Fathers and sons creating political dynasties is fairly common. What isn’t as common but does happen from time to time is when brothers help each other’s political standing. Andrew Cuomo was the governor of New York for nearly four terms. The world didn’t always like what he did or said, but enough of them consistently thought he was the right man for the job. Chris was by his side, reporting the local news as it happened. He reported on wars, homelessness, and more.

Both of them did make positive changes for their city. Those were overshadowed when the questionable things they’d been doing behind the scenes came to light. Andrew got hit with not one but a long list of sexual assault allegations. He denied them all, but the world couldn’t ignore it as they kept piling up.

Chris said he’d never interview his brother because of the conflict of interest. That didn’t seem to prevent him from interfering in the investigation into the allegations. He sought out information before the professionals so he could coach Andrew on how to respond to it. These issues cost both the Cuomo brothers their jobs. They refuse to go down without a fight, filing suits against their opponents. They’ve also tried to salvage their careers, but the damage may be too deep. Chris’s newest show already debuted to poor ratings. Andrew can try to take opinion polls to see his likelihood for future office, but he may not like the results.
