Mexican authorities deploy more than a thousand soldiers to confront organized crime in the state of Michoacán. The troops arrived at the 43 military zone, based in Apatzingán, to carry out duties of patrolling and to fight criminal organizations, which are mainly harassing farmers, who are the victims of continuous extortion and violence. The uniformed officers, whose task is to guarantee security, will have armored vehicles from the secretariat of national defense to patrol rural and urban zones.
