00:04My visit to Sunderland has been great so far. It's been great to see a lot of like cool things that are very similar to home.
00:10It's very similar like to have a lot of old buildings and a lot of connections. It's been really nice.
00:15And were you aware of the connection between George Washington and your place Washington DC back in the States?
00:20Were you aware of that connection?
00:22Now I am aware of the Washington Hall and his ancestral family being from the Sunderland area.
00:27Okay then. And Sabrina, how have you found your visit so far?
00:30I found it to be really eye-opening and exhilarating. I love seeing the architecture, old and the new.
00:39And connecting history from one event to another.
00:43Were you aware of the connection between the two Washingtons?
00:46I was not.
00:47And so did you enjoy your visit to Washington Old Hall?
00:49I did.
00:50And were you aware of Sunderland as a place before that?
00:53Yes.
00:54How did you find out about Sunderland? You were telling me earlier.
00:56Football.
00:57And was it the Sunderland's Lie Die series?
01:00A little bit of it.
01:01Okay. And Sam, how have you found the visit so far?
01:04I found the visit really fun. It's really interesting to see different historical sites as well as cultural and social differences between us and the other students.
01:13And Jessica, what's it been like for you having the students from the US come to visit?
01:17It's been really cool because we've had a chance to meet new people and make new friends.
01:23And Tom, are you looking forward to going out there and doing the exchange in the other direction?
01:27Yeah, since I've never been abroad it's a good first experience to go abroad. Just meeting up with new people and seeing how other people live.
01:35And do you all plan to stay in touch?
01:36Yeah.
