00:00Now, we always say that football is a game of inches, right? But as for today, I saw a number
00:05of games that was, well, a game of field goals, or one field goal in particular. You got the
00:09Detroit Lions versus Minnesota Vikings, and a number of people thought, all right, the Lions,
00:14this is their opportunity to solidify a big NFC North victory, and also probably a larger
00:19conversation with potential Super Bowl contention. They pull this one off 31-29.
00:25Jared Goff, 280 passing yards, two touchdowns. Darnold, 259 passing yards, one touchdown,
00:31one interception. Gibbs, as expected, with a big ground game. Brown, through the air,
00:35with 112 receiving yards through eight receptions and one touchdown. What did you make of this one?
00:39We'll probably continue this conversation on the other side of the break.
00:44Goff should be the favorite for the MVP. It is astounding to me that Mahomes is still the
00:49favorite. Mahomes does not look good. They're winning games. They're undefeated. We all know
00:54that. Mahomes does not look good as a quarterback from a stats perspective,
00:59and that's what wins MVPs. I think Goff should be the favorite right now to win MVP.
01:03He looks awesome. Super slow start to the game for them. They come out firing. Montgomery did
01:08get hurt. Helped off the field by two trainers. He comes back in. Like you said, Gibbs, awesome
01:12on the ground. Amon Rossaint-Brown, one of my favorite players in the league. Great game from
01:17him. Touchdown, over 100 yards, everything we want to see. The Lions, and what we spoke about
01:23last, doing the preview for this game. I think it was on Thursday when we did the preview. We
01:27talked about the pressure, getting pressure on Sam Darnall. They said it on the broadcast. I think
01:31it was Greg said it. They said, oh, Darnall, constantly clean, constantly clean. There's no
01:36pressure on him. That is a point the Lions need to address with Aiden Hutchinson down. So it's
01:41good that the Lions won, but they have some things to fix on defense, which is clearly their weak
01:46point. Their offense, they can move the ball. They can put up yards and points anytime they want.
01:49The defense is what needs to be fixed. The Vikings on the other side, like them on Thursday
01:54night in a bounce back spot, going up against the Rams. The Rams will be getting Cooper Cutback. We
01:59can touch on that, but I do like, I think the Vikings will be fine in the longterm. This is
02:03just a minor blip in the radar for them. Yeah. Sometimes it's always a due time for a Titan to
02:09fall. I mean, some people said that the rest was probably too much rest for them because
02:12when you're riding a momentous high, that momentum gets you a lot of W's.
