Talk of disgruntled Chloe Kelly a 'non-event' for Taylor

City boss Taylor addresses questions on whether Chloe Kelly has become disgruntled at a lack of playing time

00:00There's no news on the contract front. I felt like the story was a bit of a non-event, if I'm honest,

00:05particularly after such a solid performance from us at the weekend.

00:10It just beggars belief, really, that people want to focus on that.

00:14But Chloe's been great. She's really working hard. She's really engaged.

00:18She's really aligned with what we're doing.

00:20And she understands, like the rest of the players at the top end of the pitch,

00:24that things are slightly different from maybe the last season or two,

00:27where we have been able to strengthen in those areas.

00:31She's contributed this season, for sure.

00:35And like the rest of the players that I talk to, whether it be Mary,

00:39whether it be Alba, whether it be Lauren Hemp, whether it be Bunny,

00:43you've got to be ready to play.

00:45And if you're needed, of course, go and do your bit.

00:49But if you're not, you need to be mentally prepared for the next opportunity.

00:52And Chloe's doing that really well, I have to say.

00:55She's been great in that sense.

00:56She's really, like I say, really aligned.

00:59She's with the team, for sure.

01:01She's really, really trying to work so hard for the team.

01:04And sometimes you get the rewards off the back of that and sometimes you don't.

01:08But she's doing everything that we expect of her.

01:10She's contributed with goals and assists already this season,

01:13in the limited time that she's had.

01:16And that's exactly what we're looking for.
