00:00Those who popped into the Northern Quarter over the last couple of days may very well feel transported back in time and across the oceans with Dale Street taking on the style of the 1800s New York.
00:09That's due to filming going on in the city for the new project from the creators of Peaky Blinders.
00:13That project is House of Guinness and it's based around exactly what you'd guess, the family responsible for everybody's favourite black nectar.
00:19The show stars James Norton, Jack Gleeson and Louis Partridge who were spotted a few months ago with his beau Olivier Rodrigo on the streets of Manchester.
00:27It's worth noting that the reason the Northern Quarter in particular is used so often for filming is due to its block layout being similar to that of New York where the show is based and other American cities.
00:36In recent months we've also seen stars like Sean Bean spotted filming there with autograph hunters likely to make the most bang for their buck around Stevenson Square.
00:43With Manchester now one of the country's premier locations for films and TV shows, particularly with the BBC and ITV operating so close,
00:50there's every likelihood that the appearance of Norton, Partridge, Gleeson and Bean is only the start of stars who are set to be charmed by the city of Manchester.
