00:46Or Tannehill or we asked you like three years ago, Baker Mayfield, is he ever going to,
00:49we talked, I would have said, okay, last off season, my guy, we talked a ton about when,
00:54when Mac Jones is starting quarterback going into the Bill O'Brien year, we talked a ton
00:56that off season, whether or not the Patriots should bring in Baker Mayfield on like a flyer
01:00contract.
01:01So to compete with Mac Jones, like two years ago, if you asked Baker Mayfield, we would
01:04have said no.
01:05I would have said no.
01:06So my guess is Mac Jones will be a team's plan starter going into a season, but either
01:13the rookie that he's on the team with plays really poorly and he goes in or he's not ready,
01:18right?
01:19Like you're calling percent was the starter this year for five weeks.
01:21So Mac Jones will probably be a starter somewhere else.
01:24He just, he's not very good.
01:26He doesn't do anything at like an elite level, but he's probably competent enough to stay
01:31in the league.
01:32And if you stay in the league, opportunities pop up for you.
01:36Like the number of guys was last year, did they set a record?
01:39It was like 70 quarterback started the game, something, some crazy number like that.
01:44So my guess is next off season, especially if Bill goes to Jacksonville, Mac Jones gets
01:48blown out of there, but maybe he goes and he's on the same team as Carson Beck or Quinn
01:53yours and he starts over him until he does it.
01:56Or like, you know, Joe Flacco obviously had a much better career, but just look at the
02:00way he's kind of gotten into these games the last couple of seasons where you're like,
02:03that wasn't the plan, but here he is for five weeks.
02:06So I think he's probably just at that level where he stays in the league because even
02:10though almost everybody unanimously thinks he's a bad quarterback, look up the list of
02:15backup quarterbacks in the NFL.
02:17Like just the two deep, forget the three deep, just the backup quarterbacks in the NFL are
02:22almost all people you've never heard of or like, God, you'd never want that player playing.
02:27So I think he'll be in the league and so he'll probably get some starts.
