00:00Electric cars are becoming faster and better year over year.
00:05Even though electric cars are still a small share of current new cars being manufactured,
00:10this is going to change very soon.
00:13Check out these electric cars that are going to be game changer in the next few years.
00:19Sony Vision S
00:22From safety and operability to experiences including entertainment,
00:26Sony's Vision S will redefine the future of transportation.
00:30After establishing a Sony Mobility subsidiary in the spring,
00:35the company is expected to produce and market an electric car.
00:39As part of the CES 2022 show in Las Vegas,
00:43Sony unveiled a concept SUV called the Sony Vision S.
00:48Sony's revelation might place the firm ahead of Apple,
00:52Google's parent alphabet, and Baidu, the Chinese search company,
00:56in the race for the automobile market.
00:59Like the two Vision S prototypes, few would be shocked the final vehicle
01:03included some sort of semi-autonomous or perhaps totally hands-free driving capabilities.
01:09To keep up with technology, a vehicle built after 2023 would need
01:13Level 3 which entails extended hands-off driving.
01:17Unfortunately, Sony has not revealed any details on the Vision S concept car,
01:22from the range to the battery capacity or even the trim levels.
01:26However, the finished product is expected to cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $120,000.
01:34Honda Prologue
01:36Honda is about to enter a new age of electric automobiles,
01:40and it all begins with the 2024 Honda Prologue SUV,
01:44a totally electric vehicle that offers adaptability
01:47and a driving range on par with the company's current SUV portfolio.
01:51Prologue, a new electric car from Honda, will be unveiled for the 2024 model year
01:57as a result of a new relationship with General Motors.
02:00And although Honda hasn't revealed much about the car,
02:03it's assumed that the Prologue will be a compact to midsize SUV.
02:08If the Lyric's 100kWh battery is used in the Prologue,
02:12then a 300 mile range is to be expected.
02:15Even though GM will design the base and powertrains,
02:18Honda will build the Prologue's body and interior.
02:21The Acura luxury brand is likely to provide a Prologue variant as well,
02:25although no specifications have been announced as of this writing.
02:30The Prologue's pricing and trim levels haven't been revealed by Honda yet,
02:33but we estimate the new model will begin at $45,000 and rise from there.
02:38Tesla Cybertruck
02:41The Tesla Cybertruck may appear like it was delivered by extraterrestrials,
02:46but its technological prowess rivals even the most popular pickup trucks on the market.
02:51Tesla's Cybertruck will have a robust body
02:53constructed of scratch- and dent-resistant stainless steel.
02:58A towing capacity of 14,000 pounds is possible with the Cybertruck,
03:02which also has optional all-wheel drive
03:04and an anticipated driving range of more than 100,000 miles.
03:08A 250-kilowatt charging cable will be standard on all models.
03:13Of course, Tesla's extensive network of superchargers will be available to it as well.
03:19The driving range varies depending on the number of motors,
03:22but Tesla claims that a single motor can go 250 miles or more,
03:26dual motors can travel 300 miles or more,
03:29and the top-tier tri-motor system can travel more than 500 miles on a single charge.
03:34According to how many electric motors they have,
03:37three distinct trims will be available for the Cybertruck.
03:40The most affordable model will start at $39,900.
03:45Kia EV9
03:48According to a press release posted on Kia's website,
03:51the EV9 SUV will go into production in Europe in 2023,
03:55making it the first market to get it.
03:58The EV9 concept is a three-row all-wheel drive,
04:02concept is a three-row all-electric SUV that is around the same size and shape
04:07as the Kia Telluride in terms of overall size and shape.
04:11Given that the Hyundai IONIQ 7 was also launched last year,
04:15we were previously aware that it would share many characteristics with this vehicle.
04:20In addition, the Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5 are both constructed on an enlarged version of the
04:26E-GMP platform, which will be utilized in both Kia and Hyundai's big electric SUVs in the near future.
04:33As reported by Kia, the electric vehicle EV9 will have a maximum charging rate of 350 kW
04:40and a range that is upwards of 300 miles from a single charge.
04:44At this moment, we can only speculate, but we anticipate the U.S.
04:48version will be ready in 2024 and will have a starting price of around $50,000.
04:53Ford Mustang Mach-E
04:58Ford's first all-electric SUV, the Mustang Mach-E is one of the most
05:03significant vehicles in a generation for the company.
05:07The 346 bhp all-wheel drive variant can reach 62 mph in only 5.8 seconds,
05:14making it one of the quickest cars in its caliber. Well, 5.8 seconds is not too shabby.
05:20The 68 kWh standard range battery options are available for either rear or four-wheel drive
05:26configurations. The first one has a range of 273 miles while the second configuration type
05:33has a range of 243 miles. You'll get more miles on a single charge if you upgrade to the 88 kWh
05:40extended range automobiles, which have a stated range of 335 miles for the AWD 1st edition SUV
05:47and 379 miles for the RWD model. This car is just as capable as either the Polestar 2 or
05:54Jaguar I-Pace for those looking for a vehicle with a little oomph. Simple, it's fun to drive
06:00even for an electric car. The Mach-E is an exotic, well-priced vehicle that delivers
06:06excellent handling and a comprehensive range of standard features for roughly $43,000.
06:11Hyundai IONIQ 7
06:15The 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 7 concept is described as a living place on wheels,
06:21which is precisely what the all-electric SUV looks like. As with the IONIQ 5 and a slew of
06:28other planned Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles, the 7 will ride on the company's new cross-brand
06:33e-GMP platform. The 7 concept car has a futuristic exterior with innovative lighting components,
06:40shape-shifting wheels, and glass panels on the roof and back.
06:44Hyundai wants the IONIQ 7 to have a driving range of more than 300 miles,
06:49thus we expect it to have a large, usable battery capacity. With a 350 kW fast charger,
06:56the battery of the 7 can be charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes, according to the firm.
07:02With electric vehicles projected to become increasingly common in the next years,
07:06we wouldn't be shocked if their price converged with that of their gas-powered counterparts.
07:12This means that the IONIQ 7 in 2024 might start at roughly $50,000,
07:17which is now the highest end of the Palisade lineup as a starting point.
07:22Faraday Future FF91
07:26Faraday's first production car and flagship model is the FF91. It epitomizes the newest
07:33mobility innovations in performance, intelligence, and user experience by being all-electric,
07:38autonomous-ready, and seamlessly linked. For this reason, Faraday gave the FF91 a futuristic
07:46look that makes it stand out from the crowd. The FF91's specs haven't changed since it was
07:51unveiled in 2017. A total of 1,050 horsepower is provided by three electric motors, two in
07:59the back and one in the front. The crossover, which is 206.9 inches long and hence slightly
08:06shorter than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class for 2022, will have a 0-60mph pace in under 2.4 seconds,
08:13according to Faraday Future. Faraday Future claims a 378-mile range on the EPA test cycle
08:20with a 130kWh battery pack. The FF91 is estimated to cost six figures if it goes into production by
08:27the end of the year, placing it in direct rivalry with the Tesla Model X and Lucid Motors Air.
08:34The top-of-the-line FF91 Futurist Alliance model will cost more than $200,000
08:40and will be restricted to 300 cars only. Tesla Roadster
08:46Tesla's first electric vehicle, the Roadster, was essential in establishing the company's
08:51reputation even if most of the company's current consumers are unaware of it.
08:56The new Roadster was meant to come in 2021, but it hasn't arrived yet,
09:00leading us to believe it has been postponed until further notice.
09:05Musk stated that the new Tesla Roadster concept could accelerate from 0-60mph in 1.9 seconds,
09:12reach a top speed of more than 220mph, and finish the quarter-mile in 8.8 seconds
09:18after introducing the vehicle in November 2017. According to these figures, if the Roadster's
09:23top speed of 60mph remains constant, it will be a full second faster than its major competitor,
09:30the gasoline-powered McLaren 570S. Despite the fact that the 200kWh battery is claimed
09:37to have a range of up to 620 miles, a few laps around a racetrack will almost certainly
09:42considerably diminish that statistic. As reported by Tesla, the regular Roadster
09:48will cost $200,000, with the Founder Series adding $50,000 to the cost of the vehicle.
