00:00The National Electoral Council of Honduras informed on Monday that around 2.3 million citizens equivalent to 40% of the electoral roll participated in the primary elections on Sunday, March 9th.
00:12The president of the National Electoral Council, Cosette López, gave a report on the electoral process in which she said that despite some difficulties with the delivery of electoral material in some regions of the country, the electoral process took place peacefully.
00:28She indicated that the voting process suffered some inconveniences. However, she offered preliminary results with a 50% of the votes counted, in which Derrick Simoncada, Salvador Nasralla and Nastri Asfura positioned as the favourites to advance to the general elections on November 30.
