Imposter Mommas Boy Custom Sixth Scale Figure By Maccabre Art Studio
Transcript
00:00Come on Roy, get your hands dirty! Here's a look at the Impostor Mama's Boy custom
00:04six-scale figure by Macabre Arts Studio.
00:13Just before we get down to the blood-dripping details to the Impostor
00:17here, first I'd like to thank Daniel Terzo and of course Tinella for this
00:21honored opportunity to showcase again one of their custom horror six-scale
00:25figures. We've looked at I believe now three of them here on this channel but
00:28being that Friday the 13th part 5 is a guilty pleasure of mine, this was the one
00:33I was the most excited for. Now this was a limited run though of only 10 produced
00:37and once that run of 10 had sold out it's never gonna be produced again. If
00:42you'd like to follow though Daniel Terzo and Tinella over on their socials. He's
00:46doing a lot more on Facebook and on Instagram and as well I would certainly
00:50encourage if you guys are interested to have a custom project made by Daniel
00:53perhaps a review like this will give you an idea of just the talented work that
00:57he does behind the scenes. Now where I've also got this guy currently on a
01:00display stand, truth be told he doesn't actually come with a stand but it's the
01:04best way to kind of keep everything on him stable and of course I'll
01:07still go ahead and take the tape measure and we'll measure to the very top of the
01:10figure. Now he has right now the mask, we're not gonna do the reveal just yet.
01:13You're looking at though the Impostor Mama's Boy standing at about 12 inches
01:18in height or the figures almost 30 centimeters tall. Also thanks to Daniel
01:23not only did he provide one of the limited run of 10 but he also wanted to
01:27provide as well the original prototype so you guys could see the stages of
01:30changes that he made. The biggest changes probably is the height. Roy now in the
01:34final run figure is a much taller figure than the original prototype. He also made
01:38some significant changes to the boots where the original ones were a little
01:42bit larger and browner in color. He wanted to make it the most screen
01:45accurate so he revised that with the final run as well. The lucky 10 that were
01:49able to participate on this very limited run would then be happy to find the
01:52following accessories inside their boxes. First figure comes with a cleaver.
01:56The cleaver, the machete and the shears were all made using the real material so
01:59you've got cool first of all to the touch metal and you've got a real
02:02nicely crafted wood handle on all three of them. These were all three created by
02:05Tenell's talented husband David. Because they're also using the real material it
02:09has the natural weight and feel that goes along with it as well. It's a nice
02:12treat because half the time when we get six scale figures from a retail level
02:15they're always made of plastic. Now the cleaver is probably the cleanest of the
02:19three accessories. I don't want to add any unnecessary blood to it. I do feel
02:22like there's a bit of a bird edge to the bottom of this so let me be careful not
02:25to run my finger across it. But again the attention to detail when it comes to
02:28wood handle that's one thing that would be consistent with the other two
02:31accessories that we look at. Next thing that we're gonna look at is of course a
02:34very rusted looking machete. If you were to compare the two obviously the machete
02:38looks like the one that's been left behind the longest. It does have normally
02:41again some blood caked across it. It's got some rust on there as well. Things I
02:45also really think that are nice touches is that they add a little bit of wear
02:47marks there on the bottom of the handle. So this looks like it's been something
02:51that's been used repeatedly and then just discarded away. Lastly of the things
02:55that David participated in the figure does come also included with the shears.
02:58By far as my favorite of the accessories and one of my favorite kills in all the
03:02Friday franchise as well as the fact he literally just goes down and just clips
03:05the girl's eyes together. Now because he's done that you can see there's a lot
03:09of blood that's now been caked across the blades here. Again cool to the touch
03:13because they're using the real metal and you got nice wood stained handles there
03:16as well. All these accessories as they are right now can be gripped by the
03:20imposter as he does have gripping hands right now. He does also have a series of
03:23swappable hands too. Just before we actually look at the swappable hands
03:26continuing on with the tools of the trade the character also comes in clear
03:29with the the road flare. Now the road flare again one of my favorite kills he
03:33sticks in this guy's mouth. As you can see it's already ignited on the end of
03:36it. This has nicely been accomplished by adding a little bit yellow. You got some
03:39orange in there as well. Of course capped on the top and on the bottom you got the
03:43red with the white in the middle. Really nice little accessory. Rounding out the
03:46last of it the figure also comes included with the the stick that he uses
03:49to tighten around the guy's eyes. Now I don't know if this they've actually used
03:53a real leather material for the actual strap or if they've actually used a
03:57stick or if they've even used wood for that matter but it's a nice little
04:00effective accessory. Not one I would really display along with the character
04:03like if I had the chance to have this guy on display by far the first thing I
04:07would go to right away is the shears before I actually put them into his hand
04:10and show you guys what that looks like. Speaking of hands the character also
04:13does come in clear with a pair of closed fists. I mean really for all the
04:17things that he has why would you ever beeline it back to having closed fists?
04:21The fists themselves continue one trend at least they're very dirty. You can see
04:25they're just caked in dirt and mud and all the other things that he has. He also
04:28comes included with one relaxed hand. I would have said two but like he has one
04:32kind of more specifically dedicated relaxed hand and then he has a hand that
04:36looks like it's there to hold something. Now the thing I was thinking about is it
04:39probably is there to hold the road flare. Isn't to say really that you can have
04:43the road flare with his gripping hand right now but I guess if you want to have
04:45the hand relaxed a little bit holding the flare you probably could use a hand
04:48for that as well. With that all in mind let's go ahead and take the figure off
04:52the display stand. I just want to show you guys as well like the very bloody
04:55looking hands. Now if I had the chance oh if I only had had a chance to display
05:00this guy on the shelf by far I would have gone with right away the shears.
05:03The shears themselves basically just slide up into his hands because this is
05:07the figure I'm gonna be returning back and we'd be very very careful with
05:09handling everything that comes included with him but if you want to see what he
05:12looks like with the shears in his hands I mean that would probably be the look
05:16that you'd be seeing the last look you'd be seeing of the imposter before he
05:19clipped those eyes shut. Very very cool. Let's go ahead and just carefully remove
05:23the shears. I want to slide them off from both sides here. It also seems to I mean
05:30clearly is the case that the blood is only really on these hands. Now the
05:34amount of blood that they've added to this is just incredible. Super super gory
05:38super super cool. Of course when you get the actual outfit here now the outfit
05:43itself that the actual bodysuit and the the coveralls of her top are all done
05:46carefully by Tanella. Tanella we all know how careful she is and how creative she
05:51is when it comes to actually tooling sixth scale costumes like this and
05:54obviously for the imposter I think she's done a really nice job here. There's of
05:57course the zipper there on the front. We've got a couple of pockets off to the
05:59side. He's got the cutaway mark that's left behind from the the dueling
06:03chainsaw there and he also of course has the gash there featured on the front. Now
06:06if I was to kind of move everything out of the way I did want to bring back in
06:09the prototype because the prototype doesn't have any of that. Not only again
06:13is a slightly smaller figure but you can see as well like the colors a little bit
06:17different. It doesn't have the gash marks featured on the front. It doesn't have
06:20also a little marking that he has on the shoulder either from the chainsaw but
06:23again like it just shows you guys where he would have started the design process
06:26with and where he would have ended up. Also one thing I did want to show you
06:29guys too is the original design for the boot that he had. It's a larger looking
06:33boot. I want to show you guys what the final run figure looked like. I'm just
06:36gonna slide up his pant leg here. You can see like the boots are a
06:39little bit more narrow and they're a lot darker in color. The original concept for
06:43the boots had them more in brown but again he's always refining this. He
06:47really wants to hit those standards that he expects not only for himself but his
06:50customers as well. As for the actual mask here now he did provide two masks with
06:55this release of I want to say Roy but with the imposter. He has one that has
06:59the wet as you can see there's like water dripping down the front of the
07:03face but then also he also included the regular cleaner looking mask. I do I
07:10have to admit like the water on the front of the mask does add a little bit
07:13of extra charm to the character but again if you wanted to you can have a
07:17guest displayed it with the clean mask or without. In both the cases very
07:21carefully made. I'm gonna go ahead well in a second obviously I'm gonna remove
07:24the mask but I did want to show you guys what that mask looks like. You got of
07:27course the difference of Roy's chevrons there featured from the front. Instead of
07:31having the chevron in the middle he has it now the little side blue ones there
07:34and also something that the original mask would have had too is the little
07:37markings of the blue on the top because obviously he would have made this to
07:40look like as you would have wanted to make this look like Jason so he did his
07:44best even though really he doesn't he doesn't follow really the same placement
07:47of chevrons you think if he was studying Jason Voorhees he really would want to
07:50have like the chevron placement in the middle but you can see like there's the
07:53reflection there's a little bit of the water trickling down the front of his
07:56mask now the mask works the same way as it does in the movie it's got these a
08:00little elastic straps here on the back that keep this on to his cowl piece the
08:05cowl like obviously in the movie when we do finally get the reveal of Roy he's
08:08wearing basically like a cowl hood that goes over top to conceal and can kind of
08:12give him the look that he has like of Jason now if I was to take this off
08:15carefully removing this I want to show you guys what Roy's face look looks like
08:20underneath I know originally when I saw Friday the 13th part 5 even when Roy's
08:24face was revealed at the end I still couldn't quite pinpoint who that was I
08:28also thought for a second it was the guy that was actually running the kid the
08:32the teen house but then realizing later it was Roy obviously he does have
08:36himself the cowl piece that goes around the head here he does have real hair
08:40they're rooted in the top but the head sculpt is uncanny spin this around so
08:46you guys can see it from all the sides the attention to detail not only for the
08:49cowl piece for the ears again you got some nice coloring there to the top of
08:52his head and because again like this is the wet version of Roy you can see that
08:56there's a little bit more of the wet wet the rain the rain settling on the top
09:00of the cowl because this is also a cowl piece it's gonna limit a little more of
09:05the articulation generally though you'd be able to rotate the head and kind of
09:08move it around but because it is all like one a one cowl piece you wouldn't
09:12really be able to move it as much so I'm not gonna really budge this guy too much
09:16when you kind of talk about the articulation the character but again
09:18overall nice coveralls they've been weathered and they've been aged they've
09:21been painted really nicely by art macabre really nice work here you got a
09:25little bit of wear and tear there on the back of it a couple little hole marks
09:29there also as well but I think that's some of the things I really like the
09:31most about this is it's got the little ripped away section there on the
09:35shoulder again from the chainsaw and I got the punctured marks there on the
09:38front that he also inflict it gets inflicted by in the movie but just a
09:41again a really nice figure good quality material also that they did for the
09:44coveralls I feel like there is a little bit of padding but I think they probably
09:49end up using a slightly bigger build of body underneath so that's probably one
09:52of the reasons why the imposter feels like he's a little bit bigger than a
09:55normal six scale figure although it's a really nice looking figure for the
09:59articulation on this guy again we're gonna go back to the head sculpt here I
10:02don't want to move this guy too much because again there's very limited
10:05options available when it comes to moving this guy's head simply just
10:08because again it's all encased by all this one single sculpt here but the head
10:12does move up and down just a little bit just a little bit you can also rock it
10:15back and forth obviously I'm gonna be handling this thing literally with I
10:18mean like not really with gloves but also you know you kind of get the idea
10:22I'm gonna be a little bit more careful when it comes to handling this guy his
10:24arm does hinge out one thing I didn't notice though is the the body that they
10:28use and Daniel probably can let me know down below in the comment section seems
10:31to have more ratcheted joints added in there as well just to add the insured
10:35down the road that of course the joints aren't gonna get develop looseness you
10:38can feel like even if I stop talking for a second you can almost even hear like
10:42there's ratcheted joints there in his elbows so it seems like he has no
10:46swiveling there in his bicep he does certainly though have swiveling in his
10:49arm he does have ratcheted joints there as well hands of course rotate all the
10:53way around as bloody as they may be the upper torso does look like it's got a
10:57bit of a ball joint there as well legs split out you can bring them forward and
11:00back there's a swivel there at the top of the thigh a double hinge it seems in
11:04the knees and again he's got the articulation which again I'm just gonna
11:07bring back up the legs so you guys can see how much work went even just into
11:11the boots now the boots are fairly screen accurate I feel also too when it
11:14came to the mask the mask they revised this about three different times until
11:18it met finally the film standards of really what Daniel wanted this to look
11:21like so again like the attention to detail this guy's gone back a couple of
11:24times researched the property that he was basing the figure from you can
11:28definitely see like that's a very screen accurate mask again like we're just
11:32gonna go ahead and slide this back over top of the imposter's head and we're
11:36getting back onto the display stand here not only was I thrilled the fact that
11:40Daniel gave me the chance to have a look at this guy but also to like he provided
11:43as well the original prototype figure now I did also want to just lift the
11:47mask up even though this isn't really what the final run figure would have
11:49looked like just even like the prototype alone maybe doesn't have as much paint
11:53on it obviously doesn't have the wetness marks left behind by the rain but even
11:57just like the prototype you can kind of see like Daniel already had an idea in
12:00mind of what exactly he wanted this figure to look like now of course we'll
12:03go ahead and get this guy back onto his display stand the sad thing about this
12:06is that if you guys didn't missed your chance to get your hands on the original
12:10the imposter like I said it was limited to a run of 10 so with the 10 now being
12:15sold out and collectors I think now all getting their hands on him the likelihood
12:19I don't think they're probably gonna be releasing or remaking the imposter again
12:23so it's always really kind of good to follow Daniel Terzo and of course
12:26Canela over on the socials Facebook would probably be your best option
12:29Instagram will also be a good outlet to to reach out to Daniel if you want a
12:32project done by him but I would also really always say this to the other two
12:36figures that we worry how to look at by Daniel and Canela also to like those
12:40figures are always limited runs and by the time I have the chance to have a
12:43look at these that run is always usually sold out they're always sold out so like
12:47if you guys wanted to follow them in advance you kind of get an idea of what
12:51Daniel's currently working on hey why not if you guys are also interested to
12:54kind of get in on one of those projects before they sell it's always best idea
12:57to follow him over on Facebook great-looking figure though I mean for
13:01me being like a Friday 13th part 5 fan I know lately I've kind of jumped over to
13:05Friday 6th of being my favorite of the franchise but for a while for a while it
13:09was new beginning and I would say like he's done not only a service to Roy
13:12he's also done a service also the collectors out there that really wanted
13:15to get a screen accurate look to Roy I think really the imposter mama's boys
13:19the closest thing you're gonna get to having him look like he does in the
13:22movie so now we're gonna move over to the rotisserie and now it's sad news to
13:25say it's also gonna be the last chance we're gonna have a look at the imposter
13:28mama's boy before I get the figure carefully packed and shipped back over
13:31to Daniel Daniel Terzo and of course Tonella have collaborated over several
13:36amazing custom horror six scale figures I've hope you guys have had the chance
13:39to follow their exploits over on their socials if you haven't definitely follow
13:43them now we've only had the chance to have a look at three of them here on
13:46this channel but perhaps my love for Friday 5 being so high I would say it's
13:49my favorite that they've done so far Daniel said from start to finish it took
13:53this figure about four to six months for its creation in fact he was such a
13:57stickler for detail he went back and revised the mask three times before he
14:01was happy with the results that he had and it definitely shows not only does
14:04the mask look screen accurate right down to little drops of blue paint that he
14:07has on the top and the bottom of the mask but the fact that he would also go
14:10in there and add little beads of water not only on the cowl but on the mask as
14:14well so it looks the way that the imposter looks near the end of the movie
14:17of course the weathering has been also added to Tonella's tailor ship that
14:21she's done here for the coveralls they've added the gashes they've added
14:24the wounds all the things that the imposter inflicts throughout the movie
14:27and it again like the work is definitely I can only hope I can only
14:30hope that with this video it has done proper justice to show you guys just so
14:35much how much effort with two talented people go into creating a figure this
14:38good now of course when it comes to also Tonella's husband David contributing
14:43creating the cleaver creating that the machete creating the shears from real
14:47metal and wood for though wrapping up the review I don't really have any of
14:51those accessories displayed in the imposter's hands decided to shed some
14:55light on the situation at the end of this I wanted to add at least the road
14:58flare which is again one of the cool accessories that come included with this
15:00the thing about this though is once again it was a limited run only ten of
15:04these were produced I again have to send this one back over to Daniel but if you
15:08had the chance let me know down below in the comment section if you got in on
15:11this run when it was available I would always really say and I mentioned this
15:14in this review as well follow them what they're doing over on Facebook and in
15:18Instagram Daniel also makes the rounds on various Facebook horror groups you
15:22can always really see what he's up to at the moment and if you had the chance
15:25maybe you'll be lucky enough to get in on the runs before they sell out big
15:29thank you again to Tonella big thank you again to Daniel Terzo for allowing me
15:32the chance to have a look at the imposter mama's boy when you guys think
15:36of the figure let me know down below in the comment section and have you also
15:38been lucky enough to buy one of the works from Daniel if you have let me
15:42know which figure it was down below in the comments if you guys did enjoy this
15:45video do it a solid throw it a like you guys want stick around for more so I
15:48hope so hit the subscribe turn on that Bell and of course come back as always
15:52thanks for watching see you guys next time
