Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Jakarta on Saturday (Oct 19) evening, ready to witness the swearing-in of Prabowo Subianto as Indonesia’s new president on Sunday.

Anwar will join 20 foreign heads of state and other representatives at the inauguration, to be held at the People’s Consultative Assembly building.

00:13Anwar's special aircraft touched down at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport in East Jakarta at 6 p.m. local time.
00:20Upon arrival, he was received by the Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia,
00:25Datuk Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tenku Husin, and Indonesian Investment Minister, Rozan Roslani.
00:32Anwar was given a red carpet welcoming ceremony and received a guard of honour
00:38mounted by the Indonesian Armed Forces at the airport as the national anthems were played.
