00:00You could say there's a quarterback controversy in B.C., I would say that there is a quarterback
00:10switch in B.C.
00:12There is no way around it.
00:14Vernon Adams needs to be the quarterback for the B.C. Lions when they head either to Saskatchewan
00:19or Winnipeg for the West Semi-Final in two weeks time.
00:24Vernon Adams, I don't care who it was against, comes out and balls out and I think just absolutely
00:32takes this by the reins and is like, you know what?
00:34This is my team now, I gots this.
00:37He came out with a tremendous performance and it was an immediate reminder of how good
00:44this guy was at the beginning part of the season.
00:46And for Nathan Rorick, I don't doubt at all that, like, I don't think that this is a space
00:51jam thing and he's just lost his powers and he just sucks at football now.
00:56I don't think that's the case.
00:57I think he just hasn't played football in two years and has come into an offense that
01:03is a little bit similar, but with receivers that are different, against teams that are
01:08different and playing him differently, and he is trying to catch up and it's just not
01:12there.
01:13Well, Vernon Adams knows this offense, knows these receivers, knows, has the timing down
01:17with everybody, and is still remarkably talented.
01:21So I just, I don't think there is an option.
01:23Look, I am a Ryder fan.
01:25And I kind of accept that the Ryders are going to be the two-seed, sorry, in the West.
01:30It'd be great if Winnipeg lost and Saskatchewan beat Calgary, but I have a pretty good understanding
01:36that I think it's going to be the Ryders who are going to be facing BC in the West semifinal
01:41and I am BEGGING them to bring Nathan Rorick in instead.
01:45I am BEGGING you to have Rorick be the guy to come in and try to lead this team to victory
01:51against Saskatchewan at Mosaic in the West semifinal.
01:56That would make my day if that was going to be the case because Vernon Adams is just so
02:04clearly the right option for BC here.
02:09On other CFL-related notes, we'll just have one quick one here before we bounce on to
02:14some other subjects.
02:15Just an embarrassing performance by the Calgary Stampeders.
02:18It is very showing when all you have left to play for is pride and that's what you put
02:22out there.
02:23But Levi Mitchell just picked this team apart and it is, again, a remarkably flawed football
02:28team with minimal answers across the field.
02:32They don't have a clue what is going on and major changes are needed now in Calgary.
02:39I still think Dave Dickinson's a good coach.
02:41I just think the roster construction isn't good.
02:45There.
02:46Hot take.
02:47They need a lot of help.
02:48They need a lot of talent and they need, I think, a real shift in how this is going because
02:53this was one of the more embarrassing seasons this Calgary team has had.
02:57Definitely the most embarrassing season this Calgary team has had since I've moved here
03:01and really bad going back to like the 2000s, like 20 years now.
03:05So that's the story from the Canadian Football League.
03:07We'll have more CFL coming up tomorrow with the power rankings.
