03:54Unlike some more frisky characters, we're looking at you, Zevran, Leliana won't join
03:59you on your bedroll until she has fallen in love with you, as she's all about a stable
04:04relationship.
04:05Unless you have your persuasion skill topped, don't sleep around and try to lie to her.

04:17Isabella, Dragon Age II
04:19I asked Lucky and his boys to track down something I lost.
04:22They failed to do it.
04:24It's nothing to worry about, and this is much more important.
04:28Contrary to our previous entry, Isabella is unsurprisingly lustful.
04:33She will bed you in a passionate, aggressive moment and then claim she doesn't want to
04:37bring feelings into it.
04:39She tells a tale of her former husband, to whom she was sold by her mother.
04:43After his death, she told herself she'd never be tied down again.
04:48We were using each other, sweet thing.
04:51I was curious about you, and now my curiosity is sated.
04:56Oh, and Isabella is basically a pirate.
04:59So expect some inevitable narrative deception.
05:03But if you're on her good side, she'll show up at the right moment to make amends.
05:07In the end, love finds a way into her reluctant heart.
05:20Josephine Montreliat, Dragon Age Inquisition
05:24Sister Leliana approached me.
05:26We've been acquainted for quite some time.
05:28For better or worse, being the Inquisition's diplomat has become as interesting as she
05:33promised.
05:34If you're more of the romance, novel variety, Josephine is the one for you.
05:39Unlike some of the other romantic contenders, Josephine isn't difficult to romance.
05:44You just have to be charming, really.
05:46There is no approval rating for her character, so simple common sense is required in selecting
05:51the proper dialogue prompts.
05:52If she is successfully wooed, it's really just a sitting-by-the-fireplace-and-cuddling
06:05type of romance.
06:07She even pops her leg when you kiss her.
06:09Honestly, it's corny, but she's an attractive, well-dressed, proper woman of diplomatic elegance
06:14and let's face it, you could do much worse.
06:18I would never have you face it alone.
06:21Alistair, Dragon Age Origins
06:32Alistair is your first real friend in Dragon Age, and if you want to take it to that next
06:37level, you can.
06:38Alistair will only become romantically involved if the player is a female, so keep that in
06:44mind.
06:45He also, given his past, has no experience in the language of love, mentally and physically,
06:50so you'll have to teach him a thing or two.
06:52The inexperience is really kind of adorable.
07:02To get into his medieval pants, you'll have to appeal to his sense of humor, but carefully
07:07balance this with not mocking him or his fragile memories.
07:11Otherwise, he's kind of easy, given his naivety.
07:15It's a lot like Cullen's romance in Inquisition, minus Delirium Addict's anonymous meetings.
07:27Dorian Pavus, Dragon Age Inquisition
07:30Ah, Dorian, fabulous, extravagant Dorian.
07:43He's only available romantically if the Inquisitor is male, regardless of race.
07:48He's quick-witted and humorous, which he sometimes uses to cover up his issues back home.
07:54Dorian's father shunned him for preferring the company of men, though there's ample opportunity
07:58for the player to let Papa Pavus know the Inquisitor's feelings on the matter.
08:12The romance with Dorian is passionate.
08:15The relationship is long-term, yet eventually becomes a long-distance one as Dorian returns
08:20to Tevinter to take on a political role.
08:22As long as he keeps that amazing mustache, we're cool.
08:36Cassandra Pentegast, Dragon Age Inquisition
08:40The people of Haven mourn our most holy, divine Justinia, head of the Chantry.
08:46The conclave was hers.
08:48Cassandra makes her first appearance in Dragon Age 2 as she interrogates Varric about Hawke's
08:53actions.
08:54She seems cold and confrontational, as an interrogator should be.
08:58That's why it's a little surprising when she shows up in Inquisition and can be wooed.
09:03She's only interested in a relationship with a male, whether you're human, qunari, or
09:08anything in between.
09:17Courting her leads to a poetry-reading picnic in a grove, complete with candles and relations
09:22on a blanket.
09:24Cassandra loves a good, trashy novel, but everything about her romance is meaningful,
09:29heartfelt, and utterly captivating.
09:36The Iron Bull, Dragon Age Inquisition
09:46If you're looking for what is arguably one of the most entertaining cutscenes in Thedas,
09:51romance Iron Bull.
09:53He isn't picky.
09:54He'll accept advances from all races and both genders, though he is big on the rules of
09:59engagement before you attempt to ride the bull.
10:13If all is accepted, the romance blossoms into something fiery and hilarious, given how public
10:19it becomes later down the line.
10:21If you want to declare your love, make Bull a dragon's tooth necklace.
10:25If not, just call it off and it's no hard feelings.
10:29Though we doubt you'll be able to forget the experience.
10:43Morrigan, Dragon Age Origins
10:53Morrigan is arguably one of the most popular characters in the franchise.
10:57In the first game, Morrigan can be romanced if the player is male.
11:01You can have a casual relationship, or with some extra work, a more meaningful liaison.
11:06She's quite cold and very standoffish, but with time and personal quests, the complexities
11:12of the so-called Witch of the Wilds becomes apparent.
11:15The problem is, she initially considers love to be a weakness, so perseverance is key.
11:25Should you play your cards right, Morrigan's romance can transcend into Inquisition, where
11:30she and the Grey Warden will have a child together.
11:33Turns out she's actually soft underneath, just don't let her hear you say that.
11:38What else can we say, her relationship with Morrigan is utterly compelling.
