00:0066 Senatorial Spirals are possible to be included in the ballot in the election of 2025

00:14after the initial investigation of Comelec.

00:17Among them is Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who was immediately denied the petition to disqualify.

00:35Comelec and Bank accepted the recommendation of their law department

00:40for the 66 Senatorial Spirals that passed their investigation

00:45and are possible to be included in the ballot in the upcoming election.

00:48This is a mix of individuals, possibly incumbent, possibly independent.

00:54There are political parties, but they are not that well-known.

00:57Labor leaders, lawyers, doctors, we included all of them

01:05Our determination is based on the assessment of the law department

01:09whether they have a political party or they are independent candidates.

01:13That is not the basis of including them.

01:18Of the 183 who obtained the Certificate of Candidacy or COC as a Senator,

01:23117 are not included in the list and Comelec will issue a petition

01:29to declare a nuisance.

01:32There are 24 petitions filed by the law department on the Senatorial Aspirants.

01:40The due process is still needed.

01:42The 117 out of the 183 Senatorial Aspirants

01:50will be able to explain why they should not be declared as nuisance candidates.

01:56Therefore, this 66 is a partial list of those who can be included in the ballot.

02:02As of now, Pastor Apollo Q. Buloy is on the list of those who are currently imprisoned and facing charges.

02:10Currently, Workers and Peasants Party or WPP is also facing charges

02:15for giving him a CONA or Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance.

02:20Senatorial Aspirant Sani Matula is canceling Q. Buloy's CONA

02:25which was issued without authorization.

02:28She also wants to disqualify Q. Buloy.

02:31But Attorney Mark Christopher Tolentino,

02:35the political spokesperson of Q. Buloy,

02:37filed a petition to declare Matula and some others as nuisance candidates

02:41and to cancel their COC and CONA.

02:44The WPP President, Matula and Tolentino, also met.

02:49According to Comelec, 80 petitions were filed by Comelec

02:53for the declaration of nuisance candidates in a local position.
