00:00Floods, landslides, and flooding.
00:03Whenever it rains, the lives of those living in flood-stricken areas are affected,
00:07like the residents of Barangay Tatalon in Quezon City.
00:09This is Baya Pinlang's report.
00:14Floods are no longer new to the residents of Barangay Tatalon in Quezon City.
00:18For some of them, this is how their lives have changed.
00:22Whenever it rains and floods, they are used to being clean.
00:27At around 2 a.m., the rain stopped,
00:30but the flood still persists here on Araneta Avenue in Quezon City.
00:35The flood in Barangay Tatalon lasted for more than a week.
00:39That's why some residents had to ride their boats.
00:42After a few hours, the flood slowly subsided.
00:46Some residents started cleaning their houses,
00:49which were filled with black and dirty water.
00:52It's tiring to move around like this.
00:57But we're used to it.
01:00We've been used to this since we were kids.
01:03So, we can't help but experience this kind of flood.
01:13But it's okay.
01:15Gemma came from the evacuation center.
01:19She was forced to go through the flood to start cleaning
01:23before her kids came home.
01:26Floods are really common in their area.
01:28That's why they're used to doing it whenever the weather is bad.
01:32When it rains, we know that it's going to be flooded.
01:35We know that it's going to be evacuated.
01:38We know what to do.
01:39We're used to it. It's normal for us.
01:41It's tiring for a few days.
01:43It takes almost a week to clean and wash,
01:46but we're still living here.
01:48There's nothing we can do.
01:49Some trucks slowed down when the flood hit Araneta Avenue
01:53so that the water inside the houses on the side of the road
01:56wouldn't overflow again.
