00:11are all very special to the Jets and really, really important to the success of the Newcastle Jets football club.
00:19It's been five months since we stepped in and came up to Newcastle. It's been fantastic. We're all a bit tired. It's only round one.
00:28But tonight it is a celebration about the players and the coaches and the staff who are going to put on the pride on the park.
00:37I think it is exciting times ahead. Having seen a bit of the boys and the girls at training, they're looking sharp, energetic, dynamic.
00:46You've got the hardest working group of coaches and support staff I've ever come across in my time in football.
00:54And importantly, a large percentage of them are genuine Maverick athletes. They genuinely care about football in this region,
01:04about the development of players and the success of their professional team. So I think the ingredients are all there.
