00:00So I'm Katie, I'm a social prescriber working for the Portsmouth North PCN.
00:05And I'm Matt, I'm also a social prescriber working for the Portsmouth North PCN.
00:09Brilliant, tell me where we are and what we're doing here today.
00:12So here we are at the Caution Baptist Church, we've got a health and wellness
00:18information fair going on today, it's become an annual fair actually, so we've got a really
00:25wide variety of groups and services that have come here today to kind of showcase what they
00:30offer the local community. We've got mainly low cost or free services so it's more accessible
00:40and yeah that's what everyone's gathered here today for.
00:42Tell us what the reaction's been like.
00:45So far the feedback we've had has been really positive, a nice variety of services so that's
00:51gone down well, we've had some talks going on at the same time which have gone down well.
00:56I think we might have a couple of pictures as well of that and
01:00yeah it's just generally been really well received and hopefully it's been,
01:04you know we haven't gone through room two in depth yet so hopefully it's been beneficial as well.
01:09Absolutely.
01:10So tell me why it's important to put on events like this.
01:14So we find in our practice that one in five GP appointments
01:18are actually for things that a GP can't necessarily help with and so that's part of my
01:25maths job roles are guiding people to things that are out in the community and so we've got
01:30everybody here today to kind of showcase that so people can take a look around and see what's
01:34available for themselves. I think it's also really important that it's more face-to-face
01:39rather than just over the phone so they can actually engage with those services one-to-one.
