00:10We have an Apple video today because I finally got my hands on the new iPad Pro 11-inch M1.
00:17In this video, we're going to be looking at this iPad for the very first time,
00:20setting it up with some accessories, and well,
00:22this thing needs no introduction, so let's get right to it.

00:27We're not only unboxing the new iPad Pro, I'm also going to be setting it up with new accessories,
00:33but let's get to the iPad first.
00:35Apple unboxings are pretty straightforward.
00:37You have this very minimalistic box.
00:40At the back of this, it tells me that I have the 256GB version.
00:44This is the iPad Pro 11-inch 3rd generation Wi-Fi, so this is one that's powered with M1 chip.

00:54There we go.
00:55So we have the iPad.
00:57Let's see what's in the box first.
00:58Okay, admittedly, this has been opened because we checked it out at the store.
01:02But yeah, we're still going through the whole experience of seeing everything for the first time.
01:07Some Apple stickers, paperwork, and then we have a power brick and a power cord.
01:14That's basically it.
01:16So this feels really thin and sleek.
01:20I mean, I also gotta be honest, the last time I touched or used an iPad, I was in law school,
01:25so that was a while back and also a long story and a different part of my life.
01:29And yet, iPads didn't feel this sleek then or at least not like I remember it.
01:35We have a camera module up there.
01:37Pretty sleek.
01:38As you can see, volume buttons, unlock buttons, speakers at the top,
01:42and then at the bottom, you have the port.
01:46Anyway, powered it up and let's set it up.

02:07Okay, so a few things that we got for this iPad.
02:10We have a paper-like screen.
02:13So this says it's for creators and doers.
02:15And you know, I do.
02:17Isa does.
02:19But yeah, the whole selling point for this thing is that aside from this protecting your screen,
02:23it should feel like real paper.
02:25So we'll see about that.
02:26So I installed this all by myself and it started with me watching a tutorial on how to do it.
02:31Now, there are two packs of paper-like in this packet.
02:35I was pretty scared of doing everything at first because I was scared of screwing it up.
02:41But yeah, it was pretty straightforward and simple.
02:45I think I managed to do this perfectly.
02:47There are no bubbles and it just looks so good.
02:52And next up, I have this case from STM.
02:55It's supposed to protect the iPad.
02:57And it has a cute little stand right there.
02:59And there's supposed to be a spot for your Apple Pencil,
03:02which I don't have, but there is a spot.

03:10Texture's really nice on this.
03:12And then we sort of have that see-through back.
03:14And look, those are magnetic.
03:17Nice discreet STM branding on there.
03:24Ooh, looks good.
03:26And then it's also a nice little stand.
03:38So this isn't a full review of the iPad Pro because to do that,
03:41I'd need more time with this thing.
03:43But here are my initial thoughts on this device.
03:46First off, it's very light.
03:48It's very portable.
03:49It's such a sleek machine.
03:51That screen looks good even if it's not the upgraded screen
03:55like on the 12.9 version.
03:57Stuff legit looks good on this.
03:59And your shows don't only look good, they sound good.
04:02The thing about the iPad is that it's a very powerful device
04:06with some comparing it to actual laptops.
04:08But take note that this still isn't a device that can do pro apps.
04:12Big example, you can't do Final Cut on here,
04:15though you can do iMovie, which should be enough for simple edits.
04:19There are two cameras on the back,
04:21and it can do a lot of things.
04:22For example, you can do a lot of things on the front.

04:31and it can do from wide up until 5x zoom.
04:34And up front, we now get a wide angle.
04:38While I still believe that shooting with your iPad camera is awkward AF,
04:43today's work from home life means that those cameras are especially useful for calls.
04:48Right, let's do a quick call test.
04:52This is technically how calls will look and or sound with the iPad.
04:57And we're doing this via our Wi-Fi connection,
05:00so we have a good connection.

05:16Yeah, enough of this.
05:19The coolest new addition would be center stage.
05:21This makes use of the front-facing wide and AI
05:24to make sure that the camera follows you around on the call.
05:27So it crops in and widens when it detects people in the scene accordingly.
05:31Not the first time I've seen the feature on a device,
05:33but it's definitely very responsive on the iPad.
05:36I am impressed.
05:37One thing I'm definitely more excited for on this iPad
05:41would be the newest OS that's set to come out soon.
05:45So let's all stay tuned for that.
