00:17On a recent episode of the Call It What It Is podcast, co-hosted by Capshaw and Camilla
00:21Lettington, Drew said,
00:23"...we were unceremoniously let go in a way that felt mean and unjust,
00:27and because of that, the outpouring of love was so enormous,
00:30it was like you were sitting there watching people eulogize you."
00:33However, shortly after her exit, Grey's Anatomy's short-form series B-Team,
00:37which Drew directed, scored an Emmy nomination,
00:40which the actress notes helped her regain confidence and a profound affirmation of her talents.
00:45In a previous interview with Vulture, she did, however,
00:48liken her experience celebrating the Emmy nom after exiting the show to,
00:51quote,
00:52"...attending my own funeral."
00:53She also previously told THR that the reason for her firing was
00:57because the show had too many characters,
00:59and that they needed to downsize because they couldn't service all of the characters effectively.
