A seven-year-old boy lost his life after being crushed by heavy debris from a concrete decorative slab that fell off a three-storey shophouse at Kompleks Al-Azim in Bukit Baru, Melaka on Tuesday (Oct 22).

00:27Police identified the deceased as Ong Loon Keat from Bukit Pulau.
00:31Ong and his brother had accompanied their father on a motorcycle to a nearby bank before
00:36the incident occurred.
00:38Six motorcycles parked outside the building were also damaged.
00:42The victims were taken to hospital by passers-by.
00:45ACP Christopher said the post-mortem report revealed that the deceased succumbed to multiple
00:51injuries suffered from the impact of the falling debris.
00:55The case has been classified as sudden death.
