00:00I'm really pleased to be able to come and celebrate Dundee Island's 150 year anniversary.
00:19My grandfather, William Roberts, taught here between 1910 and 1932 and I know there's hundreds
00:26of people all over the New England who have got the same sort of connection. I just wanted
00:30to be here to say happy 150 years. It's a really proud achievement for one of Australia's
00:35first public schools.
00:37It's a great milestone for our school, 150 years of education in the valley and going
01:02through the history and learning about the different educators, seeing some descendants
01:07of the ex-students and I actually went around to see some of the sites of the old schools
01:14in the valley. So for me it is a great milestone and I'm very proud of it.
