00:00I will honestly say Clark Atlanta has been such an amazing place to just mold me as an individual.
00:08Not only was I able to be a part of everything that I wanted to be a part of, I mean you name
00:13it, SGA, I was an athlete all four years and I've been an athlete for my entire life, but
00:19just being able to gain all of those connections and networks and being able to knock on my
00:26professor's door like, hey I may need to retake that test, you know, just things like that has
00:33really shaped me into the individual that I am and then on top of that I've had so many
00:37opportunities to really show people what I can do. Like you have so many opportunities to sit back
00:46and say nothing, you know, like every opportunity is an opportunity to sit back and say nothing,
00:51but when you actually put yourself in a position to speak and like Jazz was saying earlier, you know,
00:58to ensure that people know that you're in the room, you have to. I mean you have to take it and
01:04like I was saying earlier, you know, being in corporate as, you know, young black woman, only black
01:09woman sometimes, you're looked at as maybe she doesn't know as much, you know, maybe she's not
01:14supposed to be here and imposter syndrome, y'all, is real. It is real and I see you like you will be
01:22sitting, I have sat in places and I'm like, do I, should I be here? Like, you know, I don't know what
01:29they're talking about. I don't, I don't know what they're saying, but commanding your seat at the
01:34table is something that you have to do. You cannot sit back and relax because this is a time where
01:41black people are striving. We are successful and if you sit back, they're going to let you,
01:46they're going to let you sit back and they're going to say she didn't add anything to the conversation
01:51and it's like you didn't ask, but that's what they're going to say. So you have to demand your
01:56space and just allow people to hear your voice because when they hear your voice, I promise they
02:02won't try it again.
