00:00Dallas Cowboys taking on the 49ers. 49ers pulling off a 30-24 victory.
00:04Before I went to the break, we were talking about some of Dak Prescott's numbers
00:08and kind of what the Dallas Cowboys offense was trying to get going. But
00:11what's very crucial for this team is that no matter how hard they work
00:14offensively, they just don't really have the defense
00:17there to hold off their opponent. Flipping over to the Niners for a
00:20second though, let's talk a little Brock Purdy. 121 passing yards, 9 for 13, but he
00:24was able to extend the number of plays tonight.
00:27Third down conversions were just abysmal, but on tight end day
00:31their hero was George Kittle in a number of ways. So what do we make of this
00:35performance by the 49ers with all the injuries that they have going on, Tom?
00:40I would say it's good and it's ultimately, I think it's
00:44encouraging, like an encouraging sign pointing forward of
00:47of ultimately what they should be looking at or what they should be
00:50planning to do on offense. You know, Kittle getting involved, the
00:54Debo thing, like this may be a week-to-week thing. They said, you know,
00:57he had pneumonia and he had fluid in his lungs last week
01:00and he's out there. And you know, one of the points I made on the Halftime Show
01:03today at 2.30 is like, I didn't expect Debo to play a full
01:06complement of snaps, but when he was on the field, they would
01:09try to get him the ball. As we saw, four carries, four receptions, like I made
01:14this point about Debo. I made this in week one on Monday night when
01:17CMC was ruled out. They tried to get Debo the ball.
01:21It's bubble screens and jet sweeps and running plays and these handoffs and
01:25whatever it might be. They tried to get him the ball and
01:28ultimately, that's what we could be seeing from Debo.
01:30Maybe not next, like down the line, but maybe next week where
01:34he plays 75% of snaps, but when he's on the field, they want to get him the ball.
01:38And then if it's not him, it's going to be George Kittle as number one. And then
01:41if you figure out what's going on in the backfield, Jordan Mason is hurt with his
01:43shoulder, which he hurt in the game in Seattle. He left briefly,
01:47came back and he has another shoulder injury. It's going to be Isaac Arendo on
01:50the backfield with Pat Taylor as their fourth string, who's now their second
01:54string backup. So I think the 49ers will figure things
01:57out and I think the fans, and if you're a future ticket
02:00holder, you actually should be cautiously optimistic.
02:04Yeah, nothing too bad because we still saw some pretty good things out of
02:07Arendo considering the circumstances.
