00:00The MMDA, LGUs, PNPs, and others are preparing for the proper maintenance of the road this year.

00:07This is the story of Rod Lagusan.

00:11Two weeks before the road was repaired, the MMDA asked various LGUs,

00:16police, and other agencies to ensure that it will be properly maintained.

00:21This includes the coordination of the Traffic Management and Parking Plan

00:25due to the expected increase in the number of people in the cemeteries in Metro Manila,

00:29even the maintenance of bus terminals, roads, and sidewalks due to the province's homecoming.

00:35By next week, all of the concerns of our LGUs will be addressed definitely.

00:41So, maybe before Friday next week, which is I think October 25,

00:48the immediate coordination between LGUs, between different departments, and MMDA will be discussed.

00:56We, together with LGUs and DOH, will set up command posts and help desks

01:05in the terminals for public assistance and medical assistance.

01:10Areas of concern of MMDA are bus terminals in Caloocan, Pasay, Manila, Cubao, Quezon City, and Pitex.

01:17MMDA will also focus on Manila North Cemetery, Manila South Cemetery, Bagbag Public Cemetery,

01:24Loyola Memorial Park, and San Juan Public Cemetery,

01:26as well as other places like Columbarium on Araneta Avenue.

01:30According to MMDA, more than 1,200 personnel were deployed from October 27 to November 4.

01:37It is also prohibited to leave and take a day off while there is an overtime until midnight in Undas.

01:43MMDA's help here is the LGUs and TNPs' assistance in guarding the cemeteries.

01:48We are currently in a continuous clearing operation for the obstructions leading to and from the cemeteries.

01:56The illegal park vehicles leading to cemeteries, that is what we will be guarding now.

02:01So that by the time of 31, 1, and 2, there will be no obstructions.

02:06And we will coordinate with the local government.

02:08When it comes to the possible use of candidates in Undas for campaigns,

02:12First of all, I believe that our politicians still have a sense of decency

02:22that they will not neglect the occasion of Undas

02:27that it is to show our pride, our pride.

02:36MMDA also provided that there will be no obstructions to the cemeteries.
