00:04Isang selebrasyon na naglalayong mas palalimin ang ating pagunawa at pagpapahalaga sa kultura at sining ng ating bansa.

00:18ang head ng Committee on Art Galleries ng NCCA,
00:22upang talakay ng mga proyekto at aktividad na inihanda at inilatag nila ngayong buwan.

00:39Anyway, ma'am, bakit po mahalaga ang Museums and Galleries Month
00:44sa pagpapakilala ng kultura at kasaysayan ng Pilipinas sa mga kabataan?
00:49Ano po yung focus ng selebrasyon for this year?
00:53Actually, taon-taon natin itong sineselebra
00:56dahil magmula noong 1991 na proclaimed 798,
01:03ang kahalagahan nito ay para magkaroon tayo ng national consciousness
01:08ang mga bata at lahat ng Pilipino tungkol sa ating nakaraan,
01:14ano tayo ngayon, at ano ang gusto nating gawin sa mga susunod na pagpapanahon.
01:19Importante na sineselebra ito taon-taon
01:23kasi alam mo naman, madali tayo makalimot
01:26at marami tayong mga influences from here and there
01:34na kailangan nating ma-remind every time kung sino tayo as Pilipino.
01:41So this year, ang ating theme is honoring traditions and fostering innovations.
01:52Ma'am Tess, ano naman po yung mga projects or yung mga activities na naka-line up?
01:56Kasi ito ay nationwide.
01:58Vison, Visayas, and Mindanao sa mga galleries po and museum, Ma'am Tess.
02:05Sobrang daming aktividades, activities na available for everybody to take advantage of.
02:12Dito sa NCR, nakatapos lang namin ng National Art Fair called Manila Art.
02:19Nakatapos lang din ng ating Mindanao Art.
02:22Visayas Art Fair is coming soon.
02:25And Central Luzon.
02:26Pero sa mga museums, lahat po ng museums natin ay
02:30State Museums ay libre para sa lahat nang gusto magpunta.
02:36Meron pa rin tayong mga satellite shows that they can enjoy.
02:40And there are a lot of activities inside the museums.
02:46Immersive activities, AI, AR, mga games na bago.
02:52Para lang ma-engage sila at pumasok at ma-engage.
02:57Uy, maganda yun. Nakikiayo na rin tayo sa modernong panahon.
03:01May mga AI na rin, no?
03:03Oo naman. Oo naman.
03:05Kasi inevitable na yan. Nakailangan nating i-embrace ang technology.
03:09So, paano ba ito makakatulong sa atin to embrace more people and the young ones?
03:15So, maraming maraming din yan na ginagawa tayo.
03:18Like, for example, meron tayong mga painting na kapag inamit mo yung
03:22cellphone mo, gumabelaw siya.
03:25Meron mga gano'ng classic.
03:30Well, Ma'am Tess, ano?
03:31Opo. Ma'am Tess, kasi nung panahon namin,
03:35para makapunta ka sa isang art museum, minsan
03:37abangan mo yung field trip, eh.
03:39Yung mga kabataan po ba ngayon?
03:41Yung kanilang interest sa arts, sa culture,
03:46malawak pa po ba o kailangan pa natin na talagang
03:49i-remind them na bigyan ng importansya ito?
03:53Kailangan pa rin natin.
03:54Pero nakikita ko talaga dito sa National Art Fair kasi
04:00what we do, we ask the public school students to
04:05to have a tour sa aming gallery sa art fair, no?
04:08Tapos, ini-introduce namin sila doon sa mga artworks,
04:13give them the briefing, ano, may natutunan ba sila.
04:17At so far, meron ako mga studyanteng pumapasok sa
04:21mga galleries, nakikita ko yan, dito sa Taguig.
04:25So hopefully in other places, ganun din ang nangyayani.
04:29But one good thing that is happening is that we have
04:34national museums in far-flung provinces now.
04:40We have one in Cebu.
04:42We have one opening in Mindanao.
04:46And soon, there will be a community museum also,
04:51and in Lake Cebu, and in Sok Sarje, Pura Natal.
04:55Ma'am Tess, mayroon din po bang mga bagong exhibits
04:59o display na dapat abangan yung publiko?
05:02May mga bago po bang makikita diyan?
05:06Marami. It's the whole month of October.
05:09So what they just need to do is follow the Facebook
05:13and websites of the national museums.
05:16The galleries are open also for the whole month.
05:20May exhibitions pa rin na pwede nilang puntahan ng libre.
05:25Just follow National Museum, NCCA,
05:29and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

05:36bukod po sa mga exhibits, may mga workshop po ba?
05:39Or lecture series din na pwedeng salihan yung mga art enthusiasts?
05:45Of course. Aside from the visits of art exhibitions,
05:51mayroon tayo mga workshops happening sa LGU,
05:55sa Western Visayas, mayroon tayo yung mga workshop
06:01with the teachers, with the employees, with the tour guides.
06:05Ang dami eh.
06:08The list is so long that if they need to drop by and go check the website.
06:15Pero ito ay para sa matutunan nila,
06:19pigyan ng pagkakatuan para magkaroon ng learning pa sa kanilang community.
06:26Alright, Ma'am. Last na lang po, message po to invite and to encourage
06:30our mga ka-RSP po to appreciate art and culture. Go ahead, Ma'am.

06:51Libri po ito for the month of October. We have a lot of activities in store for you
06:56about art making, about workshops,
07:01about history writing, about history, learning history. There's so much more.
07:08Because ang ating theme ngayon, honoring traditions
07:13and fostering innovation so that kailangan nating malaman
07:18anong nangyari noong araw, anong nangyayari ngayon,
07:22and what is the new world giving us now.
07:25So that we can all together be conscious of what is going to happen
07:32about ourselves and our country, and unify also.
