00:46But even yesterday, the deadline for the downgrading of the visa

00:50according to the Bureau of Immigration,

00:52less than half of the FOGO workers voluntarily changed their temporary visitor visa.

00:59According to the NBI, the FOGO foreign workers who voluntarily downgraded their visa

01:02will be given time to finish any pending business in the Philippines.

01:07They automatically get 59 days to wind down their affairs.

01:11If they have legitimate reasons to go back to the country,

01:14for example, those with families here already,

01:17those who want to apply on other sectors legitimately.

01:22Those who do not voluntarily downgrade their visa

01:25will automatically be denied the order to leave that is recorded in their passport.

01:30This means that they will have to leave the country at an earlier date.

01:34Even if it is not a permanent derogatory record

01:37that is recorded in the passport of a foreigner

01:40and can be a barrier for them to return to the country.

01:43If the immigration officers see that,

01:45there will be more scrutiny against them

01:51because they stayed here for a long time without legally downgrading their visas.

02:01will be arrested for deportation and blacklisting.
