00:00We all know NASCAR fans are passionate about racing, but they're also passionate about
00:05giving back to their community, our NASCAR community.
00:09Each year, the NASCAR Foundation celebrates four passionate NASCAR fans who are true champions
00:14for children, serving as dedicated volunteers for children's causes important to them.
00:20These fans are celebrated as finalists for the Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award created
00:25in honor of the NASCAR Foundation's founder, the late Betty Jane France.
00:30This year's four finalists are Tammy Rollerson, volunteer for the Periwinkle Foundation from
00:36College Station, Texas.
00:38Being a parent is hard, but being a parent with a child with cancer or chronic illnesses,
00:43anything like that, is just that much harder.
00:45Being with Periwinkle, it's a support group that is just like no other.
00:50Judy Simmons, volunteer for God's Pit Crew from Axton, Virginia.
00:55I couldn't have kids, so kids are so special to me.
00:59If I can make one person smile today, I've done my job, and it makes my heart happy.
01:06Carlos Washington, volunteer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Petey area from Florence,
01:11South Carolina.
01:12I love people.
01:13I love children.
01:14I do it to meet somebody's purpose, to help.
01:21And Julie Wooldridge, co-founder of Hope of Mooresville from Mooresville, North Carolina.
01:27I think that some people feel very alone in the world when they don't have a place to
01:31live, and maybe they've wore out welcomes at different places, but they don't wear their
01:36welcome out here.
01:38We're happy they're here.
01:39All four have done tremendous work, and we're proud to have them as finalists for the Betty
01:44Jane France Humanitarian Award.
01:46But only one can take home a $100,000 donation from the NASCAR Foundation to further their
01:52efforts to help children.
