We visited this popular pumpkin picking patch to see what it offers for Sussex families – from pumpkin picking, trailer rides, crafts, food and more

00:00Hello, I'm Caroline Harriot and I am lucky enough to be at Sompton Pumpkins.

00:05I'm otherwise known as Farmer Caroline and we've got 12 acres of 25 different

00:11varieties of pumpkins, squashes and gourds and we're open from this weekend,

00:16next weekend and all through half-term. We've got crafts, we've got face painting,

00:22we've got lovely food and drinks but most importantly we've got some

00:26fantastic pumpkins and different varieties. This year we've got a lovely

00:31yellow one called Mellow Yellow and we're really looking forward to people

00:34enjoying carving, enjoying decorating but then enjoying eating them because

00:39they're so nutritious and so delicious. So we've got lots of lovely new recipes

00:43for you this year and a charity chariot ride to tell you all about farming.
