00:00Even yesterday, the deadline is still less than half.
00:03The foreign employees of FOGO voluntarily downgraded their working visa
00:08as part of the process of FOGO leaving the country.
00:11According to the Bureau of Immigration, if they reach January here in the Philippines,
00:16they will be arrested and blacklisted.
00:19Witness, this is Danoting Cunco.
00:21The 17 foreigners arrested by the NBI in Makati
00:29because of Omanai Scam, Operations and Hacking
00:32came from a bigger FOGO.
00:34According to the NBI, the foreigners said that they are already in the process of downgrading their working visa.
00:40The downgrading of the visa is part of the process that the foreign employees of FOGO should go through.
00:46But even yesterday, the deadline for the downgrading of the visa
00:50according to the Bureau of Immigration,
00:52less than half of the FOGO workers voluntarily changed their temporary visitor visa.
00:59According to the NBI, the FOGO foreign workers who voluntarily downgraded their visa
01:02will be given time to finish any pending business in the Philippines.
01:07They automatically get 59 days to wind down their affairs.
01:11If they have legitimate reasons to go back to the country,
01:14for example, those with families here already,
01:17those who want to apply on other sectors legitimately.
01:22Those who do not voluntarily downgrade their visa
01:25will automatically be denied the order to leave that is recorded in their passport.
01:30This means that they will have to leave the country at an earlier date.
01:34Even if it is not a permanent derogatory record
01:37that is recorded in the passport of a foreigner
01:40and can be a barrier for them to return to the country.
01:43If the immigration officers see that,
01:45there will be more scrutiny against them
01:47because that is what we consider a red flag
01:51because they stayed here for a long time without legally downgrading their visas.
01:58By January, those who stayed in the country
02:01will be arrested for deportation and blacklisting.
02:04After the year ends, all of that is considered illegal,
02:08whether they filed for downgrading,
02:12whether they did not file for it,
02:15as long as they remain inside the country.
02:18President Marcos ordered the ban of the state of the nation address this July
02:23due to various crimes committed against POGOs
02:25such as POGOs in Bamban, Tarlac and Porac, Pampanga.
02:29In POGO in Bamban, one of the victims of human trafficking
02:33is Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
02:35The bail petition of the former mayor is now being heard by other accused.
02:40Guo attended the hearing and was accused through a video conference
02:44in front of an official of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission or PAOC.
02:49To give an overview of how the act of qualified trafficking was committed
02:55inside the compound of POW.
02:57In the PLO, we are not required, we may not present our own evidence.
03:01That is a burden of the prosecution.
03:04The hearing will continue on October 22.
03:07Now facing the complaint of violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act
03:11is suspended Porac Mayor Jing Capil
03:14and he is the current and former official of Porac, Pampanga.
03:18This is in accordance with their actions in giving a permit
03:21to operate Lucky South 99.
03:24They are the ones who approved the business permit
03:26that Lucky South is not qualified for POGO.
03:30If you look at the application forms,
03:33it is blank but it was processed.
03:35The primary purpose of Lucky South is outsourcing, not POGO.
03:41This is against their primary and secondary purposes.
03:45GMA Integrated News is working hard to get the evidence of the complaints.
