Jerry Jones brought up the Derrick Henry storyline in his Shan & RJ interview this morning, a day after Troy Aikman took shots at the team for not trying to sign the NFL's rushing leader. This story isn't going to die any time soon, but was it the Cowboys' running back philosophy the reason he's not in Dallas? GBag discusses the neverending Derrick Henry drama in the video above.

00:00I have a question for you and this kind of came from the Jerry Jones talk this morning
00:21with Sean and RJ and that crew and but also what Lucius played too from Joe Buck and what
00:28he was talking about with Derrick Henry and it's kind of a two-parter and first off I
00:34would say did NFL teams because of philosophy of running backs or the way that running backs
00:44are treated did they miss on Derrick Henry and some of these other backs that we've seen
00:53that have had success with other teams is it is it a philosophy would you put it this way would
00:58you feel better if Jerry Jones came out and said we miss evaluated Derrick Henry because of
01:05philosophy that we didn't want to we didn't feel like he could still play now they would be wrong
01:11you know but do you feel like they were the only team that was wrong about Derrick Henry no I think
01:18a lot of teams are were wrong but it was it because of philosophy yeah that yeah hey we're
01:24not going to pay a guy eight million dollars a year because our philosophy tells us we're not
01:32we shouldn't we shouldn't as a salary cap team on history with his age yeah most running backs
01:40aren't very successful at that age so I think Jerry would would be right in saying most teams
01:44would not be able to do for Derrick Henry what the Ravens have you have a quarterback like that
01:49weapons like that a line like that six yards in attempt for us it might be in the low force you
01:54know we can't create that kind of an opportunity for him and at his age the odds of him having
01:58another big year are so low it's just a low probability so I definitely think philosophy
02:05is the right word yeah and it's hard to strike that right balance to get it absolutely perfect
