00:00Now I come to the schedule for Maharashtra.
00:29This will be in single phase.
00:31The notifications, date of notifications are in front of you.
00:3722nd October would be date of notification.
00:43Last date of making nomination would be 29th October.
00:47Scrutiny on 30th October and last date for withdrawal 4th and date of poll in Maharashtra
00:53would be 20th 11.
00:57Scheduling would be on 23rd, 11th, 24th and you will notice that date of poll is Wednesday.
01:04This is deliberately, which lot of scheduling, whatever goes into scheduling, we have tried
01:12that it is midday so that issue of urban apathy is handled.
01:19And in case of urban apathy, we are really, really very concerned.
01:25We want to make appeal through you to all our esteemed voters in the urban areas to
01:32please come and vote.
01:33It is not a healthy trend which is reflected.
01:37If I give you a brief of what is happening across the elections in the urban apathy,
01:42we will share this slide with you.
01:45If you look at various states, you look at Gurgaon, you look at Faridabad recently, last
01:52elections you look at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, you look at Bengaluru South, you look at
01:57Gujarat, Gandhigarh, Colaba, Mumbai City, Pune, Thane, all are much, much below the
02:07state averages of each state.
02:11We will be conducting a special meeting of the Municipal Commissioners and DOs within
02:17a week's time to appeal again to do whatever we can do to motivate the voters in the urban
02:24areas.
02:25But the trends are really not good.
02:29If I show you the Lok Sabha, that was the Lok Sabha, if I show you legislative assemblies,
02:35see the lowest, the Colaba was just 40%, 62 of 64 urban ACs in Maharashtra were less than
02:47the state average in 2019.
02:50So was the case in the parliamentary elections 2024 also.
02:57And just to give you a contrast, if you compare, so what was the situation in Lok Sabha in
03:04Kalyan was 50%, Mumbai South 50%, Mumbai North, Thane, Pune, Mumbai South, everything 53%.
