00:00Mark and John made it very clear that it's about football and this excited me very quickly
00:11because I was not sure before we had this first talk if this is a role for me like in
00:17international football because the schedule is very different from club football.
00:22We will build on it, I think Gareth and DFA did a fantastic job in terms of stability
00:30and consistency, look at the last results in the tournament, it's a quarter-final, semi-final
00:36and two finals in the last four tournaments, it's outstanding so we will build on everything
00:43that Gareth built and DFA built and hopefully we can add a little bit of extra to get it
00:50over the line.
00:55I always wanted to come back to England, that was my big goal, I have the best memories
01:01of the country, of the league and of the players.
01:04The attitude towards the game, the attitude from the supporters that shapes the players
01:10and the character of the players was one of a kind and that's why the offer came at the
01:17absolutely right time.
01:23It's 18 months and then we agreed to sit together and then we see.
01:28The point was in this particular case that it was important for me to have a frame around
01:35it because it's a little bit of a step into the unknown for me.
01:38I am used to work on a daily basis with the staff, I'm used to work with a daily basis
01:42on the team, to have the influence on 60, 80 people in a training camp on every single
01:48day to be three days a week away in hotel rooms and prepare matches and this will be
01:55very different.
01:57We are here to work on the best possible outcome for the World Cup 26 and then let's see, whatever
02:10comes, comes.
02:11Now I think it's also very important to give the respect to Lee and the camp, the upcoming
02:18camp in November, to take his decisions free and without me interfering.
