In tabling Budget 2025 at the Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 18), Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced a tax relief of up to RM7,000 for the purchase of residential properties priced up to RM500,000, as part of efforts to encourage home ownership.

00:00SGKP has issued 12.8 billion ringgit government bonds to more than 57,000 first home buyers.
00:11This has been carried out and the government continues to make efforts to ensure a more humane PPR environment.
00:20Low-cost homes and public facilities in the country have been replaced with 200 million ringgit.
00:30Public parks, recreation, landscapes, including in small towns, have been given 100 million ringgit.
00:41This includes new villages in China, 84 million ringgit.
00:45And also, the KPKT will increase efforts to strengthen the ownership of the first home.
00:53And the government has proposed to issue individual loans up to 7,000 ringgit
01:00on the payment of house loan benefits as follows.
01:04Individual loans up to 7,000 ringgit on the payment of house loan benefits up to 500,000 ringgit.
01:11Individual loans up to 5,000 ringgit on the payment of house loan benefits up to 750,000 ringgit.
