00:00Hey what's up everybody and welcome back to another video. Today's going to be Lenny Kravitz
00:18I'll Be Waiting. If you like the video I'd really really really appreciate it if you
00:24hit that like button and subscribe down below. Lenny Kravitz I'll Be Waiting. Stick around.
00:31My guitar I think is tuned down a half step and I want to say that I would assume this
00:36song is tuned in standards. Basically like you're going to be barring the fifth fret
00:41on the D and the G. When you pick it you hammer on to the 7 on the G. So it's like the fifth
00:48fret on the D and the G. So it's like basically you could just start with the 7th on the G
00:57but you're kind of going 5-5 to 5-7. 5-5 to 5-7. So it's like. So not a big deal you could
01:07just go. But you kind of hit it. Anyways whatever. So yeah 5-5 to 5-7. So basically you hammer
01:16on to the 7. So it's basically 5-5, 5-7, then 5-5, 5-7, 5-5, 5-7. So because all you're doing is.
01:32And then that's where I'm the one that really loves you baby. I can't take it anymore. Sorry I don't know the lyrics.
01:43But that part. And then you go into. So that's basically riff wise. That's lick wise. Riff and lick. Whatever. I think I should look the difference up.
01:54Yeah so like lick wise that's the only part that I'm showing basically. And then it'll go into the chords.
02:01So here the chords. Then you after. What leads into the chorus is. What's this? An F.
02:08Wow that doesn't sound right. That sounds a little out of tune.
02:18So you kind of linger on that F which is an 8. It's like an F power chord. You don't have to get into too much more than a power chord I guess.
02:278 on the A, 10 on the D.
02:33So after.
02:42And then the chorus comes in. Which is.
02:57Which I do love that chord progression for some reason. It's a very. When it comes in. I always like this song for some reason.
03:20Yeah so what it is is a D. Again these can be all power chords. I mean I don't know if he's doing power chords or full chords. It doesn't depend I guess.
03:29Like a D. You can do a D here. But I mean I wouldn't do an open D. Just throw power chords in. It sounds cool enough with power chords.
03:36Yeah so 5-7 or 5-7-7. If you want to do the 3 string power chord or the 2 string power chord.
03:44All the 3 string is is the root note again. The octave of the root note. So it's not that big of a deal.
03:49Okay so anyways. D four times.
03:55And then D sharp or E flat. Which is 6-8 four times.
04:03And then you can go up here. A sharp. Or I guess you can go here A sharp. Or B flat. A sharp B flat. Whatever.
04:12Yeah so you can go here. It's kind of closer. But I was doing over here. 1-3. Or it could be 8-6.
04:20Because you are going. You could just go up. I guess that would probably be easier.
04:24Either way. A sharp. I was doing the 1-3. So A sharp 8 times.
04:281-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
04:31D D D D D sharp sharp sharp sharp.
04:35A sharp sharp sharp sharp sharp sharp.
04:38D D D four times.
04:42And then the second time through it's again D D D D A sharp. I mean D sharp.
04:49A flat flat flat. A flat four times into an F.
04:53Which is just go up. Like you could just go up here.
04:56Go up to the root on the low E. 1-3. 1-3-3 or 1-3. It doesn't matter.
05:05So again that's 4 times here. 4 times here. 8 times here.
05:114 times here. 4 times here. 4 times here. And then 4 times here.
05:17Pretty much. I mean of course I think there's a solo.
05:20They do this song pretty good. I've heard live versions on YouTube.
05:25I forget what his guitarist. With Lenny Kara's guitarist name.
05:28The guy with a lot of hair. Like the long curly. Like the fro kind of.
05:34Yeah. I forget what his name is. I think he's been with him for a long time.
05:37But yeah. He does a pretty good rendition of this in a live version I did see.
05:43He throws in a lot of embellishments on the chords.
05:47But I just made it. Obviously because I can't do it. I just made it simple.
05:52So those are the chords of the song. And I didn't need to say all that.
05:55So that was I'll Be Waiting by Lenny Krab.
05:58Okay. So that'll do it for another video. Until next time. See you later.
06:03Gadoosh.
06:07you
