00:00They caught one of the fugitives arrested in a subdivision in Muntinlupa in the act of scamming.

00:05The scammers were lured to the next house of the neighbors.

00:15The authorities lured two fugitives in a gated subdivision in Muntinlupa.

00:20It was a hideout run by eight foreign nationals in Pogo, according to the Department of Justice.

00:26In one of the houses, three Chinese were arrested by DOJ, Bureau of Immigration and National Bureau of Investigation.

00:33Gadgets used in digital scams were also confiscated.

00:36This is one of the rooms here and a foreign national was caught in the act of scamming using these devices.

00:45Foreign nationals engaged in illegal activity feel safer in gated subdivisions because security is tight.

00:55It's more clandestine, it's more hidden.

00:58But because we have concerned citizens, we have neighbors that are vigilant, then there's really no safe place for them anymore.

01:10One of the suspects in the Pogo Hub in Porak, Pampanga, is still being investigated.

01:15One of the suspects is a defense attorney with the help of an NBI interpreter.

01:18He's just a businessman who plans to open a restaurant.

01:22I plan to go back to China next month.

01:25I haven't seen any good business.

01:28In another house, four Chinese and one Vietnamese were arrested.

01:32They did not give a statement regarding the arrest.

01:35Authorities ordered the suspects to help some concerned citizens in the community.

01:40According to the DOJ, this is an indication that the world is shrinking with scam hubs in the Philippines.

01:45While they're still here, they still have at least a few operations.

01:49So this is what we see in subdivisions, small houses.

01:56But in our opinion, this is all part of their interpretation of winding down.

02:01The suspects are under NBI custody and the Bureau of Immigration is processing their travel documents.
