00:00Gary, congratulations on a fantastic performance to win the Stoneman Rally for the first time in your career, how did you find it?

00:07Yeah, challenging day but very very rewarding and delighted to be on the top step of the podium.

00:12Credit to the organisers for putting on a great event and yeah, just had a really really good day.

00:17From the very start you were well in front of the field, were you aware of that at all?

00:21Yeah, you know, we get insights throughout the day, you know, at times and stuff like that, we can see what the previous car's done

00:27so we had a good idea that we were on a good pace but to be honest with you this morning I was probably a bit sloppy myself

00:32and I picked up a puncture this afternoon, so pretty tricky afternoon but yeah, I think we got five out of six stage wins

00:38so absolutely delighted with that.

00:40Did that affect your mindset in the closing stages, did you take it easier than you would have usually?

00:45Yeah, I think, you know, the last one we tried to be very very sensible and not make any mistakes and just bring it home, you know,

00:50but yeah, before that, you know, it was very much just try and enjoy it and, you know, thoroughly enjoyed it, so happy.

00:56How would you rank this win in your career so far?

00:58You know, probably up there, you know, it's definitely good to do but I'm definitely hoping to do a few more rally wins in my time

01:04so yeah, hopefully this is just a wee step in slow.

01:06And you've got the British Championship next weekend as well, how are you going into that?

01:11Yeah, okay, yeah, we're sixth in the Championship just now but we'd like to try and build on that and try and get up

01:15and I think we've got a good opportunity to finish as high as third overall in the British Championship

01:19so hopefully we can do that, you know, we were second last year so down to Wales for that on Thursday actually

01:25so hopefully we can try and pick it up and do well there as well.

01:28And the Snowmen's usually in March, it will be March next year, are you coming back in six months' time to defend your title?

01:32Well, you never know, it could be a good warm-up for the British Championship but yeah, great stages and credit to the organisers as well.
