00:00Once upon a time, in a sunny, green forest, where tall trees reached up to the sky and sunlight peeked through the leaves,
00:17animals of all kinds played among colorful flowers, birds sang cheerful songs, and butterflies flew around the flowers.
00:31It was a lively place where a young peacock named Penelope lived.
00:39Penelope had the brightest and most colorful feathers in the whole forest.
00:47When she spread her long tail, it looked like it was made of tiny jewels.
00:55It sparkled with colors like blue, green, and gold.
01:03Her eyes were big and bright. She moved so gently, like she was dancing with each step.
01:13All the other animals admired Penelope's feathers and often told her how beautiful she looked.
01:25One beautiful, sunny day, a little mouse looked up at Penelope and said,
01:34Wow, Penelope, your feathers are like a rainbow. They're so pretty.
01:42A raccoon walked over and said,
01:47I wish I had colors like you. You look so special.
01:54Even a small turtle peeked out from his shell and said shyly,
02:01Your feathers sparkle like stars, Penelope. You must be the most beautiful bird in the whole forest.
02:12But even though Penelope had such beautiful feathers, she was not happy.
02:20Penelope didn't want to look like a peacock.
02:26She wanted to look like the beautiful white swans that swam smoothly in the nearby lake.
02:36Every day, Penelope would watch the swans from the shore and sigh deeply.
02:46When Penelope saw the white swan swimming quietly on the water, she felt a little sad inside.
02:57The swan looked so calm and pretty with its smooth white feathers and long necks.
03:06Penelope looked at her own bright colors and thought,
03:12Why do I have to be so colorful? I wish I looked simple and gentle like that swan.
03:26On another lovely morning, Penelope woke up and decided that she had had enough of being a peacock.
03:39She was going to become a swan no matter what.
03:45So Penelope started by pulling out some of her beautiful tail feathers,
03:54hoping that if she got rid of her colorful feathers, she would look more like a swan.
04:04But it didn't work.
04:08Without her feathers, Penelope looked sad and a little messy.
04:16Next, Penelope walked into the lake to swim like the swans.
04:24She puffed out her chest, held her neck high, and tried to float across the water.
04:35But peacocks aren't built for swimming.
04:40And Penelope started splashing around in the water and got herself all wet.
04:52The swans watched her with wide eyes, wondering what she was doing, but they didn't laugh.
05:02Instead, one of the swans, named Serena, swam up to her and said gently,
05:12Penelope, why are you trying to swim like us?
05:18Penelope looked down and said,
05:22I want to be a swan. You all look so pretty and smooth.
05:28My feathers are too bright and loud.
05:32I want to be calm and beautiful like you.
05:38Serena looked at Penelope and said,
05:43But Penelope, your feathers are what make you special.
05:50We all look different in our own way.
05:54You have colors that we swans don't have.
05:59And that makes you very beautiful.
06:04Penelope wasn't sure she could believe Serena.
06:11So the next day, she decided to cover herself in mud to hide her bright colors.
06:21She thought if her feathers were dull and plain, she might look more like a swan.
06:31But when she saw her reflection in the lake, she looked messy and not like herself at all.
06:42Feeling sad, Penelope walked deeper into the forest until she found a quiet place to sit.
06:56An old wise owl who had been watching her flew down and sat on a branch close by.
07:06Why are you so sad, Penelope? The owl asked gently.
07:13Penelope sighed, I've tried everything to look like the swans, but nothing works.
07:22I just want to be beautiful and move as nicely as they do.
07:29The owl nodded wisely and asked,
07:34Why do you want to be like the swans when you are already so beautiful as a peacock?
07:44Because I don't feel pretty. I feel like I don't fit in, Penelope said softly.
07:56The owl spread its wings and pointed at the flowers around them.
08:04Look at all these flowers, Penelope. Do you see how different they are?
08:13The roses, the daisies, and the lilies, they all have their own colors, shapes, and scents.
08:25If all the flowers looked the same, the garden would be very boring, wouldn't it?
08:35Penelope looked around and saw how lovely each flower was.
08:43The roses were bright red, the daisies were sunny yellow, and the lilies were pure white.
08:53Each one stood out in its own way.
08:59You see, Penelope, the owl said, you are like a beautiful flower in this forest.
09:09Your feathers are bright and colorful, and that makes you different.
09:18You don't have to look like the swans because you are special just the way you are.
09:29Penelope thought about the owl's words all night.
09:36The next morning, she went back to the lake.
09:42This time, instead of trying to look like a swan, she spread her colorful feathers wide.
09:53The sun shone on them, making them sparkle and shine.
10:00The animals around the lake gasped in surprise.
10:06Look at Penelope, they shouted.
10:11She's so beautiful.
10:14Even the swans turned to look at Penelope's bright feathers.
10:22Serena swam up to her and smiled.
10:28I'm so glad you decided to show off your true self, Penelope.
10:36Your colors are so bright and happy.
10:41They bring joy to everyone around you.
10:46Penelope felt a warm glow inside.
10:52For the first time, she felt happy about her colorful feathers.
11:00She understood that the owl was right.
11:05Her beauty didn't have to look like anyone else's.
11:11She could be different and still be beautiful.
11:19Since that day, Penelope stopped trying to become a swan.
11:26She danced around the forest, spreading her feathers wide and sharing her colors with everyone.
11:37The animals loved her for who she was, and Penelope felt happier than she ever had before.
11:49And when she looked at the swans, she didn't feel upset anymore.
11:58Instead, she liked how beautiful they were, just like they liked her colors.
12:08Penelope finally understood that everyone is special in their own way.
12:19The forest seemed brighter, and Penelope's heart felt lighter.
12:26She knew now that it was okay to be different, and that real beauty came from loving who you are.
12:38And so, Penelope the peacock lived happily ever after, being herself, bright, colorful, and proud.
12:56Thank you for watching!
