00:00:00On the 16th of November 2023, a bombshell was dropped on the entertainment industry.
00:00:04Singer Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit under the New York Adult Survivors Act against Sean
00:00:09P. Diddy Combs, her ex-spouse. The lawsuit included multiple accusations against Diddy
00:00:14of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and even worse. Reports of these allegations began
00:00:18making headlines internationally and caused a wildfire online, and throughout November,
00:00:22it only got worse. What followed was a slew of other horrendous allegations and lawsuits,
00:00:27all against P. Diddy. And in the midst of all of these lawsuits, Diddy had become public enemy
00:00:31number one. To this day, Diddy is still being publicly shamed and has essentially become a
00:00:35meme, giving birth to the hilarious nickname, The Diddler. And birthing the newest slang for
00:00:39when you do something sus in hip-hop, No Diddy. While for some, Diddy's become hip-hop's number
00:00:43one villain, but over the years, he's made so many enemies and ultimately, many people were simply
00:00:47delighted to hear of the news of his downfall. One of these people is known to be a hip-hop villain
00:00:52for perhaps less dark reasons. That person is 50 Cent, one of hip-hop's biggest trolls.
00:00:56He took Diddy's downfall as primetime to dish out all of his impending hate against his long-time
00:01:01music industry nemesis. Even months before the allegations came to light, 50 would often take
00:01:05to Instagram to throw jabs at the Diddler, such as posting the infamous Lil Baby picture from
00:01:10Michael Rubin's annual White Party, where 50 Cent vowed to never attend a party where Diddy
00:01:14is attending. But after November 2023, following the raids at several of Diddy's homes, 50 showed
00:01:19no mercy online and turned his aim much more specifically towards Diddy. Like in this post,
00:01:23showing a scene from American Gangster, with a caption saying,
00:01:26when them boys show up at Puffy Crib again, he gon' be like, let me tell you about all them
00:01:29people on them tapes, lol. Now before I get any further into the story of Diddy vs 50,
00:01:36I just want to leave a quick disclaimer, okay? This story will have some pretty dark themes as
00:01:41part of it, mainly relating to some of the twisted things that Diddy's been up to,
00:01:45but this video has been censored in order to comply with all of YouTube's community guidelines.
00:01:50So no swearing's gonna appear in this video, no violence, there's not really anything violent
00:01:54in this video, but I'm just letting you know that there are gonna be some pretty heavy themes going
00:01:59on throughout this video, but the video has been censored, and if you want to see an uncut version
00:02:03of this video, with all the swearing and other things that I just didn't want to put in this
00:02:07version of the video, and I do this for all of my videos, head on over to Patreon.com
00:02:11slash Traploross, and you can go and watch it there, just for two bucks, thanks.
00:02:1550 would even share clips of Diddy's neighbors making heinous claims of multiple buses filled
00:02:19with minors regularly entering his residence, or even 50 essentially calling Diddy the new R.
00:02:24Kelly whilst teasing a full, high-budget documentary that he was producing all about
00:02:28Diddy's allegations, similar to Surviving R. Kelly. 50's been trolling Diddy to such an extent
00:02:32that it's made its own headlines on prominent news outlets like CNN, but this isn't just 50
00:02:37trying to hijack a popular news story of the times, the truth is, Diddy and 50 have a deep
00:02:41and dark history spanning decades, going all the way back to a time when they were friends,
00:02:46coming up in New York's cutthroat hip-hop scene, eventually teaming up against shared
00:02:49ops, in the end becoming frenemies, and finally full-blown enemies, with 50 Cent in 2024
00:02:54ultimately becoming P. Diddy's worst nightmare. So today, let's look into the history of this
00:02:59beef that goes back decades, and uncover why 50 Cent hates Diddy so much that he waited 20 years
00:03:04for this downfall.
00:03:34Protégé Biggie Smalls, the notorious B.I.G.
00:04:0450 Cent
00:04:34What went wrong with that deal?
00:04:36You know why it didn't go through. Diddy didn't let it go through.
00:04:39Y'all heard about the world famous party. Many have asked, but few have chosen.
00:04:44When everybody's surrounded, it's him.
00:04:46Yeah, yeah, definitely. I was looking, I was looking for you. I told you,
00:04:48get your hand out of my pocket, man. Get your hand out of my pocket. I see what you're doing.
00:04:53I see what you're doing on the channel. Get your hand out of my pocket, man.
00:04:56Okay, I'll tell you right now, when I want to work for Diddy, I'm going to physically put my hands
00:05:01on somebody for the Reyes, because he's not going to outdo me.
00:05:06Ciroc Vodka is entering into a ground-breaking strategic alliance with Sean Conant.
00:05:12Would you rather drink potatoes or grapes? I'm a king. Kings drink grapes. Peasants drink potatoes.
00:05:17I make the clothes that you would get dressed in, the fragrance you would put on,
00:05:21listen to the music that I produce, to buy the vodka that was in the club.
00:05:25Some people might think that's a form of megalomania.
00:05:27Oh, I don't know. It could be.
00:05:28Sometime I like, huh?
00:05:29Sometime you like him, sometime you don't, yeah?
00:05:31No, no, no. 50 Cent sent a case of effing up here for Diddy. Now, be clear, Diddy did send
00:05:3650 a whole lifetime supply of Ciroc for his birthday as well, so you guys have a
00:05:41hopefully friendly back and forth. Yeah, I don't know.
00:05:43He's drinking his Puffy juice, man. Get out of here, man.
00:05:46Hopefully he appreciates me opening up the doors for him continuously.
00:05:50This is how I feel about you, boy.
00:05:54I told you, you can't crush this. Puffy don't feel too fine, man.
00:05:57He said you did the same thing to him. You asked him to take him shopping.
00:06:01Yeah, I thought he needed some clothes.
00:06:0450 Cent has thrown a few insults your way recently.
00:06:08Have you talked to him about this, and why do you think he's throwing insults at you?
00:06:12I mean, you know, I mean, oh, some insecurities.
00:06:15That's why I'll be going to the Puffy party.
00:06:20Later, you will find out a little shit that I'll be saying to you, man.
00:06:23You know what I'm saying, man? Listen, I'm trying to tell you the truth,
00:06:29but the truth, sometimes it hurts.
00:06:36Before we go any further, guys, I just want to ask a quick favor of you, okay?
00:06:40As you know, I make very long, very detailed videos, and I'll be honest with you.
00:06:45Recently, we've been having a bit of a problem with reviewing the videos.
00:06:48It takes hours to review the videos and look for mistakes.
00:06:51There's been times when I've sat there and watched a video for four or five hours
00:06:55and found one tiny mistake, and my entire day has been wasted, okay?
00:06:58It's very difficult. I think when I made the six-hour young boy video,
00:07:01I think that was the record. I think I watched that video 27 times.
00:07:04It drove me a little bit crazy. It drove me young boy crazy.
00:07:06I think that's why young boy is my favorite rapper now,
00:07:08which I know people don't like to hear.
00:07:10But anyway, going forward, we're looking for people from the audience,
00:07:13you, okay? Trap Lord disciples.
00:07:16We're looking for you guys to help us review the videos,
00:07:18help us make sure that there's no mistakes or problems in the videos,
00:07:21and I'm literally going to pay you guys.
00:07:23I'm going to pay you, one of you lucky souls or a few of you, to watch my videos.
00:07:27So in this video, okay, I've hidden five little mistakes, okay?
00:07:32I'm not going to tell you what they are. I'm not going to tell you where they are, okay?
00:07:34But in this video, there are five little minor mistakes
00:07:37that shouldn't really have been there.
00:07:38They're below the standards of the Trap Lord channel, okay?
00:07:41So what I want you guys to do is watch this video,
00:07:44and if you can spot those five exact mistakes
00:07:46and tell me the exact time codes where those took place, let me know.
00:07:50Hit the link in description, right, on intelcartel.org.
00:07:53Tell me where those mistakes were. Go on that website.
00:07:55Tell me the exact time codes where those mistakes were,
00:07:57and if you correctly spot all five of the mistakes in this video, okay,
00:08:01I might just give you some money, okay?
00:08:04And on an ongoing basis, I'm trying to build up a whole bunch of people,
00:08:07a whole pool of people who I can call upon and pay straight cash money
00:08:11to watch and review my videos to help me find all the mistakes
00:08:14so they're a tip-top, no problems with these videos.
00:08:16So if you're interested, hit that link in description.
00:08:19Let me know if you spotted the five mistakes in this video,
00:08:21and let's get it back to the video.
00:08:26To understand the origins of this beef,
00:08:28it's important to first look at the pair's come up in the industry
00:08:31and where exactly they initially begun clashing heads.
00:08:33Sean Combs was born in 1969,
00:08:35and he was raised in the grimy streets of Harlem, New York in the 1970s,
00:08:38as he would explain to DJ Vlad in a throwback interview.
00:08:41I'm a Harlem boy. No disrespect to anybody.
00:08:44That's where my mama's from. That's where my father's from.
00:08:47That's where my father died at. That's where I was born.
00:08:50That's what I represent. That's my swag. That's my tenacity.
00:08:54I just love being from there. That's where my soul comes from.
00:08:58That hustler mentality has a lot to do with why I am.
00:09:03After the loss of his father Melvin at the age of two,
00:09:05Sean and his family moved into the suburbs of Mount Vernon.
00:09:08Mount Vernon is a city in Westchester County, New York in the United States.
00:09:11It's an inner suburb of New York City,
00:09:13immediately to the north of the borough of the Bronx,
00:09:15and Sean credited Mount Vernon for broadening his horizons
00:09:18and introducing him to new cultures and opportunities.
00:09:20In comparison to Harlem, it was a completely different world.
00:09:23Sean attended an all-boys private Montessori school, Mount St. Michael Academy,
00:09:27and he spent the rest of his adolescence in Mount Vernon
00:09:29and took a liking to the performance arts.
00:09:31It was reported that in his teenage years,
00:09:33Sean actually danced in several music videos for big artists like Diana Ross,
00:09:37which would explain his numerous music video antics later on in his career.
00:09:40After high school, he went to Howard University in D.C. to pursue a business degree,
00:09:44and it was during college that Diddy began gaining a reputation for throwing huge parties.
00:09:48These parties were becoming a key part of Sean's personality,
00:09:51and it was really what made him so popular.
00:09:53Sean and DJ Derek Angeletti became very close after this
00:09:56and began throwing multiple parties every single month.
00:09:58Celebrities even began attending the events and Sean took advantage of his chance
00:10:02to spread his name, engraving his name and nickname, Puff, on his business cards.
00:10:06According to the DJ, one party at the Masonic Temple had over 1,500 people in attendance.
00:10:11In 1989, after freshman year in college,
00:10:13he met up with his childhood friend Dwight Myers, aka Heavy D.
00:10:17He was like his mentor through childhood and he was a known rapper in the scene.
00:10:20In that same year, 1989, Heavy would sign to the record label Uptown Records in New York City.
00:10:24Over summer 1989, Sean went back to New York City and linked up with Heavy D,
00:10:28who later intro'd Sean to the label owner Andre Harrell,
00:10:31a flamboyant black record executive who famously coined the term Ghetto Fabulous.
00:10:35The two would allegedly become very... close.
00:10:38And that same summer, Diddy was hired as an intern for the label,
00:10:41all still while just being a freshman in college.
00:10:43He must have been giving, I mean doing, an impeccable job,
00:10:46and he was swiftly promoted to an A&R executive.
00:10:48At just age 20, Sean was already achieving massive success in the music industry.
00:10:52No one really knew how.
00:10:53By autumn 1992, after the signing of his latest label talent The Notorious B.I.G,
00:10:58the debut album Ready to Die was due for release,
00:11:00but Uptown's parent company was apparently refusing to release it,
00:11:03saying that the lyrics were far too vulgar.
00:11:05Both Diddy and Biggie were upset and voiced their frustrations,
00:11:08leading Diddy to be fired from Uptown in late 1992.
00:11:11This led Diddy to move into the next year,
00:11:13forming his own record label, the now infamous Bad Boy Entertainment.
00:11:16Diddy had begun building a very impressive lineup at Bad Boy,
00:11:19and in September 1994, the label finally released Biggie's Ready to Die.
00:11:23Ready to Die resonated with hip-hop fans instantly,
00:11:25and is considered to be one of the great classic rap albums in history,
00:11:28even scoring perfect reviews by some of music's most respected media outlets.
00:11:32Bad Boy continued their massive success throughout the 90s,
00:11:35becoming one of the biggest labels in rap,
00:11:36curating a vast catalogue of hits and respected albums,
00:11:40with massive artists like Craig Mack, Biggie Smalls, Lil' Kim, The Lox, and many more.
00:11:44And this momentum carried over into the new millennium,
00:11:46cementing Diddy as one of the biggest media moguls the rap game ever saw.
00:11:50And as a celebrity and budding New York socialite,
00:11:52Diddy's profile would continue to grow as he broke into the A-list echelon.
00:11:56Diddy got into a high-profile relationship with Jennifer Lopez,
00:11:59flaunting his new bae and his success on the red carpet at the 2000 Grammy Awards.
00:12:03By the start of the new millennium, Diddy had truly made it,
00:12:05but interestingly, as Diddy had reached the top,
00:12:07he was living the high life as perhaps hip-hop's first true mogul.
00:12:10But unfortunately, in the shadowy gutter of New York's rap scene,
00:12:13a young 50 Cent was grinding and facing some of the hardest situations a man could possibly face.
00:12:19While Diddy had found fame and a fortune on the business side of the rap game in the late 90s,
00:12:23we also saw the emergence of another titan in the rap world.
00:12:26From Southside Jamaica, Queens, New York, a man named Curtis Jackson,
00:12:29locally known in the streets as Boo Boo, before he found his 50 Cent moniker,
00:12:3350 Cent was known as a menace in the streets of Queens, who was very active from a young age,
00:12:37and was known as the boss of his 1-3-4 guy Brewer Block.
00:12:41Diddy was also known as a big-time rapper,
00:12:43who was very active from a young age, and was known as the boss of his 1-3-4 guy Brewer Block.
00:12:48But 50 Cent had bigger dreams than just running his block,
00:12:51and eventually was looking to turn his tales of running the streets into a buzzing rap career.
00:12:55In 1996, 50 was introduced to the legendary Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC,
00:12:59who helped 50 establish his sound and trained him to write raps,
00:13:02and helped improve his ability to write hooks and form proper songs.
00:13:06In 1999, 50 signed a deal and would join Columbia Records,
00:13:09ahead of the release of his debut album, Power of the Dollar.
00:13:11But, as 1999 was wrapping up,
00:13:1350 felt that there was a lack of anticipation for his upcoming debut release.
00:13:17So, on August the 10th, 50 chose to shake up the rap game,
00:13:20and put many of the biggest artists on notice.
00:13:22He released the infamous track How to Rob,
00:13:24which was basically a diss track on the whole music industry,
00:13:26including firing shots at R&B singers Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat, as well as DMX, and many more.
00:13:31But the very first diss at the start of the song was aimed at none other than P. Diddy himself.
00:13:3650 was aware that dissing the biggest label owner at the time
00:13:38would certainly attract eyes to his project,
00:13:40marking this as the first entry into the saga of beef.
00:13:44In the song, 50 threatens to kidnap Diddy's then-partner Kim Porter,
00:13:47and orders Diddy that he'll need to pay her ransom,
00:13:49and dance his way to the nearest ATM,
00:13:51hilariously alluding to Diddy's fruity dances, often seen in Bad Boy videos.
00:13:55The strategy of airing out the entire rap game,
00:13:57and aiming for the biggest names, was a genius marketing move,
00:14:00and the song really put 50 on the map and got his name buzzing.
00:14:03Just like Diddy, 50 clearly had a business-oriented mind,
00:14:06and was sharp enough to manipulate tactics
00:14:07to generate buzz for his projects and increase his sales.
00:14:10His method worked, and the very next month in September,
00:14:1350 featured in the Next People on the Verge section in Vibe magazine.
00:14:16All was set for the big release of 50's debut album,
00:14:19but the next year, disaster struck for 50's career,
00:14:21as he would seemingly use the same strategy of airing people out publicly to get attention,
00:14:25but this time it was figures in the streets,
00:14:27rather than the recording industry that he was exposing.
00:14:29His track Ghetto Quran was one of the first examples of a gangster rapper
00:14:33exposing other gangsters and their activities directly by name,
00:14:36specifically local drug lord Kenneth Supreme McGriff.
00:14:39With 50 rapping openly on the track,
00:14:41that he would break down the story of the gangster running the south side,
00:14:44openly saying that Supreme was the businessman,
00:14:46and his enforcer Prince was killing people on behalf of him.
00:14:49The song delved in excruciating detail the sorts of cars that Supreme drove,
00:14:53and called out members by name for snitching on people.
00:14:5550 knew what he was doing, even rapping,
00:14:57don't be surprised of how freely he was naming serious big-time drug dealers
00:15:01and gangsters from his area.
00:15:02This song was wild, and in some people's eyes,
00:15:04one of the earliest examples of snitching on a record.
00:15:06But 50 didn't agree with this,
00:15:08telling Vibe Magazine that everything he mentioned in the song
00:15:10had also been written about in books in the library,
00:15:12and newspaper reports that had been available publicly.
00:15:15Now I agree with the sentiment, and Ghetto Quran is certainly not snitching,
00:15:18however 50 was actually from,
00:15:20and living in the area that these gangsters he named ran in.
00:15:23This song was seen as the ultimate disrespect,
00:15:25specifically towards Supreme McGriff,
00:15:27who was mentioned in the opening lines of the song.
00:15:29So as a result, the streets decided that 50 Cent was a liability,
00:15:33and would need to be taken out.
00:15:34On May 24th 2000, whilst 50 was in a car in front of his grandmother's house,
00:15:38a stranger approached him from behind and started shooting at close range.
00:15:4250 was hit nine times, but like a true soldier,
00:15:4450 drove himself to Jamaica Hospital and survived the attack, narrowly escaping death.
00:15:49One bullet had knocked out a tooth, another had hit his hip,
00:15:51and sadly he was told that he would forever slur and limp,
00:15:54with the implication that this would obviously affect 50's ability to rap,
00:15:57but he didn't let it stop him.
00:15:59His original album Power of the Dollar was set for release in July 2000,
00:16:02but after the shooting, 50 was dropped from the label.
00:16:05Luckily, 50 managed to make a full recovery from the incident,
00:16:08and by 2001 he was back in the studio writing music once again.
00:16:11And it appears that by this point,
00:16:12Diddy had actually let the previous diss aimed at him on How to Rob slide,
00:16:16as 50 claims that Jennifer Lopez, Diddy's girlfriend at the time,
00:16:19had told Diddy to use 50 Cent as a ghostwriter.
00:16:21And allegedly, Diddy actually took up this advice,
00:16:24because on the 10th of July 2001,
00:16:26bad boy artist G-Depp released his song Let's Get It,
00:16:28a posse cut featuring Black Rob and P. Diddy himself, or Puffy as he was known at the time.
00:16:33According to 50 Cent, he actually wrote the chorus and Diddy's verse for this track,
00:16:37and when assessing the hook,
00:16:38it definitely seems to be something that could have been produced by 50's pen.
00:16:59Now the following year in 2002,
00:17:0250 had officially become the hottest unsigned artist in the game,
00:17:05and on April 26th 2002, 50 released his mixtape Guess Who's Back,
00:17:09taunting his ops who left him for dead.
00:17:11And interestingly, despite the ghostwriting lifeline Diddy had thrown to him,
00:17:14on track 8 entitled Get Out the Club,
00:17:1650 once again disses P. Diddy, calling Diddy a trick.
00:17:20A pointed bar, but also perhaps a slightly subtle hint that 50 might have known
00:17:23some of the nasty things Diddy had to do behind the scenes to get his career going.
00:17:27But 50 had ultimately come up off the back of drama
00:17:29and making a mockery of powerful people,
00:17:31and in natural, flofty fashion, he didn't just stop there.
00:17:34On August 1st 2002, 50 Cent released the G-Unit assisted mixtape No Mercy No Fear,
00:17:39and on track 16 part 2 and Bump Heads,
00:17:4150 speaks from the outro to the instrumental of a Bad Boy song I Need a Girl part 2,
00:17:45where 50 says,
00:17:46Hey Puffy, stop making those I miss J-Lo records.
00:17:49For some reason, Diddy had obviously got under 50's skin,
00:17:52but at the time, Diddy chose not to respond or pay any of these disses any attention.
00:17:56Perhaps at the time, Diddy appreciated 50's Joker personality
00:17:59and understood that his method of virality was trying to prod the biggest names in the game,
00:18:03and honestly, it was working.
00:18:04As mentioned, 50 Cent was on fire during this time,
00:18:07and every label was desperately trying to sign him,
00:18:09and surprisingly, even after multiple public disses,
00:18:12Diddy himself also joined in on the bidding war.
00:18:14According to G-Unit member Tony Yayo,
00:18:16Diddy arranged a meeting with 50 to discuss a potential signing,
00:18:19but ultimately, chose not to proceed due to 50's ongoing war in New York
00:18:23with Kenneth Supreme McGriff, the kingpin and founder of the Notorious Supreme team,
00:18:27who were one of the biggest crime syndicates in New York throughout the 80s to the 2000s.
00:18:31I guess even Diddy was scared of those guys.
00:18:54He's like, yeah, we can't sign you, playboy.
00:18:55It's too much.
00:18:56He was like, it's too much drama, like, you know, with the Biggie stuff and all that.
00:18:59And I was just looking like, damn, it's him.
00:19:01You know what I'm saying?
00:19:01But what do you mean drama with the Biggie stuff?
00:19:03Because we came to Diddy.
00:19:0450 came.
00:19:05After Biggie got killed.
00:19:06That was one of the meetings that we had.
00:19:08Okay, what year was this?
00:19:09I don't know what year it was.
00:19:10We had a meeting with Diddy.
00:19:11It was me and 50 there.
00:19:12And 50, he took the meeting out of respect.
00:19:14He had deals all over the table.
00:19:16He, I wasn't saying he was going to take the deal.
00:19:18He might have, he might have not.
00:19:19But Diddy didn't want to take the deal because all the drama.
00:19:21But 50 was the hottest on the planet.
00:19:24Okay, was Hottie Rob out at this point?
00:19:26Nah, this is after Hottie Rob, just after he got shot.
00:19:28And he had all the mixtape on smash.
00:19:30With some rumors circulating that Diddy and other New York City based record labels
00:19:34actually blackballed 50 Cent from the industry due to the perceived danger of working with him.
00:19:39And another rumor had circulated that during a studio session,
00:19:4250 Cent actually pulled out a gun and scared Diddy.
00:19:45So next, as you may know, 50 Cent ultimately chose to sign with Eminem's Shady Records
00:19:50in conjunction with Dr. Dre's Aftermark.
00:19:52And the next year, under that label, he would release his classic album,
00:19:55Get Rich or Die Tryin', which went on to become one of the most commercially
00:19:58successful hip hop albums of all time, selling over 800,000 units in its first week,
00:20:03debuting at number one and going down as a modern day classic rap album at the time.
00:20:08And 50 went on to become a legendary figure in the rap game.
00:20:10Within just a couple of short years, 50 had risen to the top of the rap game,
00:20:14arguably quicker than Diddy did.
00:20:15And while Diddy was chasing mogul status, and at the time, 50 was still focused on being an artist,
00:20:20ultimately it would be hard to imagine two such enormous characters and personalities
00:20:24coexisting in the cutthroat world of the NYC rap scene peacefully.
00:20:28Slowly but surely, behind the scenes, 50 and Diddy's animosity would be growing,
00:20:32and while at times they would be friends, collaborators, or perhaps frenemies,
00:20:35what would ultimately unfold would see them eventually becoming bitter rivals,
00:20:39setting the stage for 50 to begin to contend with Diddy in the mogul rankings
00:20:43and patiently waiting over two decades to eventually claim Diddy's scalp.
00:20:55Over the next few years, Diddy and 50's beef went quiet,
00:20:58likely due to all the success on both sides.
00:21:00But behind the scenes, tension was brewing.
00:21:02By 2003, both men were megastars in the rap game in their own rights.
00:21:05One interesting moment occurred when the two crossed paths on the 28th of August 2003,
00:21:09as Diddy ended up presenting the award for best rap video at the MTV VMAs award show,
00:21:13with the winner being none other than 50 Cent for In Da Club.
00:21:22And 50 Cent and Eminem would touch the stage, dappin' up Diddy, seemingly on good vibes.
00:21:26However, that same year, something would happen that changed everything,
00:21:28because apparently one chance encounter between Diddy and 50 Cent had 50 feel in some type of way.
00:21:33Apparently in 2003, New York music executive Chris Lighty,
00:21:36who was close to both 50 and Diddy, held a star-studded wedding,
00:21:40where Lighty tied the knot with his wife Veronica.
00:21:42Both 50 and Diddy were in attendance, and 15 years later, whilst on an interview with
00:21:46the Breakfast Club, 50 revealed that Diddy had said something to him that made him uncomfortable.
00:21:5050 would also elaborate on this strange offer on his 2020 Drink Champs interview,
00:22:07when it was revealed that 50 and Diddy had been placed together on the same
00:22:09table at the wedding, and it was incredibly awkward.
00:22:19It was at this point that Diddy made the strange comment,
00:22:21offering to take 50 Cent shopping and pay for everything.
00:22:49Clearly, this comment had gotten under 50's skin. It's unclear if this was a misinterpreted
00:22:58attempt at Diddy being friendly to 50, or a sign of disrespect trying to mock his fashion sense,
00:23:02or perhaps, even worse, a deeply disturbing attempt at mind games to put 50 in a subordinate position.
00:23:08Regardless of the intent, 50 was troubled by the way Diddy was behaving at the wedding,
00:23:21and from 2003 onward, he would continue making subtle jabs at Diddy and his music,
00:23:24such as the slick line on the November 4th 2003 G-Unit track Poppin' Them Thangs,
00:23:29where 50 joked about the time Diddy assaulted label executive Steve Stout.
00:23:32Luckily, the charges were dropped, and the two were back friends.
00:23:35They'd seemingly spent time on good terms,
00:23:37for example being pictured together at showbiz events in 2004.
00:23:40But this would all change in 2006,
00:23:42when 50 Cent was gearing up to release his mixtape, G-Unit Radio 22, Hip Hop is Dead.
00:23:46As before the release of this tape, 50 had been attempting to sign
00:23:49former Bad Boy Records star Mase to his G-Unit collective and label.
00:23:52They'd become close, with Mase even appearing in the music video to 50's hit song,
00:23:56Windowshopper, which dropped in November 2005,
00:23:59perhaps sending a sign to the world that he'd been windowshopping for a new record deal.
00:24:02Funnily enough, there's a much deeper meaning to this,
00:24:04as it later emerged that 50 was offended and creeped out when Diddy offered to take him shopping,
00:24:08and in the music video, 50 had seemingly done the exact same thing,
00:24:11taking Mase out for a shopping spree.
00:24:13Interestingly, if you look deeply at 50's lyrics in the song,
00:24:16there's clearly numerous jabs at Diddy that wouldn't even make sense until over 20 years later.
00:24:20In the hook, 50 aims open-ended bars at an unnamed hater,
00:24:23saying that they're mad at him and he knows why,
00:24:25and claiming that somebody is mad when they see him drive by,
00:24:28calling out an unnamed op for screw-facing him but not having the heart to diss him,
00:24:31seemingly hinting at Diddy potentially failing to re-sign Mase,
00:24:34rapping why you mad at 50 when you effed up your own rear,
00:24:37and using a double entendre to say something is about to get stolen,
00:24:40a possible reference to Mase being poached by 50 Cent's label.
00:24:43But even deeper, the song has bars which I personally think hint towards
00:24:46some of the sexual depravity Diddy was exposed for 20 years later,
00:24:50such as 50 opening the track saying the top feels so much better than the bottom,
00:24:53and if you think I'm reaching, even Charlamagne in 2018
00:24:56brought this line up when 50 told him Diddy had offered to take him shopping.
00:25:0150 also made reference to freak-offs,
00:25:10which would later be mentioned in a big indictment against Diddy,
00:25:12and a remix of the song featuring Mase would later release as part of 50's mixtape
00:25:16Junit Radio Part 16, as well as his Bulletproof video game soundtrack.
00:25:20Cam'ron would later question Mase on what on earth he was doing
00:25:23out shopping with 50 in the music video in a hilarious 2023 podcast.
00:25:31This video caused issue between 50 and Diddy as Mase was always a bad boy artist
00:25:55and was almost seen as Diddy's right hand man, but ultimately Mase was disgruntled with his deal
00:26:00with one article quoting him as saying even Diddy knew he wanted to leave the label.
00:26:04In fact, this MTV article seemed to portray the signing as a done deal,
00:26:08sporting a headline claiming that even Diddy was in favour of the deal,
00:26:11with quotes from Mase suggesting that he had pretty much decided that joining Junit was a done deal.
00:26:15Interestingly, the article suggested that Diddy and Mase had already discussed their contract
00:26:19buyout, and that Diddy had told the news with a grin that he's certain that 50 Cent has the
00:26:24money to buy Mase out of his deal. However, things weren't as sorted as they seemed,
00:26:27with 50 claiming in a 2014 Funk Flex interview on Hot 97 that Diddy did some sucker stuff over
00:26:32this deal. 50 would recount a run in at the Nobu restaurant with Diddy, claiming that Diddy told
00:26:47him it was all good and he was just waiting for 50 to take care of the finances to release Mase
00:26:51from his deal. Interestingly, he also said that Diddy muddied the waters between 50 Cent and Jimmy
00:27:17who 50 was in Nobu to have a meeting with about negotiating the deal for Junit Artist The Game's
00:27:22next album, with Diddy apparently making a too good to be true offer for Mase, saying that he
00:27:26would give him the money to sign him and complete the album, and that 50 and Jimmy could keep the
00:27:29profits once Diddy had recouped from Mase's deal. Not only a too good to be true offer, but it also
00:27:34put 50 in a tough spot with Jimmy who was there to work out the Junit deal on the game's next album.
00:28:04In this interview, 50 would then reveal that later, Diddy eventually told him that he was
00:28:17really expecting a whopping $2 million to release Mase from his contract, with 50 famously saying
00:28:23that Mase wasn't worth $2 million with $2 million in his pocket and that he'd have paid $1 million
00:28:34to release Mase. 50 even said he felt like Diddy was trying to take advantage of him because he
00:28:43knew he was new to the game and that he had $2 million after the success of Get Rich or Die
00:28:47Triumph. This $2 million offer was far beyond what Mase was worth and pretty much a go f yourself
00:28:59offer. Diddy was pretending to be serious about letting 50 sign Mase,
00:29:02basically to waste his time and money. As Mase explained later,
00:29:05Diddy essentially blocked the deal from going through.
00:29:30Underlining battle, the invisible battle. So then when I said I wanted to go with G-Unit,
00:29:36he was trying to get all of the money back from 50 Cent. 50 Cent is a street guy, he's not going
00:29:41to pay that. So then you run into issues. So when Puff, he just kept saying he wanted $2 million,
00:29:49then he wanted $3 million, and he was just trying to make it where we wouldn't have a budget if you
00:29:54give him all the money. You know how Puff is. You're going to cut your arm off to get free.
00:29:59You get free, you're going to have an invisible leg.
00:30:02This was a furious head to head and a deep situation when you think about it. 50 came
00:30:06up as a rapper and reached the top of the game before trying his hand at business and
00:30:10the executive positions. Meanwhile, Diddy had somehow managed to climb the greasy pole as
00:30:14an executive with handy deals made behind the scenes that propelled him to the top of the
00:30:18boardroom as a label executive. With Diddy using his industry clout and the help of actually
00:30:22talented writers like 50 to eventually make himself a famous rapper too. Now 50, a successful
00:30:27artist, was trying to poach one of the most famous artists who had helped Diddy make a name
00:30:31for himself. This would represent a serious challenge for dominance in the backrooms of
00:30:34the rap industry and set the stage for an intense beef that would unfold for years to come. 50 Cent
00:30:39would escalate the beef to new heights when he dropped his P Diddy diss track, The Bomb, aka
00:30:43Hip Hop, ahead of that mixtape's release. Articles began to circulate at the end of August 2006,
00:30:48saying 50 Cent just dropped The Bomb on Diddy. The song itself was a remix of Dead Prez's
00:30:52classic track Hip Hop with one of the most iconic beats in the history of rap. On the track,
00:30:5750 rapped that Diddy knew who killed Biggie and that he was scared of the boys who did it from
00:31:00the west side. The song had a boastful hook where he claimed that him and his G-Unit crew run Hip
00:31:04Hop in its entirety, not Diddy. 50 would also rant at Diddy on the outro with a long tirade that
00:31:09dissed Diddy into another dimension. He mocked Diddy's parties saying that he won't be getting
00:31:13invited to the White Party and the Hamptons after this diss, but 50 doesn't want to come
00:31:17to the White Parties anyway and he doesn't want to hang out with Diddy's punk ass. He'd then move
00:31:21on to rant about Diddy blocking him signing Mace, saying that he doesn't even want Mace anymore,
00:31:25going on to say that Diddy and Mace wasted his time on purpose and that Diddy should reimburse
00:31:28him $50,000 in travel fees for flying around the world trying to help Mace. He'd even claim that
00:31:33somebody told him something about Diddy that he could easily expose. Now this song caused a huge
00:31:37splash when it was released, but funnily enough in recent months since the FBI's raids on Diddy's
00:31:41properties it's actually had a resurgence, with YouTube commenters joking that the feds must have
00:31:46been spinning this song during the raid. It seemed that following this, rather than outright beef,
00:31:5050 Cent opted to kill his enemies with success, and going into 2007 in August,
00:31:54when the Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings list was announced, 50 Cent had actually overtaken Diddy,
00:31:58ranking number 2 behind Jay-Z, with Diddy in 3rd place as the top 3 earning rappers.
00:32:02However, it may well have been the case that 50 was actually the number 1 spot secretly,
00:32:06as the deal for Coca-Cola to buy Vitamin Water, which 50 Cent invested in early,
00:32:10was only announced a little more than a week before this list went public, and since 50 was
00:32:14set to make a rumoured 9 figure sum from the deal, he may well have been number 1 by a landslide,
00:32:18but the numbers weren't actually known yet. Now go check my vintage video on that topic if you
00:32:22want to know the whole story. But clearly, there was a lot of competition between the top earners
00:32:25in hip hop, and interestingly all of them were New Yorkers. Funnily enough, despite their bitter
00:32:29rivalries, less than a week later, all three of these rich rappers would end up having a dramatic
00:32:33run in with each other. On August 22nd 2007, T.I. and Ciara's Screamfest tour would go to
00:32:38Madison Square Garden in New York, and at the show there would be a surprise performance by T.I.,
00:32:43Jay-Z, Kanye West, 50 Cent, and Diddy. This was a wild moment and included some strange things,
00:32:48because when Jay-Z realised 50 Cent had walked onto the stage, it seemed like a
00:32:51frosty introduction and there was a little tension between them.
00:32:54Some have suggested that this was completely unplanned and that 50 Cent actually invaded
00:33:20the stage and strong-armed the others into letting him stay, asserting his dominance as
00:33:24the king of New York rap, with it being suggested that Jay's introduction showed him he was rattled
00:33:28and didn't have a choice but to let 50 stay on the stage. During Kanye's performance of Can't
00:33:41Tell Me Nothing, Diddy and 50 would be seen running around the stage separately, and all
00:33:45five would stand side by side on the stage in a legendary moment that sent the fans wild.
00:33:49Quite a few weird things played out in the dynamics between these frenemies of rap royalty
00:33:53during this performance. 50 would begin hilariously counting a large wad of money on
00:33:57stage, and 50 and Diddy would then seem to walk towards each other for a moment before the camera
00:34:01cut back to T.I. At one point, Diddy seems to be creeping up behind 50, with 50's head on a swivel,
00:34:06and watching out for Diddy approaching him, and perhaps for good reason, because this is
00:34:09where Diddy famously spanked Jay-Z's bottom in front of the whole crowd in a bizarre play of
00:34:14power. I'll be honest, having watched this closely, it seems that 50 continually keeps
00:34:18his distance from Diddy, with Diddy seemingly keeping eyes on 50 and often trying to get
00:34:22closer to him. At one point, 50 is actually distracted by the crowd, and Diddy does a
00:34:26complete 360 turn and keeps eyes on 50's rear. But then, right at the end, Diddy actually runs
00:34:31in with his arm around Ye, and throws his arm around 50 Cent, with 50 visibly pulling back
00:34:35from Diddy's embrace and quickly shaking him loose. Right at the end, the two would face
00:34:39off for a tense moment, where to me, 50 looks like he's mean-mugging Diddy slightly. It was
00:34:43an insane moment, and wild timing, all happening just a week after all of these artists fought it
00:34:48out to decide who would be the hip-hop's top moneymaker in Forbes magazine, but perhaps this
00:34:52event, or the fact that they were all getting money brought them together, as not long after
00:34:55that event, the remix to 50 Cent's smash hit I Get Money Drops, which is called the Forbes
00:35:001-2-3 Billion Dollar Remix, featuring both P. Diddy and Jay-Z dropping verses on 50's hit song.
00:35:05Interestingly, at the time, Jay-Z claimed that 50 actually wanted to get him and Diddy on his
00:35:10remix, which showed the world there was no longer hate between them. The remix itself didn't feature
00:35:14any shade by 50, and was mainly just braggadocious bars. However, in Diddy's verse, he dropped many
00:35:19questionable lyrics that today would have anyone giving the side-eye. Ironically, he started his
00:35:23verse ending the first three lines with the phrase, Diddy did it, and the fourth, by saying his lawyer
00:35:28is so good, that Diddy got acquitted. For now, it seemed that Diddy and 50 had actually become
00:35:32friends, or at least neutral for the time being. However, in a 2008 MTV interview backstage,
00:35:37Diddy and 50 had a play fight after 50 crashed a Diddy interview to promote his new reality show.
00:36:37It seemed that while friendly, the two were still on thin ice, and soon the tension would be rising.
00:37:06Diddy and 50 appeared together again when 50 Cent became embroiled in a deep beef with Rick Ross.
00:37:10Now go check my vintage video on that if you don't know the story, but during the beef,
00:37:1350 made several incredibly disrespectful vlogs and videos trolling Rick Ross, including one where he
00:37:18invited Rick Ross' son and his mother to Floyd Mayweather's mansion in Las Vegas, with an
00:37:23arguably uncomfortable looking Diddy appearing in the background for parts of the video.
00:37:26At one point, Diddy and 50 seem to be having a friendly conversation, and they go on to eat
00:37:30candy and chat with Floyd and film director Gary Gray for a while. This was surprising,
00:37:34as it seemed that Rick Ross and Diddy actually had a good relationship, but it's entirely possible
00:37:38that Diddy's presence there was completely unplanned. In fact, in the coming months and
00:37:41years, it would emerge that clearly Diddy was much closer to Rick Ross than 50 Cent on a personal
00:37:46level, as Rick Ross would later appear on the 2010 remix to Diddy's Dirty Money Crew's track Angels,
00:37:51and a few months later in April 2010, it would be announced that Diddy had become Rick Ross'
00:37:55official manager, with Rick Ross later claiming in an interview that their relationship is much
00:37:59deeper than just rap, and later announcing that they were recording a joint project together
00:38:02under the name Bugatti Boys, and releasing the track Another One. Unfortunately, as Rick Ross'
00:38:07beef with 50 Cent ended up getting extremely raw and personal, no doubt 50 began seeing Diddy and
00:38:12Ricky in the same batch as certified ops, but in the years that followed, there was less personal
00:38:16back and forth between Diddy and 50, perhaps 50 knew how terminal Diddy's decline would eventually
00:38:21be. He seemed to keep a safe distance from hip hop supervillain, but eventually, just like the
00:38:24situation with Mase, the beef between Diddy and 50 would be reignited once again, with the war
00:38:29playing out this time in the business boardrooms, rather than in disses in songs.
00:38:41While Diddy made his name in the record business, heading up Bad Boy Records with the booming
00:38:45success of The Notorious B.I.G, and after Biggie's untimely and suspect death, eventually making a
00:38:50name for himself as a rapper, but Diddy's career as a money maker went far beyond just the rap
00:38:54music industry. He famously founded clothing brand Sean John, which generated hundreds of millions
00:38:59and a company that he eventually sold pieces of for top dollar, but Diddy's next famous power
00:39:03play in the business world was becoming the spokesperson for Ciroc, an alcoholic beverage
00:39:07made of grapes, marketed as vodka, but not necessarily actually vodka, something that
00:39:11Diddy seemed to suggest was an asset, rather than a finesse, claiming that only peasants drink
00:39:16actual vodka made from potatoes. The grape derived party drink eventually came in a variety
00:39:39of fruity flavours that matched Diddy's various personalities perfectly. Interestingly,
00:39:43the brand was launched back in 2003, and one of the first celebrities used to market the product
00:39:47was NFL player Earl Little. The brand Ciroc would truly catapult itself into the hip hop world in
00:39:552007 when they started working with Jay-Z and eventually Diddy, who began pushing the brand
00:40:00hard after signing an alleged $100 million deal with the brand, announcing the partnership in a
00:40:04glossy press conference where Diddy claimed that this partnership with Ciroc would revolutionise
00:40:09the spirits industry forever. And it certainly
00:40:38revolutionised Diddy's pockets forever, with it emerging that Diddy was in charge of all marketing
00:40:42for the Ciroc brand in a big money deal that would see Diddy sharing 50% of the profits.
00:40:46Over the following 6 years or so, Diddy would shamelessly plug this drink at every opportunity,
00:40:50in glossy TV ads depicting Diddy partying in high class with Ciroc as his drink of choice,
00:40:55to 3 minute commercial movies where Diddy would hold a Ciroc smooth off and refer to himself as
00:41:00Ciroc Obama, he would hold star studded Ciroc parties attended by the biggest rappers of the
00:41:04era and he would famously ring in the new year year after year with his Ciroc the New Year
00:41:08campaign and yearly parties. And soon Ciroc would be an inescapable part of every single Diddy
00:41:30party, some of which were inescapable. But at the time, the Ciroc branding's
00:41:33association with the Diddy parties was brilliant. By 2013, Ciroc was making and spending so much
00:41:38money on their ads they were looking like full blown Hollywood movies with star studded casts
00:41:42of A-list actors. This one ad alone included appearances from Matt Goss, Diddy, Frank
00:41:46Vincent, Jesse Williams, Chad Michael Murray, Michael K Williams, Christopher Jones and Aaron
00:41:51Paul. And in a 2013 interview, Diddy spoke on his business ambitions in a sit down which
00:41:56declared his business empire worth a whopping $345 million, with Diddy claiming that he wanted
00:42:01to produce the music you hear, the clothes you wear, the alcohol you drink, with Martin Bashir
00:42:05seemingly spotting Diddy's insane megalomania all the way back then.
00:42:26By 2014, Diddy had truly taken his Ciroc brand to the top of the game. But naturally,
00:42:49if one person is making a bag in business, it doesn't take long for new competitors to try
00:42:53and get into the market. And perhaps unsurprisingly, once again, Diddy's latest corporate op would be
00:42:57none other than 50 Cent himself. Now, in the years following the Rick Ross beef, while Diddy was
00:43:02building the Ciroc brand, the beef between Diddy and 50 got relatively quiet. That's not to say
00:43:06that there weren't the usual characteristic jabs from 50, with shots being sent Diddy's way here
00:43:11and there. The summer of 2010 would actually see 50 Cent going on a Diddy hate press run of sorts.
00:43:16He would do back to back interviews where he dropped maximum shade on Diddy. On June the 10th,
00:43:2050 would be on a Boston radio show called Jam in 94.5, where he called in to say Diddy's music
00:43:25sucks and that he's a bloodsucker, as well as saying Diddy shouldn't say that Rick Ross reminds
00:43:28him of Biggie Smalls.
00:43:59That's right. So you're not buying Puffy's CD when it comes out at all, huh?
00:44:21Yeah.
00:44:28Yeah.
00:44:48He's one hell of a businessman.
00:44:50He is, but what he does is suck the blood out of the artist.
00:44:54What artist exists after the interaction with him?
00:44:57A week later, in a diss towards 50, Diddy announced that he was renaming his super
00:45:01group to The Supreme Team, the same name as the gang who shot 50. Then, on June the 24th,
00:45:052010, during another interview, 50 spoke on Diddy and said despite having music out,
00:45:09he wouldn't class Diddy as an actual artist because he doesn't write any of his music,
00:45:13suggesting that he's more in the business of making music rather than actual art.
00:45:17You know what's interesting? He has a, he's not an artist.
00:45:20He has an album out.
00:45:21Yeah, but he's not an artist. See, an artist would be someone who actually wrote something,
00:45:26maybe, on the record. Imagine if I just sat around and listened to people's CDs and said,
00:45:30I'm just going to say the first verse that I hear that sounds good. That would completely
00:45:33take away the pressure and I'd still be the artist in front of you with a new song every
00:45:38two minutes because every artist that has a song that would like to make some money off it would
00:45:41send it. What I thought was a part of the culture that made hip-hop culture exciting to me was each
00:45:46person's individual experience, how you learn to enjoy them as an individual and their portion of
00:45:51their life, carving out that piece. When that's not there because they're just being executive,
00:45:56like you say, you don't write rhymes, you write checks. That's not hot. Like for hip-hop, it's not.
00:46:00Now, Diddy would actually clap back at 50 in a speech made at the BET Awards afterparty in June
00:46:042010, where he told people to stop hating, saying that hate is for suckers, without actually naming
00:46:0950 directly, but calling him a crab. Naturally, 50 would continue smack-talking Diddy in response
00:46:14to these jabs. In July 2010, 50 would question Diddy's intentions in the art of hip-hop again
00:46:18after Diddy appeared on the song The Ghost of Christopher Wallace with Jay Electronica,
00:46:22another tribute to Diddy's fallen friend and artist Biggie Smalls, and it had 50 feeling
00:46:26some type of way. He would let the public know that he didn't appreciate Diddy for using Biggie's
00:46:30name for clout and money, tweeting, Enough is enough. Biggie's name should have never become
00:46:34Diddy's black card. Let Diddy know to let B.I.G. rest in peace. When was the last time Diddy really
00:46:39was bigging up his brother, not bigging up his bank? 50 would actually start a Twitter petition
00:46:43trying to ban Diddy from using Biggie's name going forward. And around the same time as this,
00:46:47in August or July, another interview would drop where 50 Cent hopped onto the radio with DJ Who
00:46:52Kid on Shade 45, and here 50 would be asked about the comments that Diddy made at the BET Awards
00:46:56afterparty, with 50 responding calling Puffy a bitch and suggesting that he simply wants
00:47:00attention from men. They would even for a moment bring up the fact that
00:47:30Diddy was forming a group called the Supreme Team, with 50 saying Puffy should know better.
00:47:5150 would then go on to say that he spoke to Diddy on the phone after the mace situation,
00:47:55saying that Diddy had a new girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, with 50 saying he'd been sent
00:47:59compromising pictures of her that had been submitted to his website thisis50.com. What
00:48:03he was sent were tapes that would allegedly later be described as one of Diddy's freak off videos.
00:48:08And when 50 says in the interview, not the stuff you saw, it's way worse, he was referring to
00:48:31leaked topless pictures of Cassie that had circulated in mid-2009, with them eventually
00:48:35being taken down for a pretty interesting reason, with one Hollywood gossip blog explaining that
00:48:39the topless pictures of Cassie were taken down due to a claim from Bad Boy Records,
00:48:43on the basis that they had bought the photos and had exclusive rights over them. Interestingly,
00:48:47this 50 Cent interview was the following year, months after the rumours had circulated on
00:48:51Twitter that Cassie's even more compromising clips had been leaked, and the following year
00:48:54in 2011, Media Takeout would report that they had been contacted by somebody claiming to have an
00:48:58explicit tape that starred both Diddy and Cassie together, with an explicit photo of themselves
00:49:03together also getting shared online around this time. But anyway, 50 would go on explaining that
00:49:07after he was sent the alleged freak off video through his website, he actually called Diddy
00:49:10to ask him if Cassie was really his girlfriend. 50 said that it was after this confirmation from
00:49:23Diddy that Cassie was indeed his real girlfriend that he sent Diddy the clips, but he was surprised
00:49:27when Diddy called him back and said thank you for the video.
00:49:34Diddy would go on to quiz 50 asking him where did you get these from, with 50 reminding everybody
00:49:40that usually when he gets sent something, it's getting posted online.
00:49:44Then 50 would go on to drop a bombshell explaining that because of the way Diddy reacted,
00:50:06he realised that these pictures and videos weren't being made because Cassie wanted them,
00:50:09but because actually Diddy wanted them, even saying cryptically that Puffy likes to take
00:50:39advantage of all of something. This was a bombshell interview but it didn't really pick up steam at
00:50:43the time. Interestingly however, a month later in September 2010, 50 Cent would actually run
00:50:47into both Jay-Z and Diddy backstage, with 50 later telling MTV that he'd seemingly squashed
00:50:52his beef with Diddy. With the two having a conversation and coming to an understanding,
00:50:56with 50 saying I had a conversation with Puffy the night before Jay, he gave me a whole new
00:51:00perspective on his actions. He's like, I understand the way you felt because of what I was doing at
00:51:04the time, but I wasn't thinking what you were thinking I was. You done hit me 9 times, I'm
00:51:08just in the fetal position because I understand why you're attacking me. But if I can't touch
00:51:11bases with you to tell you what I'm thinking or why I did it, then you can't understand it.
00:51:16Interestingly, a week later, Diddy would be on the cover of Vibe Magazine along with 50's
00:51:20arch nemesis Rick Ross. The article would discuss the feud, with 50 stating that Diddy was unfazed
00:51:25by 50 claiming to have the nudes of Cassie, but Diddy wouldn't answer any direct questions or
00:51:28give any quotes relating to 50 Cent. Seemingly the bitter feud was frozen into a cold war at
00:51:33this point. 50 and Diddy would appear to leave each other alone for all of 2011 and the majority
00:51:37of 2012, with one of the only jams being thrown by 50 in December of 2012 when he made a tweet
00:51:42about music manager James Cruz, an ominous post where he said that he asked Diddy what he did to
00:51:46James Cruz to make him act like one of his girlfriends, going on to say that Diddy said
00:51:50what happens in Miami, stays in Miami. And Tony Yayo from G-Unit would later say in a VladTV
00:51:54interview that 50 had actually told him that Diddy had hooked up with James Cruz.
00:51:58What did he say?
00:51:58Oh, he said, 50 said, James Cruz F Diddy.
00:52:02Oh.
00:52:02Like had sex with Diddy, some crazy.
00:52:04Okay.
00:52:05Come on. I didn't believe it was true. You know what I mean? Shout to Diddy, Cruz and 50.
00:52:08Now this was seemingly a joke, but some took it serious and it was yet another hint from 50 Cent
00:52:12that Diddy's extracurricular activities were slowly getting known by the world. But once again,
00:52:16things would quieten down between the two until 50 once again saw something sus from Diddy,
00:52:20with 50 on social media just being unable to hold his tongue, this time tweeting a picture
00:52:24of Diddy and Rick Ross embracing, almost as if about to kiss, with the caption Good Morning Girl.
00:52:28Again, nearly a year would go by before another shot would be fired, with 50 reposting that same
00:52:33picture along with yet another sus image of Diddy with Steve Stout in March of 2014,
00:52:37along with a caption reading, I ain't saying nothing, but something ain't right, LMAO.
00:52:40But while 50 was throwing jabs, Diddy was getting busy. At the end of March,
00:52:43he would release a new song under his original stage name, Puff Daddy,
00:52:46assisted by French Montana and Rick Ross. 50 Cent would quickly react in an interview on 92Q,
00:52:51which has unfortunately since been deleted on their website. But in a Vibe article reporting
00:52:54on it, it was claimed in the new interview that 50 had called Diddy's new song with French Montana
00:52:58and Rick Ross straight garbage, saying, You know he hasn't got any music you want to hear.
00:53:02If this is what he's deciding to put out. 50 would elaborate on his comments in a Hot 97 interview,
00:53:07saying that the song was weak.
00:53:24Funk would ask 50 about his strained relationship with Diddy.
00:53:32And this is where Flex would actually ask 50 about Mace,
00:53:43in that iconic moment where 50 says Mace wasn't worth 2 million with 2 million in his pocket.
00:53:47But anyway, beyond these comments, what would happen next would see the beef between Diddy
00:53:51and 50 kick off in the boardroom once again in a big way. As clearly having seen Diddy make
00:53:56millions of dollars from his Ciroc partnership, 50 would decide to enter the vodka market himself
00:54:00with a bang in 2014, partnering with drinks maker Suntory to promote a new vodka called Effin.
00:54:05Ironically, 50 making a mockery of Diddy would be the basis of one of the very first marketing
00:54:09campaigns for Effin, as 50 would go viral with an image of Diddy getting a dance from a very
00:54:14large woman, accompanied by the caption, Damn, 50's right, I'm Effin up right now. Diddy would
00:54:18reply in a post of his own, seemingly unfazed, stating, If it ain't making me money, making me
00:54:23better, or making me happy, I ain't making time for it. 50 however would continue using Diddy to
00:54:27promote his new product, with another Instagram post saying, Nothing like Effin by the fire,
00:54:31new drink, no more puffy juice, lol. The vodka wars were now in full effect, and it was Effin
00:54:36gang spinning the block on the Ciroc boys on a regular basis, and one of 50's regularly used
00:54:40quips would refer to Ciroc as puffy juice. This is something he would use to make fun of young
00:54:44Thug in April 2015, when Thug tweeted that he smoked blunts so big they looked like...
00:54:49With 50 saying, What the eff, he on that puffy juice lol, hashtag Effin vodka. He would also
00:54:53take aim at Diddy and French Montana, posting an image of them laying suspiciously close to each
00:54:58other, with the caption reading, What in the effin vodka is going on in this picture man,
00:55:01something's not quite right. In May, 50 would post a clip to Facebook of his car surrounded by fans,
00:55:06telling followers that no one ever shows out like this for Diddy.
00:55:14In June 2015 at the BET Awards, Diddy would fall on stage while performing,
00:55:18which 50 came out to say was the highlight of the whole event.
00:55:23From here, Diddy and 50 would continue to go back and forth. Apparently,
00:55:30the following month in July, Diddy made a post for 50 Cent's birthday,
00:55:33showing a picture of them together, with the caption saying, Happy Birthday,
00:55:36and that he'd sent 50 a lifetime supply of Ciroc. In August, Diddy is on the Breakfast Club,
00:55:40and has his people take down 50 Cent's bottle of Effin Vodka that was in the background,
00:55:44which 50 had apparently sent for Diddy personally.
00:55:53Diddy did send 50 a whole lifetime supply of Ciroc for his birthday as well,
00:56:16so you guys have a hopefully friendly back and forth.
00:56:21Just so people know what's going on.
00:56:22Thank you, thank you.
00:56:23Why the Vodka Awards look like rap battles?
00:56:27Why did that change?
00:56:28You know what it is, it's enough for everybody, so you know, I welcome him into the game, you know,
00:56:33and it's good to see somebody of my color out there, you know, represented in this field,
00:56:38and you know, hopefully he appreciates me opening up the doors for him continuously.
00:56:43That's basically what he's saying, but he would not be as successful as Ciroc.
00:56:47Nah, nah.
00:56:49Nah, but I sent him a lifetime supply of Ciroc, and so I appreciate his gesture.
00:56:54He only sent you one case, that's kind of an insult.
00:56:58I mean, when you first starting out in these little companies, you know what I'm saying,
00:57:00they don't really have a lot of supply, you know, so that's, you know, with Homeboy's Vodka,
00:57:04you know, sometimes maybe you can only send a case.
00:57:06It's been great to see more people of color get into the game,
00:57:09and to be able to get the different endorsements and the support,
00:57:12and so, you know, I welcome anybody that's coming in, hustling, trying to,
00:57:16you know, you know, get their thing on, so, you know, I wish 50 the best of luck.
00:57:19Then, like a nasty rash you picked up from a freak-off,
00:57:21the beef would spread quickly to Diddy's inner circle,
00:57:23as French Montana would find himself on the front lines of the Vodka Wars 2.
00:57:27In late August, French would be seen giving an underhanded
00:57:29shout-out to F'n Vodka whilst at an event that they were sponsoring.
00:57:32Some man's here, he came by.
00:57:34Shout-out to F'n Vodka.
00:57:37That s*** kind of watered down by 11.
00:57:39Well, that's warm.
00:57:4050 would react to this clip laughing, saying that French is down with G-Unit,
00:57:44not Diddy, and hinting that Diddy hadn't cut French a check for his loyalty to Chiroc.
00:57:4750 would then make a post saying that French had an in-store
00:57:49when nobody showed up, and that Diddy must have set him up.
00:57:52Yo, check this s*** out. So, yesterday, French Montana had an in-store up in the Bronx.
00:57:5710 people showed up. He said, f*** this, let me have a drink.
00:58:01Puffy trying to make me go against 50. He set me up.
00:58:04The following day, French Montana backtracked, and would be on stage dissing F'n Vodka.
00:58:09I guess 50 don't know me and Max do one CT, right?
00:58:18We don't f***ing get F'n Vodka over there, you hear me, man?
00:58:23A couple days after that, French would post a follow-up video on social media
00:58:26dumping bottles of F'n Vodka in the trash.
00:58:33This is how I feel about your boy.
00:58:34What the f*** is this?
00:58:4250 would then respond to this, saying Diddy must have called French after he
00:58:45said that he liked F'n and forced him to trash the bottles.
00:58:48Yo, I just seen a clip of French Montana throwing bottles of F'n in the garbage.
00:58:51You know Puffy called him like, you said you f***ing like this s***.
00:58:53You f***ing want your record out, don't you?
00:58:56You f***ing dummy. You f***ing playing.
00:58:58You f***ing putting us out of business. You better do something.
00:59:0250 even posted it with a caption comparing French's post to Diddy sending his runners
00:59:06to fetch cheesecake for him like they did on Making the Band, as well as another post
00:59:09saying that Diddy must have touched French Montana's butt like James Cruz for him to
00:59:12back Diddy so hard, and 50 would tweet around this time that he had spoken to Diddy who
00:59:16told him that he was getting too old to keep up with the beef.
00:59:19Not long after that, 50 would post saying that Puffy must have been mad to find out
00:59:22that F'n Vodka was the main event at the latest sales meeting for Suntory Drinks.
00:59:26Over the next year, there would be a few sparse jabs between 50 and Diddy's camps.
00:59:2950 would tweet seemingly indicating that Diddy was pissed when he found out about
00:59:3350's F'n deal and hinted that perhaps Diddy had offered him a Chiroc deal.
00:59:36In February 2016, when news circulated after an ex-LAPD detective claimed that Diddy had
00:59:41paid Keefy D a million dollars for the hit on Tupac, 50 reposted it with a caption saying
00:59:46So Puffy with it, huh? You gotta watch these punks. Scary ass dudes will try you.
00:59:49Hashtag no Puffy juice. He killed your favorite rapper.
00:59:52And 50 would follow up with a skit on his Instagram where he recorded himself
00:59:55telling someone on the phone that Diddy killed Tupac.
00:59:58I told you, I told you, you can't trust these n****s. Puffy done killed Tupac, man.
01:00:04In April 2016, 50 appeared on Shade 45 with the Heavy Hitters where he once again discussed
01:00:08how much better F'n was than Chiroc and that he has a bigger vision than Diddy.
01:00:12Talk to me about the liquor, bro.
01:00:13I remember doing it like, you know, it's a premium vodka. It's made from wheat.
01:00:17Chiroc is made from grapes. So, you know, it's more sugar content in it, you know.
01:00:24Wine tested, you smell it. The grapes, you gotta figure out how to...
01:00:27It's a little more syrupy. You gotta get rid of the grape taste to bring peach.
01:00:32Or to bring those other things that are there, so to speak.
01:00:34You're taking the same blueprint that he did with Chiroc Boys or the Chiroc flavor.
01:00:38That's what he only did in New York. So he had the right dream, just the wrong vision.
01:00:4150 would go on to explain that his plan with F'n was to hurt Diddy before going on to say
01:00:45that Diddy is someone who stands next to the guy, but 50 really is the guy.
01:00:48So you and Puff go at it neck and neck?
01:00:51All the time with your brands?
01:00:52Well, you know it's gonna hurt him.
01:00:55You know, look, he's a guy who stands next to the guy. He's not the guy. I am the guy.
01:01:01He's next to Biggie, he's next to Greg Mack, he's next to Mase, he's next to The Lox,
01:01:04he's next to Cam. When have you seen him by himself and was excited?
01:01:0750 would repeat his earlier assertions that Diddy isn't an artist,
01:01:10just a music mogul who cuts checks to real artists.
01:01:13You know he's not an artist. He's a party promoter, a business person,
01:01:17producer, a lot of other things, but not an artist. You know what I'm saying?
01:01:20Then when Diddy announced he was retiring from rap to pursue acting full-time,
01:01:2350 joked that he thought Diddy retired 10 years ago.
01:01:26However, there would be some small responses, even if not from Diddy himself.
01:01:29That same month, May 2016,
01:01:31a drunken French Montana throws more effing in the trash when he's at the breakfast club.
01:01:53I'm not going to do that, man. I'm going to hit against the wall.
01:02:15Who drinks for a loco? Who drinks for a loco?
01:02:20This Thunderbird, this motherf*****. No, hold on, leave this right there.
01:02:26And I drink Ciroc when I drink Henny. But who drinks for a loco?
01:02:32I'm so heated right now. Like, I'm heated. But guess what?
01:02:37This s**t don't even want to close. Once you open it, don't close.
01:02:40Look. It's leaking all over my hand. Look.
01:02:48Jesus Christ.
01:02:50Funnily enough, it would seem that French's drunken loyalty would pay dividends in the end,
01:02:53as the following year French would be granted his own flavour of Puffy Juice,
01:02:56when Ciroc launched the French Vanilla flavour in partnership with French Montana himself.
01:03:00But the month after French threw the effing in the trash again,
01:03:03Fiddy would clap back, not just at Diddy, but the whole lineup of bad boy artists,
01:03:07who had seemingly been screwed over by Diddy.
01:03:08He posted Mace with the caption reading,
01:03:10After you dance with the devil, you need God in your life.
01:03:12Look at what Puff did to Mace. Hashtag no Puffy Juice.
01:03:15And he went on to post unflattering pics of Loon and Shine with the caption,
01:03:19After dancing with the devil. Hashtag no Puffy Juice.
01:03:21He even posted a picture of Diddy and Biggie,
01:03:23saying that Biggie died after dancing with the devil too.
01:03:26Then in July 2016, in an interview with the Mad Hatter Morning Show at the Dub Car Show,
01:03:30Fiddy dropped more shade on Diddy, labelling him a sucker.
01:03:32How's Puffy promoting power?
01:03:36Puffy's done. Puffy's a sucker.
01:03:38Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
01:03:40Fiddy would go on to explain that Diddy is doing bad things behind
01:03:43the scenes that people don't even know about, bringing up James Cruise once again.
01:03:46He's doing stuff behind the scenes that you don't even know, because that's what would be
01:03:49agitating. Like James Cruise, people looking at him,
01:03:52he's doing stuff, and they're doing it on his behalf. So he can act like he has no idea what's
01:03:57going on. But it's coming from him.
01:04:00Later that month, Fiddy was on stage in Scottsdale, Arizona, and threw shade at
01:04:04Diddy again, calling him out for having a lack of hit records.
01:04:06Play the last Puffy single. The last Puffy single off his last album.
01:04:13Do anybody in here know what the last Puffy single was?
01:04:19The DJ don't know. The lights didn't work no more.
01:04:24Nobody in the whole nightclub know what the last Puffy single was?
01:04:28Look it up on Google.
01:04:36The month after that in August at VMAs, Sprite Ruiner Future would call out Diddy,
01:04:40labelling him an old b**** for coming backstage with no Chiroque.
01:04:43We got my b**** Chiroque. Damn, we got all this liquor,
01:04:47and y'all want Diddy to come to my room, but this n***a ain't even brought no Chiroque.
01:04:50I don't want this n***a around me, he a old b****.
01:04:5350 Cent would naturally capitalise on this, deciding to comment doing an impression of
01:04:57Future dissing Diddy and busting out laughing.
01:04:59We got my b**** Chiroque. Damn, we got all this liquor,
01:05:02and y'all want Diddy to come to my room, but this n***a ain't even brought no Chiroque.
01:05:05I don't want this n***a around me, he a old b****.
01:05:09It was another bitter summer between 50 and Diddy, but almost like a bear going into a
01:05:13hater hibernation. Into the winter, 50 would appear to leave Diddy alone for the time being,
01:05:17and the no Puffy juice posts would interestingly slow down during this time,
01:05:20with only a few hilarious jabs sent by 50, like one image of Diddy looking like a woman,
01:05:24with the caption, Puff like, I don't care what you say 50, I'm so sick of you messing with me,
01:05:28no matter what. And ultimately the Vodka Wars would seemingly come to a stalemate too in July
01:05:322017, when it was reported that 50 Cent had actually sold his stake in FN Vodka for a
01:05:37rumoured $60 million, after DJ Envy aired the news on the rumour report segment on The Breakfast Club.
01:05:42Now 50 Cent apparently no longer is working with FN Vodka. In case you haven't noticed,
01:05:46he has been posting his hashtags, FN Vodka or FN Mob. Now it turns out, I guess he
01:05:52actually agreed to sell his minority stake and his contract as a lead spokesman.
01:06:22This was seemingly confirmed in an Instagram post where 50 seemed to allude to a $60 million
01:06:28check. However, FN parent company Suntory would deny rumours of the partnership ending,
01:06:33and 50 would make a post seemingly suggesting that he was still working with the brand,
01:06:36but he had just gotten a bag out of the deal. Clearly, 50 was still in the drinks game,
01:06:40as soon after the news broke in August 2017, 50 would appear on the alcoholic interruption
01:06:44fest The Drink Champs, and during the interview, he still seemed to be banging FN hard,
01:06:48and proceeded to once again call out Diddy's Vodka brand Chirac for not actually being Vodka,
01:06:53unlike his new FN Vodka.
01:06:54He would retell the story of Diddy offering to take him shopping.
01:07:24And in this interview, 50 went hard at Diddy, going on to say that Diddy is a fruit pop,
01:07:48who likes to take compromising pictures with other rappers.
01:08:01Even more strange was 50 claiming in his Drink Champs interview that Diddy had actually hooked
01:08:05up with Chris Lighty's wife Veronica, suggesting that they were all into some weird stuff behind
01:08:09closed doors.
01:08:2450 would even go as far as to say that later you're going to find out that everything I'm
01:08:28saying is real. Funnily enough, 50 was right, and in the next few years,
01:08:38the world would finally wake up to the truth about the diddler and his extracurricular activities,
01:08:42which 50 Cent had been trying to warn the world about for a good 20 years at this point,
01:08:46and when revenge finally landed, it would taste as sweet as a cold glass of FN Vodka.
01:09:00Once the Chirac vs FN Vodka wars got put on ice, 50 Cent still would go out of his way to
01:09:04beef with and diss Diddy. One of the biggest and most disrespectful run-ins in this beef would be
01:09:08when 50 appeared on The Breakfast Club at the start of 2018, where Charlamagne would ask him
01:09:12why he always calls Diddy gay, reading a recent post that 50 made going at Diddy, where 50 posted
01:09:17from the hospital saying that he was recovering from pettiness and that his followers will soon
01:09:21be gay and happy, dissing Diddy to say that you're now under the leadership of Puff Daddy,
01:09:25and that you need to report to the nearest rainbow, with 50 denying that he actually
01:09:28called Diddy gay in the post. 50 would go on to say that he was only making fun of Diddy's
01:09:55recent interview on The Drink Champs, where Diddy made sus comments about Fabulous not coming to his
01:09:59parties. Diddy would respond to that in his own interview on The Breakfast
01:10:25Club in the following weeks, confirming that he did indeed offer 50 to go shopping,
01:10:29sideswiping at him saying the only reason he did this is because he looked like he needed new clothes.
01:10:45Diddy went on to say that he has no beef with 50,
01:10:47implying that it's 50 who's actually obsessed with him.
01:11:18Diddy would then say that he doesn't understand what 50's problem is,
01:11:21and saying that they're not cut from the same cloth.
01:11:29Diddy would also say something that I'm not sure anybody believed,
01:11:31that he doesn't think of any other men, and calling 50 a gnat.
01:11:35Diddy ends the segment saying that he doesn't take 50 seriously,
01:11:49and knows that 50 has a sense of humour, and that the jabs are all part of his personality.
01:12:05A few days after this, a clip of Diddy appearing on Watch What Happens live with Andy Cohen
01:12:10circulates, where Diddy addresses his relationship with 50 Cent, and tells him that he believes 50
01:12:14loves him, and that he only disses him because he's insecure.
01:12:35However, Diddy would go on to claim that his relationship with 50 was good at that point,
01:12:43indicating that at this point the beef had truly cooled down.
01:12:53Diddy may well have been spitting facts, as what happened next was an unexpected tragedy
01:12:57that saw things go in a completely different direction.
01:12:59Later in 2018, when Diddy's ex Kim Porter passed away,
01:13:0250 Cent would seemingly set the beef aside for a moment,
01:13:04making a heartfelt tribute on Twitter saying,
01:13:17This would seemingly lead 50 Cent to leave Diddy alone for a while.
01:13:20In fact, for a period of time, 50 would actually even show support for Diddy,
01:13:24posting that he agreed with Diddy's comments about Comcast being racist,
01:13:27amid a discrimination lawsuit against the company.
01:13:29In May 2020, when Southwest Tea from BMF was released,
01:13:3250 made a post saying that Puffy owes him money, and that 50 is ready to collect on his behalf.
01:13:41This seemingly worked as Tea would later post that he had been contacted by Diddy
01:13:44on a positive vibe and that they had handled business,
01:13:47with 50 seemingly taking responsibility for the money landing.
01:13:50Ultimately, things would be getting worse and worse for Diddy, and naturally,
01:13:53Fiddy would be rubbing his hands together like Birdman, ready to gloat and twist the knife.
01:13:57Interestingly, the beef would be reignited in 2021,
01:14:00when it emerged that Diddy was actually dating the mother of one of 50's children, Daphne Joy.
01:14:04On April 2021, 50 reacted to his baby mother Daphne Joy dating Diddy,
01:14:08saying that they fight over business, not girls, and that if he likes her, he doesn't give an F.
01:14:12Funnily enough, the ever-petty 50 Cent would actually end up having his own
01:14:15business connection to Diddy's children.
01:14:17In the summer of 2019, 50 would post that he'd turned up in Miami for his birthday
01:14:21with Diddy's son Justin, posting a video of them at the party and a caption saying,
01:14:24Man, Puffy got some cool ass kids.
01:14:26Yeah, Justin alright man. I don't F with dudes kids.
01:14:28That was Yeo slapping Jimmy's son, a reference to the incident where 50 caught rival executive
01:14:33and drug kingpin Jimmy Henchman's 14-year-old son with Tony Yeo and Lodi Mack, where Henchman's son
01:14:38was actually slapped, an incident that resulted in another attempt on 50's life and the murder
01:14:42of Lodi Mack, which saw Jimmy Henchman convicted and hit with two life sentences.
01:14:46It would seem that perhaps after Justin partied with 50,
01:14:48his father Diddy told him not to associate with the ops, with 50 making another post
01:14:52the following month saying if Puffy doesn't let his son's prince and Justin come out to
01:14:56party with him again, then 50 would be taking Chirac off the party menu.
01:14:59But 50 would do even more to try and connect with Diddy's children as years went by.
01:15:02Two years later, he would end up giving Diddy's adopted son,
01:15:05Quincy, a role in his 2021 TV series Power Book 3 Raising Canaan,
01:15:09something that he would discuss with reference to Diddy on Twitter,
01:15:12saying that he saw his acting tapes and said he's so good that he's gonna stop fighting with Puffy.
01:15:16But 50 would follow up with more jokes about Diddy's relationship with his baby's mother
01:15:19in September 2021, posting a picture of his son with Daphne Sire and a caption reading,
01:15:24Oh, that's your mommy over there with Puffy? LOL. Remember what I told you the other day?
01:15:28These b****** be crazy. Shake my head.
01:15:29This seemingly didn't discourage Daphne from sipping that Puffy juice too,
01:15:32and she would clap back in a comment on the post saying that she never bothers 50 and wants to be
01:15:36left alone. Then in November 2022, she'd publicly wish Diddy a happy birthday, posting a pic of them
01:15:41together and calling him her favourite person. Now 50 Cent seemed genuinely unbothered about
01:15:45the situation, and in an interview a few years later, he would claim that he hadn't kissed
01:15:48Daphne on the mouth for 10 years, so somebody gotta do it. However, it would seem that 50
01:16:03had the last laugh in that situation, but it wouldn't be for a few years until Diddy's downfall
01:16:07truly begun. And while this isn't a video about Diddy's downfall, ultimately it would be one thing
01:16:11after another for the mild mogul. And every time something bad landed for Diddy, Fiddy was waiting
01:16:15in the wings ready to poke fun at it. On October 2023, after the arrest of one of Tupac's alleged
01:16:20killers Keefy D, reports would circulate that Diddy might have been the person who arranged
01:16:23the murder with an alleged $1 million bounty. Reacting to the news with glee, 50 Cent would
01:16:28post the last picture of Tupac with a caption taking aim at Diddy saying damn, so Pac got
01:16:32lined up by brother love lol. Time to lawyer up, this might get sticky. A day later, 50 Cent is on
01:16:37stage and makes even more comments, joking that he doesn't go to Diddy's parties because he doesn't
01:16:41want to get a hug from behind. And he would go on to allude to Diddy being involved in the death
01:16:51of Tupac. Later, when Jada Pinkett Smith was going viral, 50 would do a now iconic post editing her
01:17:02into the final picture of Tupac and saying that Jada was in New York looking for Diddy so she
01:17:06could get back for Pac. It was almost as if 50 knew something big was on the way with Diddy,
01:17:10as only around a month after these skirmishes about the Tupac case, it would be in November
01:17:142023 that Diddy's downfall would truly begin to unfold, as Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassie,
01:17:18whom 50 had mentioned having compromising pictures of in the past, would drop a bombshell lawsuit
01:17:23outlining the horrendous behaviour that Diddy had subjected her to for years.
01:17:26Now this isn't a video about those allegations and I won't be breaking them down here,
01:17:29but she essentially exposed the dark side of Diddy, accusing him of physical and
01:17:33sexual violence as well as detailing the alleged freak offs that she was forced to participate in.
01:17:38Diddy denied the allegations at first, but in a telling change of fortunes,
01:17:42just one day after Cassie's lawsuit was filed, Diddy ended up settling with her,
01:17:45paying out a rumoured 8 figure sum to avoid being exposed even further.
01:17:49In March 2024, footage emerged of a brutal physical assault that Diddy had carried out
01:17:54on Cassie years before, meaning that his post defending himself was pretty much a lie for the
01:17:58whole world to see. It was undeniable that Diddy not only lied about his innocence,
01:18:02but really was the violent monster that people accused him of being. We saw him on the tape.
01:18:0650 Cent would go on to make jokes about this, reposting the image of the beatdown to his
01:18:09Instagram account along with a caption saying,
01:18:11Now I'm sure Puffy didn't do it. He is innocent. This proves nothing. This
01:18:15is what his lawyers are gonna say. God help us all.
01:18:17Now the world knew about Diddy's awful treatment of Cassie, there would be no denying it.
01:18:20And in March 2024, Diddy would take to social media to issue an apology, which is now infamous.
01:18:2550 Cent wasted no time and immediately sprung into his petty ways to provide commentary,
01:18:29posting an image of Diddy's apology, with a caption saying,
01:18:32This is not going to work. Who is advising him right now?
01:18:35Shake my head. Bad.
01:18:36And it didn't take long for 50 to jump into action and begin plans of
01:18:39financially capitalizing on his longest running ops downfall. After Diddy settled his lawsuit
01:18:44with Cassie, news broke that Diddy was stepping down as chairman of his media company Revolt,
01:18:48with 50 Cent seizing the opportunity and publicly offering Diddy to buy Revolt for the low,
01:18:52in a hilarious caption that read, I'll buy that from you playboy. For the low,
01:18:55because you know Cadillac and AT&T gonna pull out. I'll give you a few dollars for it now.
01:18:59Sell it to me, then we can be friends. I'm serious. Call my phone.
01:19:02In December 2023, rumours would spread that 50 Cent was even developing a surviving R. Kelly
01:19:07style documentary on Diddy's downfall, with 50 reposting the news, saying that he is the
01:19:11best producer for the job and that he has got a lot of receipts ready. From here, he would begin
01:19:15a relentless trolling campaign, comparing Diddy to R. Kelly and teasing the title of his upcoming
01:19:20docu-series as being Diddy Do It. And when federal government raided Diddy's home in March 2024,
01:19:2550 took to social media to update the title of the documentary from Diddy Do It to Diddy Done,
01:19:30and saying that the feds don't sweep your homes with this much force unless they really have a
01:19:34case, with the implication being that Diddy had been secretly filming lurid encounters with his
01:19:38celebrity friends, and the feds were sweeping for the tapes. 50 would comment on this theory in
01:19:42brutal fashion, with another post showing the paperwork on the news that Diddy had secret
01:19:46cameras in every room of his house, and had apparently recorded every celebrity encounter
01:19:50at his freak-off parties and beyond, with 50 captioning the post saying,
01:19:54S.M.H. This is gonna be so good. What you wanna bet I'ma get these tapes?
01:19:57I'll pay top dollar for them. You been over there? I don't go to Puffy's parties.
01:20:01And he would go on to make a hilarious tweet that seemed to put Diddy's face on renowned
01:20:04ex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein's face, with a caption saying,
01:20:07Boosie said where the F is his friends? They not saying nothing because they didn't know
01:20:11he was recording everything. LOL. Wait till I get the tapes.
01:20:14Diddy's son King Combs would eventually even drop a diss song on 50 Cent called Pick A Side. Now,
01:20:19the song was as trash as the Combs family, and the track was essentially just Diddy's son throwing
01:20:23a tantrum because saying no Diddy had become viral, and I guess, you know, his dad's Diddy,
01:20:27that sucks, as well as dissing 50 directly, referencing his songs and saying it was the
01:20:31Combses who put New York City on the map, not 50 Cent. I mean, New York had actually been on the
01:20:35map a few hundred years before King Combs was even living inside of Diddy's nutsack, but anyway.
01:20:3950 clapped back in a tweet, joking that he was scared of his life and that he had never mentioned
01:20:43Diddy's kids because Keefie D had killed Tupac. But the story was far from over, and Cassie wasn't
01:20:47the only woman in his orbit who would be dragged into legal trouble, as in April 2024, when even
01:20:52more legal paperwork circulated regarding Diddy's allegations, in a $30 million lawsuit filed by
01:20:57former Diddy employee Lil Rod, the mother of 50 Cent's son Sire, Daphne Joy, was named in the
01:21:02indictment as being a sex worker employed by P. Diddy, more specifically, that she was paid a
01:21:06monthly stipend along with two other women to participate in the freak-offs. As articles
01:21:10circulated detailing the explosive allegations, 50 Cent would add fuel to the fire with a
01:21:15characteristically hilarious reaction, posting an image of himself smoking a cigar in the rain
01:21:19unbothered, with a caption that read, I didn't know you was a sex worker, you lil sex worker lol
01:21:24yo this stuff is like a movie. Now Daphne herself would deny the allegation in a statement, claiming
01:21:28that the S worker accusation was completely false and that she was planning to sue Lil Rod now. But
01:21:3350 wasn't done here, and his next move would be a big one. According to TMZ, 50 Cent actually claimed
01:21:37to have made the decision to seek full custody of his son after Daphne was publicly labelled as a
01:21:42S worker in Lil Rod's lawsuit. Allegedly, following this legal move, Daphne would fly
01:21:46off the handle and take to social media, clapping back at 50 with explosive allegations in an
01:21:50Instagram post where she accused him of having done some of the things that Diddy was accused of,
01:21:54as well as not spending time with his son. It would be the R word allegation that escalated
01:21:58things to a serious new level, and 50 Cent wasn't about to let such a serious Diddy level accusation
01:22:03slide. Firstly, 50 would respond in a statement circulated in the Hollywood Reporter denying the
01:22:07allegations against him, and pointing out that he believed that she had falsely accused him of R
01:22:11in response to his move to seek custody of his son. According to later reporting by TMZ,
01:22:15following the statement, 50's lawyers contacted Daphne demanding a retraction of the allegations,
01:22:20which was met with a refusal and a request for millions of dollars and demands that 50 drop the
01:22:24custody case just in exchange for her taking down those posts, which 50 and his lawyers took to be
01:22:29an extortion attempt. Then, just over a month later, on May 6th 2024, 50 Cent would file a full
01:22:34defamation lawsuit against Daphne Joy for the statement she made online, which 50 Cent denied
01:22:39categorically. In response to this, Daphne would actually delete her statements against 50 from
01:22:43social media, with it later being reported she'd fully dropped the accusation of R word against 50.
01:22:47However, as 50 pointed out, the damage was already done, and according to reports,
01:22:5150's lawsuit claimed that Daphne's defamatory post had garnered over 22,000 likes and had already
01:22:56caused significant damage to his business reputation. According to one article, 50
01:23:00Cent is actually seeking over a million dollars in damages against Daphne for her alleged defamatory
01:23:05statements. Now right now, that's still an outstanding case, but it could well be that
01:23:08Daphne Joy has dug a hole for herself so deep there's no way of getting out, even with Diddy's
01:23:12support. But setting aside the beef with Daphne, 50 Cent's decades-long beef with Diddy was finally
01:23:17coming to a conclusion, which was nothing but W's for 50 Cent. In May 2024, it was reported that
01:23:21Netflix had won a bidding war for 50 Cent's docuseries about Diddy, Diddy Do It. Interestingly,
01:23:26the last piece of the puzzle was a final chapter in the Vodka Wars that truly brought the Chirac
01:23:30era to an end. In June 2023, before the full allegations dropped, Diddy would accuse Chirac
01:23:34owner Diageo of racism, claiming the company failed to make promised investments in his brands,
01:23:39essentially saying Diageo claimed that the distribution for Diddy's drinks brands were
01:23:42limited to urban areas. But then in January 2024, after the allegations, Diddy dropped his racism
01:23:47lawsuit against Chirac parent company Diageo, with it being reported that Diddy withdrew all
01:23:51claims of racism and that Diageo and Diddy's business partnership was completely over,
01:23:55likely with Diddy's legal problems putting him in an awful position to negotiate or accuse others
01:24:00of wrongdoing. After Diddy's downfall, rumours would circulate that Chirac was actually looking
01:24:04to replace Diddy with 50 Cent as their new brand ambassador, and rumours circulated that a $100
01:24:08million deal was on the table for 50 Cent to potentially step into Diddy's shoes as the
01:24:13main spokesman for Chirac. However, this would seemingly turn out to be just a rumour, with 50
01:24:17Cent issuing a denial explaining why he would never work with Chirac, saying, I own my brands,
01:24:21I wouldn't be an ambassador for Chirac, I haven't seen anybody drinking that stuff lately,
01:24:25it's over lol. 50 made an interesting post on the topic in June 2024, discussing how racism
01:24:30played a role in the quality of the deals that Diddy got with Diageo for Chirac and Suntory
01:24:34with Ethan. But regardless of how Diddy was treated, the Chirac era was truly over and
01:24:38Diddy ultimately wound up with no ownership in the brand that he had made famous. Surely,
01:24:4250 would have been ecstatic at how things played out, and from here, he continued to poke at Diddy
01:24:46any opportunity that he got. On the 11th of June, 50 turned up to an apparent roast of Diddy,
01:24:51where the proceeds of the event were set to go to his victims, with 50 making a post saying that
01:24:54he thought Diddy might come and that he was ready with the shooters, by which he means
01:24:58videographers of course. The most recent shade dropped by 50 came on July 13th, as 50 Cent had
01:25:03recently announced his new G-Unit production studios in Shreveport, and he would joke that
01:25:07Diddy would be joining them in Shreveport before laughing and saying that if Diddy comes to the
01:25:10party, people will be waking up with sore butts. In the end, 50 Cent had the last laugh, and well,
01:25:34there were a lot of laughs, and when Diddy Do It finally drops on Netflix, I have no doubt that 50
01:25:38will be laughing all the way to the bank. When it comes to the chess game of the rap industry,
01:25:42there's few people you could point to as being as cold and calculated as 50 Cent. This wound up
01:25:46being a wild story and just proved once and for all that 50 Cent is pretty much unkillable,
01:25:50both physically and spiritually. It's looking like Diddy's downfall is potentially only just
01:25:55the beginning. Perhaps he will truly face justice for his alleged role in the Tupac murder, as well
01:25:59as his other allegations relating to his relationships with both women and men. Or,
01:26:03perhaps he's rich and connected enough to find a way out of ever facing the music. But one thing
01:26:07is for sure, no matter what happens, 50 Cent will be there with a smile on his face.
