00:00Baka puso, a week ago, the Metro Manila Development Authority started clearing operations to ensure that the roads leading to the big cemeteries here in Metro Manila are wide and well-paved.
00:17One of them is the one that we are building, the Ibonifacio Canteen of C3, to clear the MMDAs of the past few days where several vehicles were stolen due to illegal parking.
00:29And until the day of the investigation, we need to make sure that the vehicles are being cleared and the clearing operations of the MMDAs are being carried out.
00:39We will talk to Atty. Victor Nunez of the Traffic Enforcement Group of the MMDA.
00:45Atty. Nunez, good morning to you.
00:47Good morning sir Ivan and good morning to all of your listeners.
00:53Atty. Vic, happy to report that as of now, we have not seen any obstruction in our Ibonifacio Canteen.
01:05But between now and the next few days, how can we make sure that these roads will remain clear?
01:13Yes sir Ivan. Actually yesterday, our special operations group started clearing.
01:20They started it in that area, in the Minor Cemetery and the China Cemetery, where they found 15 vehicles that were illegally parked.
01:35There were total apprehensions of 100 vehicles that were found.
01:41Our clearing started in Ibonifacio, Aurora Boulevard, Rizal Avenue in Manila and Parting, Caloocan.
01:53It was also included in St. John Memorial Park in San Juan, in Col. Bonicerano.
02:02Yesterday, our special operations group cleared that area morning and afternoon.
02:08That's why we found a lot of vehicles. Fifteen vehicles were impounded.
02:15So this is not only... well, our priority is the roads to the cemeteries, but this is Metro Manila-wide.
02:28As long as there's an obstruction, we will remove it.
02:32Yes sir Ivan. Actually, we will also focus on the major terminals in Pasay, Manila, Lacubau, Caloocan and also in PITS.
02:47That's also included in our program that we will clear starting this Sunday.
02:52We will also clear the major thoroughfares and roads towards the major public cemeteries.
03:03Right. That's right. Aside from the cemeteries, we are also expecting an exodus of our countrymen towards the provinces for the UNDAS.
03:16Meanwhile, Atty. Nunez, are we going to close roads as a preparation for the UNDAS?
03:24Yes. After the so-called meeting with all the traffic heads of the local government units last week,
03:30our good chairman, Chairman Don Arces, noticed that the LGUs of their traffic management plan will close.
03:39If there are road closures, it will be notified to MMJ so we can post it on our social media and give traffic advisory to our countrymen,
03:54especially for the upcoming UNDAS. We gave a deadline, October 25, for our LGUs to submit. If there are road closures, they will be notified to their respective cemeteries.
04:10Atty. Nunez, we will give you a chance to talk to our countrymen, especially those who are blocking their vehicles on the wrong roads.
04:20The toll is also high and there's a lot of traffic. You should tell them so that they will not be affected by your clearing operations. Go ahead sir.
04:33Thank you sir Ivan. We will continue to talk to our countrymen, especially those who are near big public cemeteries and major terminals,
04:48especially for the upcoming UNDAS. We started our clearing operations since yesterday.
04:56I hope they will park their vehicles in the right parking areas and avoid leaving their vehicles on the road
05:06because our operations are ongoing under the leadership of our special operations group. I hope they will learn and be disciplined in parking their vehicles.
05:26Atty. Vic Nunez of MMDA Traffic Enforcement Group. Thank you very much. Good morning to you.
05:32Thank you very much.
05:36Thank you very much.
06:06Thank you very much.
06:36Thank you very much.
