00:11Wow, we're in Marrakech and what a place!
00:14You can really feel the life in this city and choose your own adventure here.
00:20Like this, the exciting and famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jemma al-Fina Square.
00:31There is so much to see and experience.
00:35All around you is an abundance of scents and colors, exploring the narrow streets of Marrakech's Medina.
00:42With incredible arts and crafts on display, while you're at the Medina, you must visit the iconic landmark of Dar al-Basha.
00:50Today, this incredible 18th century palace is a museum and home to several art galleries, showcasing Marrakech's unique culture and history.
01:00I am lucky enough to be at the Royal Golf Marrakech, which is truly a paradise to play golf in.
01:07And this famous course has got a rich history. It is indeed the second oldest course in Morocco.
01:13Is that right, Stefan?
01:14It is. Welcome, Amy. Welcome to Royal.
01:16Good to see you. Thank you. What an absolute pleasure it is to be here.
01:20Thanks for coming. This is a historical place. It's our little paradise. We hope you enjoy your day.
01:26It's looking absolutely stunning. What a true pleasure to be here.
01:30So, Stefan, just how much history is there at this course?
01:33Well, we're almost 100 years old.
01:35So, the original course, 18 holes, built 1927, and the new course, 2009.
01:42So, where are we now? This is looking spectacular.
01:45This is our signature hole. It's Brigitte Bardot.
01:48You can see by the way it's shaped, and it's a beautiful, challenging par 3.
01:57It's like an oasis with thousands of different trees lining the fairways.
02:02And for animals, you're probably going to see gazelle walking around.
02:10They are so unique with how they handle sustainability and managing their water consumption so carefully.
02:16This here is recycled water from the city of Marrakech that is used to water all the golf courses of the city.
02:27To top this off, Royal Golf Marrakech has been awarded Best New Clubhouse by Golfing Magazine.
02:37So, it really is the most ideal place to end the day.
02:43Well, any golfer deserves to be treated to a wonderful massage.
02:48So, where better than the Royal Mansour, which has been awarded World's Best Spa.
02:54Now that I've fully pampered myself, it's time for another round of golf.
02:59I'm here at the Fairmont Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, which is known for its botanical beauty.
03:04As you can see, it leaves a fantastic first impression.
03:07And Clément here can tell us what more is in store for us.
03:10Amy, welcome. Let me show you around.
03:15I'm on a very special island here. This is the 10th. It's a par 4.
03:20Very tricky, not least because of all the water you've got to navigate across.
03:23But wow, divine view of rolling hills beyond.
03:26Clément, can you show us how it's done?
03:28Sure. Let me try, Amy.
03:32The Royal Fairmont has a modern yet relaxed atmosphere.
03:35The course is wrapped in landscaped water gardens, giving visitors a sublime escape from the bustle of the city.
03:43I'm on the third tee. This is the signature hole.
03:45And wow, it looks like a painting out there. It's so beautiful.
03:50After a hard day out on the course, Marrakech still has much more to offer.
03:57Catching up and relaxing with friends in one of Marrakech's many atmospheric rooftop terraces creates some wonderful memories.
04:07Marrakech is globally recognized for its cultural life and artistic scene.
04:12It's a city that has inspired renowned designers such as Yves Saint Laurent.
